ParticipantActually i don’t think there is a time differential. I think it is possible, but i don’t think that is what is happening. I also don’t really think they need to ever show Alice. They don’t usually show the part of the story we know with the exception of Snow’s story. Like with Cinderella they showed the before, after, and some in between, but they never showed Thomas and Cinderella meet and fall in love because that is the story we know. So i think the same will be true with the story of Alice in Wonderland. They showed some before, how the hatter became mad, but there doesn’t seem to be a reason to show the events of Alice’s story.

ParticipantI can’t imagine living somewhere like that without modern medicine for one. I sort of go back in forth between what i want to happen. I don’t think that Emma will go one place though and Henry another whatever they do they will go together.

ParticipantThat is actually why i would say that everyone else is not exactly collateral damage because i think the Queen did mean to hurt everyone else. That was part of her goal, but, of course, it is still her main goal to hurt Snow. It was Snow that she went to so that she could see her suffering as the curse took over. Though she was also looking for Emma. I would think of collateral damage as people she did not mean to hurt, but i actually think that the Queen meant to hurt everyone so it isn’t exactly collateral damage. Just my opinion.

ParticipantI thought that was because Ruby is supposed to be quite a bit younger so he was creeping when he was caught trying to talk her up.

ParticipantOh yeah for the purposes of the thread i think that makes sense. I just wonder what it is if Red has one. Just like i wonder if Charming has another name because it makes sense that James is his the dead twin’s name.

ParticipantAnd there may have been a time differential in the book as in Narnia where no matter how long the characters spent in the other world they come back at the same point that they left their world. And there may be a time differential between worlds. All of that is possible, but the Hatter was in Storybrooke and has been trapped their for the last 28 years, so i think that the events of Alice in Wonderland happened before Emma was born.
Also it didn’t seem like the Queen or Jefferson were worried about how much time was going to pass in the fairytale land while they were in Wonderland so i think that it is unlikely that time is working differently between worlds meaning that if you pop into Wonderland for a day, three centuries could go by in fairytale land. No one would risk that. And it seemed like this was not Jefferson and Regina’s first trip into another world.
The first thing may be possible, that no matter how long they spend in another world they return to their world at the exact moment they left. I don’t want that to be the cause because i don’t want Emma to be a baby at the end of this series. I like that idea as long as it does not apply to the end game of the show.
Though that does beg the question of how does the real world know about the stories from other worlds and those stories are old known stories in our world.

I think that it was easier for Cinderella and Thomas because Regina is not actively going after them. The curse created a situation where they were not together, but that is it. With Snow and Charming, Regina is actively doing everything she can, everything, to make sure they don’t end up together.
I think that the Queen was going after everyone, but only because they supported Snow. Like Snow said Regina isn’t a queen anymore and it seems like the people have decided to support Snow and Charming in the fight against Regina. Though i do think that really Regina is hurting everyone else just to hurt Snow because like Phee said Snow is Regina’s main concern.

ParticipantThat is a good idea Phee. The adoption maybe be shady and illegitimate. When it really comes down to it though Regina is a mass murderer and completely crazy so it is sort of disturbing that Henry lives with her. Just like it is disturbing when Regina touches anyone or gets too close to them. I guess that is all Henry has with Regina. I never feel like she is going to kill him when she touches him.
I do want there to be some sort of redemption for Regina, but i am not sure how that will play out.

ParticipantI do wonder if Red has another name in fairytale land though because when she met Snow she said everyone calls me Red suggesting that was not her given name.

ParticipantThey aren’t going to kill August. He is in the photos for the next one. And i don’t think they would do all this to kill him, at least not before the finale. I think there are a lot of characters they could decide to kill off in the finale.
