I’m glad to see Rumpel acting sensibly by making decoys of the thing that makes him vulnerable. I would have thought it would be standard practice for each new Dark One to make a bunch of fake daggers. If Rumpel’s behaviour is any indication, though, this might be a bad idea, since it seems to split the Dark One into contradictory personalities.

GaultheriaParticipantI think Emma is a more interesting character without magic, just like Batman with superpowers wouldn’t be Batman.

But though I like the show a lot, I don’t really have favourite characters, and so I thankfully haven’t had to deal with any emotional fallout when Stuff has happened. (Although I do know what that’s like; I remember when they killed Spock.)

A and E could be insanely creative if they weren’t worried about angering Disney fans.
I think they have to be very careful about messing with people’s (especially children’s) sense of identity.

He’s not token in that way, but he would be token. He would the be closeted, sweet, guy who everyone turns to but just “never knew about.” I think when OUAT does bring this up in show it should be something bold and not something everyone would suspect. Like, I want Hercules to be gay and dating his trainer Phil (who is not half goat…) because it’s a deviation from the stereotypical depictions.
Yeah. The show itself has this ongoing theme about how there’s a lot more to any particular character’s story than what people think they already know, and going against stereotype would fit with that theme.

I think a female couple now might come across as a bit late, a bit conciliatory. A male couple, I think, would be a bigger challenge.

GaultheriaParticipantNeal was submerged when the curse hit Rumpel, so I think Neal just got carried along without experiencing the memory effects.
As for Regina always saying “it can’t be done”, she seems to be just a user of magic, while Emma and Zelena are creators of magic.

GaultheriaParticipantI wonder if “light” is a play on words, advice to use finesse rather than overwhelming strength. How close does the magic bow have to be before it can target Zelena’s power crystal? Do the arrows work like cruise missiles?

GaultheriaParticipantI think Zelena’s plan is to swap her younger self for the Charming baby, only she doesn’t realize that that’s how she gets to Oz in the first place. Zelena has strong, innate magic, just like Emma’s product-of-true-love magic, and I think that’s not just a coincidence.

GaultheriaParticipantIt’s just a guess, but it would be irony with a capital “I”, so that’s what I hope happens.
Edited to add: In Safari’s font, that looks like ‘irony with a capital “L”‘, and I like the sound of that even more, though I have no idea what it could mean.
