I’m on the side of the gang plank that says save his ship!
SERIOUS (but smiling while I write it) BLUNT RANT follows:
First of all, Ariel is a total stranger who tries to knock his brains out and slit his throat. As if she gives a flying fin for Hook’s welfare except so she can use him to get what she wants. Talk about selfish! HA. His only interest is when she gives him the clue about the Jolly Roger. As, frankly, it should be! He is totally lost without his ship, and though Smee does his anti-pirate best to try and cast a doubt on Hook’s sanity by questioning Hook’s love for his” home” as if it were a woman…(it is the symbolism, you little bilge rat, symbolism!! By the way…loved the * I am dreaming of cheese* line), Hook is desperate for a connection to everything he loved and lost. Liam, Milah…and a way to cross realms to Emma. He is going to give it up for some dude he has never heard of and his bat/knife wielding girlfriend? Give up his a part of his past and soul that he lost??? Not bloody likely with his passionate, sometimes impetuous, temperament.
Oh, and Blackbeard can suddenly be trusted? He’s a scumbag. (a very cool costume, but a total scum) Who’s to say he isn’t lying through his teeth and Eric is long gone anyway? No, get the ship, then with the help of the psssst MERMAID, go find Eric. I’m sure she has under(water)world *connections*.
Harsh? Maybe, I just think quite a few of Disney’s Princesses are hypocrites!! It is OK for her to sneak attack a guy from behind with a brutal bat to the head, but she is all *love, honor, decency* when it comes to what she specifically wants. A.C.C.O.U.N.T.A.B.I.L.I.T.Y. for everyone.
The self-torture and pain of Hook, the man, sometimes seems to be *acceptable* and earned because, after all, he is just *a pirate*. His pain isn’t as noble somehow. Pfffft. Every character in the show is flawed and has a partially violent or criminal past. Including Emma. The righteous can be particularly cruel. Hook is very adept at beating himself up over his bad form very well on his own. Both he and Emma habitually beat themselves up to a pulp emotionally.
Obviously Hook has some very painful demons to conquer. He, like every other character, has things for which to make amends. And should. For the sanity of his own soul AND
for the sake of the now perfectly laid out trail for he and Emma to finally embrace the love, the truth and each other, literally!!!
And by Goddess, Colin has a phenomenal face/talent for smoldering, beautiful tortured angst!
I’m tired of him constantly being dumped on (grin). The other OUAT characters doing it are bad enough. Double standards and all that. But being a scapegoat for the entire non-Hooking, *self-indulging, whiney, wallowing in denial* group of fans who can’t accept that their particular glamorized little dream world never materialized from the creators’ plans is plenty annoying enough, thank-you! heh.
I am more than sure that Hook also gets much of the hate because he is gorgeous, desirable, sexy, edgy, dark and a bit of the forbidden fruit in the minds of many fans entrenched in the Disneyesque lore of what is Sweet and Good and an acceptable, pure Happily Ever After image.
*I am also for him telling all about the curse, no matter how much it may damage his pride. (We’ll see how much the viewers get played by A & E. They can move quite fast when they want to get to a point) Together the rest of them can be formidable and forewarned against the green biaaaatch’s lunacy. She will try to kill them all anyway, yes. They will eventually win, and I think Emma’s ultimate power will be the deciding factor…no matter how we are torn asunder in the mean time! But they can be totally kick butt when they work together. And much more fun.

I am too in fact I am sure he will this will match when David went to Hook about the poison in NL, Hook will tell David his problem. I also think Emma wouldn’t be affected by this curse either like when Cora tried to take her heart she couldn’t same thing with Emma’s magic the Witch can’t take it.
Another option is the next episode Glinda appears so perhaps she solves this for the Charming family.
Footnote: Again I would like to give you all Hook fans a shout out for not throwing Hook into the Neal fans face in chat on the threads, if the shoe was on a different foot so to speak I really doubt if they would have been so kind to you Hook fans as you were to them and still are in my opinion.^^^ I won’t lie HE sometimes it’s really hard for me to not be like
around here but I try temper some of my excitement lol.

HE – thank you for your kind words! They are much appreciated…to be quite honest I almost hit my breaking point yesterday, I was so sick and tired of feeling like I walk around on eggshells 90% of the time and get dumped on if I venture outside this one thread. I was this close to leaving the forum altogether (seriously it’s a sad day when tumblr is more positive)but my shipmates and fellow OUATers had some excellent posts here to draw me back in!

It was dropped when there is still SO MUCH TIME for resolution. It was dropped at the halfway point of this mini season. This is it, this is the apex of their story arc this season. The first 5 episodes laid the foundation and built the momentum, this changed the game, and now the last 5 episodes will deal with its fallout.

All of this is not to say they won’t have some sort of cliffhanger at the end of the season. But they will complete the CS True Love arc. Because that is how this show rolls. They did it in S1 with Snowing. They did it in S2 with Rumbelle. The couples always end in a strong place together, and then are tasked with facing a new threat.TOGETHER. And since S3 is Captain Swan’s time to shine, you can bet those ratty yoga pants you’re sporting that they are headed for the same fate.So sit back, grab a jar of Nutella and a spoon to ease that pain, and let’s enjoy, shall we?
