I actually really dont mind if something like this goes down, because it kind of makes sense in a lot of ways- esp from the writers/ A&E perspective!

So it looks like we’re getting a cs kiss in 3×19 but if it’s not a TLK that’s still ok so let me explain

I know a lot of people are assuming that, even though Hook’s cursed, that kissing Emma wouldn’t take away her powers because of the power of True Love’s Kiss. That’s a valid theory, but it’s not a fact. We don’t know how the writers are choosing to portray the nuances of TLK. Hook kissing Emma could very well take away her magic but that doesn’t mean that he and Emma aren’t True Love.

His curse was specifically put in place to potentially nullify a TLK (from more of a writer’s perspective than from what Zelena planned on achieving). I think it could be interesting for Emma to lose her magic and try to figure out how to be the Savior without it, and I think that the writers could have handled this in any number of ways but the fact that they chose Hook and his lips signifies that it was meant to contrast what we expect to happen with a TLK (or at least build up the suspense that it might).

And remember, you don’t need magic to perform a successful TLK. Look at Charming and Snow, or even Aurora and Philip. They don’t have magic but were able successfully wake up their loved ones. So I think, if we don’t get a TLK (and Emma just loses her magic) it could be a set up to have an actually successful TLK (which is gonna happen by the end of the season, it’s just a matter of when) that restores her powers and then she can defeat Zelena. So like, they’ll think all hope is lost but throughout everything Emma’s fully accepted her feelings for Hook and then they kiss and then BAM she has her powers back and there’s hope that they can be beat Zelena.

I honestly don’t know how the episode (or the rest of the season) is gonna go. But I don’t wanna hear people whining about something that may or may not happen. People get too invested in fan speculation and then take it as gospel, but then end up getting disappointed when it doesn’t pan out. Just watch the episode with an open mind.

If we get a TLK, great: everyone gets their memories back and Zelena maybe goes into hiding and then manages to travel back in time and that’s the struggle for the finale. If we don’t get a TLK, still good: Emma loses her powers and tries to figure out how to defeat Zelena without magic; when all hope seems to be lost, Hook and Emma eventually do share a TLK and then Emma is able to beat Zelena at the last minute.

    & Just because I think it’s worth noting …. again 😉

Ergo, anyone who insists they aren’t TL, is kind kidding themselves 😉

And really considering how many villains have interfered with captain swan at this point –  it’s way more than snowing ever had. That says something.

    TRUE LOVE

And honestly I would be very disappointed at this point if CS is not true. That would be very bad, horrible writing and seriously, my biggest pet peeve.

think about how mad I was with what they did with Pinocchio- my reaction to CS not being TL would be worse.

Not only that but it’s the master piece of my whole TL meta which I started in October!!!

I have so much invested in this from the writing standpoint.

Happy Once Day!!!  I think this is going to be IT for us guys!!  We basically have no spoiler pictures at all for this episode so it was shot in studio, none of the promos have had any CS moments but we KNOW the episode MUST contain CS moments because how does Henry get taken by the WW WITHOUT CS moments?  I mean Emma is going to have to either find out about the kissing curse or they are going to kiss (or both).  I saw a tumblr post where someone mentioned that the next episode is “Kansas” and if they actually leave SB and go to the real Kansas (which they probably do since Walsh said he was from Kansas) and we have pictures of the gang IN Kansas, the curse has to be broken in this episode in order for them to be able to leave SB.  They have been remarkably silent about this episode except to say it is a Snowing episode but I think that is only because we find out about the rest of the missing year via Snowing flashbacks.  It’s like they have purposely kept silent about CS.  But did you all see the tweet about the Huey Lewis song and read the lyrics?  It totally makes sense with the episode title “A Curious Thing” and the upcoming “Back to the Future” episodes, and the lyrics basically spell out what happens with a TLK.

I’m not gonna lie – I’m super excited about tonight’s episode.  I’m just glad we have a really busy day today so it will go by FAST!!

It is going to be a busy episode as usual. TLK or not (and with Adam and Eddy you can expect nothing but being totally played!) we’ll certainly see our favorite duo inch closer to…whatever! A&E are in overdrive to get their  story lines laid out. I’ve basically emptied my head ( which takes increasingly less time to do these days!) of all “what ifs” and intend to let it flow and then hope for some afterglow!! because if nothing else… we’ll KNOW we’ll get the hormone spiking luscious leather hunk in a trunk moments! Hubba hubba. enjoyyyyy!

Also, I thought the whole Captain Cobra scene about the “loaded dice” was . . . random.

Especially since Killy specifically said “The secret to winning . . . loaded dice.”

So I did some research on “loaded dice”, “loading the dice”, “the dice were loaded from the start”, etc.  Aside from the literal translation of loaded dice, it figuratively means that the odds were against you from the start because forces were in places beforehand that guaranteed the outcome.

So it is interesting that this scene takes place in the episode where Greenie curses Killy’s lips.  At the beginning of the episode you have Killy and Henry “bonding” over what appears to be Killy teaching Henry how to “cheat” at a game.  And Henry points out that it is cheating and has a kind of has a problem with this . . . but not really because it is just two guys hanging out doing guy things together and Henry is desparate for a father figure in his life (this is memory loss Henry who has never known Neal).  Then Killy points out that Henry should practice since loaded dice is the secret to winning the game – as he gets up to walk over to Snowing who are standing there with GREENIE DISGUISED AS ARIEL.  GAME ON.

Then at the end of the episode we have Greenie cursing our sweet pirate’s lips.  But here’s the thing.  The dice were loaded from the start.  Emma and Killian are True Love.  Forces were in place beforehand that have guaranteed the outcome of a kiss between a True Love a couple – True Love’s Kiss can break any curse.  So it doesn’t matter that Killian is cursed.  The secret to winning the game is loaded dice.  And it’s interesting that the thing that Greenie threatened was Henry – the person that Killy had JUST taught how to “cheat” at dice.  So isn’t it appropriate that Killy would actually PROVE to Henry that the secret to winning the game really IS loaded dice – and NOT in an actual “cheating” fashion, but in a heroic, I-just-saved-you-and-your-entire-family-and-brought-back-your-memories-and-saved-your-mother’s-magic-and-defeated-the-WW fashion?  Wouldn’t this once again prove all the Hook haters wrong when they complain that he is a bad influence on Henry because he was teaching him to cheat at dice when Henry reminds a everyone that Killy was right – the secret to winning really WAS loaded dice – the fact that he and his mom are True Love, which he will probably point out he has known all along?  Everyone will see the point to the whole thing was foreshadowing and NOT to have Killian actually training Henry to set out for Vegas (although that would be a GREAT episode!).  So I really believe we are getting our TLK tonight, this is just ANOTHER thing that shows they have been setting us up for it.

Hook haters aren’t interested in proof. They are only interested in searching for excuses to love the Hate.

    the haters aren’t important.

CS’rs driving attitude is concentrated on seeking and loving the Love.

And yes, rumplegoldfan, you are right…”loading the dice” is such a wonderfully multi-layered metaphor !!

It was interesting, I was reading an article somewhere (Maybe EW?) and it was interviewing Kevin Williamson who created Dawson’s Creek.  He was talking about making tv in the 90s vs making tv now, and how back then their little website for the show was novel but nothing like what we have today with official websites and unofficial sites and forums and tumblr and twitter…He said now some people hate-watch…and it comes across to the showrunners that do interact with their fans as these people, though entitled to their opinion, seem to only watch certain things to hate it and then spew their hate to anything and everyone.  I had never really thought about it in that way, but it does seem to be true for some people.  It came out around the same time as the A&E interview where they point out that ‘fan pandering’ doesn’t happen because shows are written months and months before anything hits the screen and viewers give their ‘feedback’.  I think it’s good to finally see showrunners really giving their thoughts and opinions on that small but loud faction that have the audacity to think it’s ok to essentially say to someone “this thing you’ve worked incredibly hard on sucks and this is how you should do it even though I know nothing about what you actually do” – while the world watches.  It really made me look at the ‘haters’ – of any and all groups – and see how ineffective it is, and just let it roll off my back a little more.

Anywho, I too cannot wait for tonight’s ep!  I’ve decided to put less thought into the hows and whys of the curse(s) and just see what they decide to do, so I really have no idea if I think there will or won’t be a TLK and what I’ll think of either option!  Of course…that might also be because I had my cousin’s bachelorette last night and am working on about 4 hours of alcohol induced sleep…so if I make it to 8 I’ll be pretty gosh darn excited!!
