Wondering if perhaps they roomed together?
With one bed? I smell another ship name coming on! 😆
[adrotate group="5"]faux paxParticipantHe’s the main character in White Collar, a Tv show that comes on the USA network. It was a joke…that apparentally nobody got… :ugeek: 😕

Part of me still thinks he might be a criminal, but more of a con artist/ scammer.
I smell a OUAT/White collar cross over. 😮 I know! Neal is Bae… omg. Wait, wrong eye color. There goes my fangirl dreams…
faux paxParticipantAriel, K&H have actually said otherwise.
faux paxParticipantI guess we’ll just have to wait and see. What bothers me though, is why would they give the White ribbat such an important introduction as the opening scene? I mean in a lot of ways it mirrors what we saw of Emma in the first epp.
faux paxParticipantPoint. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see

There really are quite a lot of parallels between Baelfire and Emma, even if they don’t know each other yet. That being said, I could see Baelfire having a ‘troubled’ past as well. If he and Emma did have some type of relationship, if she was present during some intense nightmares – I could see that freaking her out. And, if she overheard parts of his nightmares, she could think the guy was crazy and violent. Who could blame her from getting out of that situation or lying to her son so he doesn’t go searching for a crazy guy?
In the end, I think a Baelfire/Emma relationship had two already damaged people who were not emotionally stable enough to be in any relationship in the first place. So – young adults + abandonment issues + damaged + sex don’t mix. I’m even going to skip a few levels and even throw ‘true love’ into the mix. If they are each others ‘true loves’, the intensity of those feelings surfacing could have made both of them run the other direction.
I like the idea of them being true loves for a lot of reasons (although i really want to see how the actors play it out before i make any judgements) and you make their story sound so sad… 🙁 . But you might be right and it would just be another thing for Bae to hate Rumple for.
I like the idea that the biggest obstacle for Emma and her True Love to be together is something internal. That seems to be the biggest difference between relationships in FTL and here: In FTL the thing keeping true love apart is always on the outside (an overbearing mother, an arranged marriage, a cursed apple) but in our world, it’s usually on the inside (not being willing to choose, or let your walls down enough to let anyone in).
faux paxParticipantSo perhaps in Emma’s brain she’s thinking her parents entrusted her fate to a 7 year old boy and then he abandoned her too…
Now that is heartbreaking. Suddenly i’m drowning in feels thinking about the next epp…
faux paxParticipantI guess. I still really like the Frankie theory and since his identity is going to be told on the halloween epp, i think it’s more likely.
I’m not sure how I feel about them bringing gods into it. It would seem like it was veering a bit too much into Percy Jackson territory.
faux paxParticipantThat’s one of the things I love most about this show. Everyone can have their own opinions, but there is no character that is hated by all (or even a significant portion) of the fans. Everyone has redeeming qualities even if they are evil or a twisted little imp.
