[adrotate group="5"]That is an interesting theory RGF. The first thing I thought when I saw the overhead shot was wow Emma and Killian stand out! Why is everyone wearing pale gold/white?
So I was thinking about the wedding spoiler and possible CS. I know a lot of people say that it parallels the first episode of 3B but wouldn’t it make more sense for the parallel to be Killian proposing since that is as far as Walsh got and not a wedding but this time Emma accepts? Personally as long as we get some TLKing I am going to be one happy shipper but that wet spot on Killian’s knee in the fan BTS photo was suspicious 😛 It WAS in his Mr. Darcy outfit so it would make sense that it was during the past FTL. Maybe to go in line with RGF’s theory they leave the ball “fake” married and Killian is like well I am going to do this right and he proposes. Regardless this episode is going to be amazing I am so excited!!
edit – someone on tumblr pointed out that the spot on the knee is prob from spying on Snowing in the woods since he is in that outfit. Still excited for the episode though!!

The argument that bugs me right now is that Neal died to make way for CS. That I don’t get. All Emma has to do is make a choice and that is the ship that sails. If A&E want CS, Neal wasn’t going to stop that. If any story required the death of Neal, its Rumple’s and Rumbelle’s arc. It is the only way to keep Rumple interesting and hopefully breathe some life into Rumbelle as Belle will finally have to truly acknowledge Rumple’s dark side.
I strongly disagree that Neal’s death was the only way to keep Rumple interesting and breathe life into RumBelle. If RumBelle were just allowed to be in a room together for more than 5 minutes without being interrupted by either the Charmings or some other crisis, you would see they are one of the most interesting couples on the show especially in regards to OQ and Snowing.
I do agree that Neal’s death was not just so that CS could happen. In many ways, Neal’s death has actually hindered CS as rather than it being Emma’s choice, it’s become seen as one guy died so the other guy could win. If the writers were really trying to push CS, they would have been better off having Neal live and Emma choose Hook over Neal.

I do agree with Obisgirl- I very rarely venture into chat, as there are a few members whom I simply cant stand the attitude of & it’s easier to stay away (I dont mind people having opinions- thats fair enough & expected, I do mind having to justify or defend “why” I like what I like etc. or have my opinion countered by someone elses- ie. I cant stand when someone says I love/like/ship so & so, then someone else pipes up with why they hate/dislike so & so- that drives me insane lol)
You guys should come into chat more. I’m there a lot. It’s good to hear everyone’s opinions.
I used to hate Hook, especially from 211 onwards (guess why lol) however season 3 changed my opinion of him. 3A, my opinion started to change then he blew it. 3B however, is a whole different story. I’d gone from not liking Hook at all in season 2 and wanting him dead, to kind of liking him in 3A, not liking him, liking him a bit, not liking him too much and not being worried if he did die, to really liking Hook in 3B and actually would’ve been disappointed if he had died. So my opinion on Hook covered the whole sliding scale.
With the exception of his plan to take Henry to New York ( which though done with the best of intentions, was ill thought out and would’ve been a living nightmare for Emma if Henry had just suddenly disappeared on her with Zelena on the loose. Hook should’ve asked.) Aside from that, I can’t fault Hook at all in 3B

Keeper of FelixIf you get chat at the right time, it can be fun. I usually hop on after I get out of work (I’m on the US East Coast) and there’s usually a good variety of people there. And there are still some people I have to steer clear of but if I’m not too fed up I can usually let it go in one ear and out the other…everyone’s right! We should make our (positive) presence known! In chat and the threads. There’s power in numbers, people!
The thing that upsets me here is the Hook/Neal comparison. It seems ok to bash Hook and I’ve seen plenty of it. But – and maybe I have ‘shipper goggles’ on but I don’t think so – I think we keep the anti-Neal stuff to a minimum, even in this thread. Most of our opinions actually range from blah-Neal to I-like-Neal here. And those of us that dislike Neal seem to leave those opinions on other forums and threads. So when you see people openly bashing your character, it just comes across as mean, which is discouraging.
Luckily the Rumbellers seem to be coming around – agreed, PoM & Angiebelle especially! 🙂 So I’m thinking if some of the Rumbellers can ‘forgive’ Hook, then I’m hoping SFers can come around too, eventually. Especially since Rumple/Hook were flat out enemies, and Neal/Hook’s relationship was a lot more complex and a lot less antagonistic (when they weren’t acting like 12 year olds with their 1st crush…)
@ Callmelola yes, I had been using Surayya’s post note idea… but after the umteenth time it fell off and with the hundred of little notes it accumulated, I chucked… thinking I could go it alone – that I could ‘handle it.’ lol – obviously I coulnt
@ JennaB I think we all tone it down because of the reception we get and also I think a lot of us do it out of respect for the site – not to cause trouble, and then for the SF who were greiving. But yes, enough already. I feel like we have to hide our happiness.
@ RGF agreed. Neal is DEAD. I was never Anti Bae/Neal but I am soooo tired of reading how Neal was a Hero. BS, Bologna, Hogwash, nonsense. He was domino 1 in this whole fiasco. and sending the memory potion was just a mitigating action IMO – not an act of heroism. And when he had Emma separate him and rumple – that was just the inevitable conclusion to events that he put into motion a year prior. It was nice that he relieved his father of the burden that rumple assumed to SAVE Neal, but I do not call it heroic. I can totally understand how he got into that position… desperation makes you do crazy things – but it was not heroic one bit.
@ RGF i would love to watch at the same time… i cant squee with anyone at home. they think i’m crazy.
It’s weird to continually read reactions to Neal’s death. My initial reaction was not that he was heroic. It was more, Rumple’s in the position that he is but Neal acted without thinking of the consequences. And for someone who’s held up a cross against any kind of magic, it was really very surprising to see him overlook the consequences and do what he did. And then I remembered, this was the same guy who had a brilliant idea to use an innocent 4-year old to attract a shadow, so he can get a free ride to Neverland. Again, if Mulan had not been there, little Roland would have been lost forever. I’m almost sure of it.
I don’t think what Neal did was heroic. The heroic thing was sending Hook the message, especially in the bad shape he was.
I’ve said it before, but Neal’s death has actually been foreshadow before. Emma even wished that Neal was really dead because she wanted to move on and almost every secret in the Echo Caves have come true in 3B. But I am happy that he gave Emma closure to move on. She needed that.
Neal’s behaviour in Quiet Minds is only OOC if you consider him using Roland as bait was OOC. However since Rolandgate is presented as in character that means Neal was in character in Quiet Minds.
I wonder if having both minds sharing one body actually made both Rumple and Neal weaker as time went on, both personalities fighting for dominance until eventually one would simply cease to exist.
Also Hook gets a lot of stick for choosing the JR over Eric saying that he “killed” a man for a ship. But I disagree. The JR wasn’t just a ship to Hook, it was the one constant in his life. It was more beneficial to have the JR in the long run rather than trusting the word of Blackbeard. Ariel also found Eric alive and they are living together on their island which suggests Eric was never in any real danger of dying anyway. Hook felt guilty over his decision because that is the human thing to do, I’d be more concerned if he didn’t feel guilt over it.
