Henry shouldn’t get to feel sorry for himself after lying to Emma to get her out of the house. But okay, he’s a teenager, and teenagers sulk. Regina shouldn’t be critical of Emma manipulating Henry’s feelings, since Regina and Henry manipulated Emma’s feelings.

If Merlin can see the future, then why did he choose Arthur? Isn’t there someone else more worthy?
I think it’s like the Hercules episode “Once Upon a Future King”, where the experiences are part of Merlin’s plan to turn Arthur into a good king.
This would parallel Emma’s plan for Rumpel.

Okay, I know we’ve discussed this many, many times, but do you think this absolute ban on any mention of Nealfire comes from the Trolls, ABC, and/or Disney???

I mean Hook could have said the sword actually belonged to Rumpel and that Mila took it when she was ran away for protection and kept it ever since.

Let’s be real. The actual reason Bae’s shawl wasn’t used is because Baelfire was written out of the show in favor of Hook.
I doubt it. I think it was all for the bait-and-switch right before Emma revived Rumpel. The show needs to gather dramatic momentum; I think it’s better for the showrunners to work with what they have here and now than to dwell on favourite things from the past.

The sword Emma used never touched Rumple. He shouldn’t be awake at all. Reason #13564 why they should have used something of Nealfire’s.
I assume head-Rumpel has been lying to Emma about everything. Or maybe it’s “touched” as in “shaped his life”, not requiring physical contact.
Anyway, scowling Emma looming over comatose Rumpel with the sword made for a more menacing bit of misdirection than the shawl would have.

It’s Merlin’s modus operandi, though, and I think it would be fitting for Merlin to already be talking to them while they’re searching for a way to contact him.

My question is why will Rumpel obey her? Whats he getting out of it?
Real-Rumpel and head-Rumpel (“The Dark Ones were created by man…”) have a plan to get the power back from Emma now that Rumpel has been resurrected in a healthy body. But as real-Rumpel learns to think for himself…
