Yeah, it’s been really fun working with Colin and having Emma interact with that character because they’re definitely kindred spirits. They’re both thieves, and they’ve come from troubled pasts, and they’ve both lost a true love, and so I think that there’s a lot that they recognize in each other. So there’s that camaraderie and also that combativeness with that right away.

I think their relationship is a funny one. I think they both enjoy the banter that they have with each other. Even though she pretends not to, he definitely does. I think there are very few women in Hook’s life who’ve ever gone, “Nope, not interested.” For him, that’s like, “Whoa.” The challenge has sort of been set.

Did you always intended to have Hook in love with Emma? Was that something you planned out or was it something that developed because of the actor’s chemistry onscreen?
Eddy: Always.
Adam: Always. I mean, listen… You go into these things with the best intentions. That is to say we loved the idea that Hook and Emma would be kindred spirits and that is why we kind of wrote that in the beanstalk episode of season 2. But of course, you know, there’s always the chance that there isn’t any chemistry. We were very lucky that we feel that Hook and Emma have an enormous amount of chemistry so that kind of allowed us to stick to the plan that we wanted.

she’s good that way 🙂 )- she thought she had 2 morning feeds in coming lol & was a bit put out at the lack of feed bucket…she did enjoy the apple I offered though :p I do think I scared one of my cats a little though- the other one just put up with a hug in ture kitty fashion …
& then they both ran around the house & property like they were on fire because I was so excited & the horse was excited & everyone was going WTH has got into her? o.O LOLHaha @rumplegoldfan – I’m VERY introverted & shy in ‘real life’, so it takes me awhile to feel comfortable enough to talk openly at the best of times, however Once (& horses), are the ONLY times I really am able to express whats really going on inside. If my Oncer friends knew me in person they’d be shocked at the difference lol- I’m without a doubt the most contained, quiet, shy person in my circle or peers (despite that I’m still the one everyone goes to 1st for advice & help lol), but my 2 passions in life allow me a sense of total, unbridled freedom … so I might go a little crazy on Monday/Sunday lol 😉

You are so lucky! I’ve seriously wanted to go to Canada since I was 3yrs old- esp Vancouver & the wider BC area. It’s beyond expensive to travel anywhere (well aside from maybe Auzzie & Antarctica) from NZ- it’s near on $4000 per person, just for economy (round trip) plane tickets! So cant see a holiday costing us any less than $-6000-$7000 per person *sigh*
I’m hoping one day, after I’ve brought a lifestyle block of my own, to get there. You guys are so lucky living on big land masses like you do- you can visit other countries just by driving if you wanted too, which is just a plain bizarre concept to us ‘islands at the bottom of the planet’ Kiwis lol

After reading the A&E interview, I’ve come to the conclusion you’d have to be a blind horse not to see where they wanted Hook and Emma to go. Neal just threw a spanner in the works, she was never going to go back to him. He was just an obstacle. I’ve read people say that he didn’t have to die, Emma only had to choose. But I think having Neal die makes things easier for MRJ as an actor. That way he’s not hanging around in the background just being ‘Henry’s father’. (And honestly, what else was there for Neal to do, if he wasn’t going to get with Emma again?) There are already complaints about “where’s Ruby? where’s Mulan?” because the actors have gone off to do other things. If Emma chose Hook (and of course she was always going to) when Neal isn’t in every single episode they’ll be asking “where’s Neal?” It makes a clean break. Also if Neal hadn’t died we wouldn’t get back evil!Rumple, who I enjoy immensely 😀
