I agree. I hope that his character ends up being interesting in the end. I think that is one of the reasons i don’t like him being Pinocchio. That doesn’t seem all that interesting. And it doesn’t have anything to do with the curse or information about the curse or anything like that.
I couldn’t agree more
[adrotate group="5"]kalliopekiseesParticipantI think I just cried a little bit after reading the episode 20 spoiler. I was soo hopeful for something other than what it appears to be. Grrrrr it is a cruel cruel world.
kalliopekiseesParticipantSome say the song is tribute to searching for answers, not finding them, but continuing the journey until found. Story sound familar?

Ep 4 is an Emma episode using Cinderella.
And features Rumple. The prince disapears at the well when he goes for water.
Side note: in 1984 the band Kansas relased a greatest hit album with a special version of….. Carry on you wayward son.
kalliopekiseesParticipantI’m now lookingfor meaning and clues in the date on August’s plate: 1984. I have a thing about numbers. If they refer to episodes:
Episode 4: The price of Gold
Episode 8: Desperate Souls
Episode 19: The ReturnAll are about Rumpled and two focus on Rumpled and Bae. Episode 4 has the well in it. Interesting.
kalliopekiseesParticipantAugust came into town with an agenda and with full awareness that the book exists. He road into town with an old fashioned typewriter strapped to his bike which I believe he intended to use to makes changes to the book. How does August know about the book and why would his character want to change it? How would making changes to the book further the agenda of say Pinocchio, The Wizard of Oz, Bae, or Peter Pan?
When broken down, his names’ meanings are:
August: “lordly” or “venerated.”
Wayne: “wagon / cart builder or driver”. I also think of the word WANE: to decrease in strength, intensity 2. to decline in power, importance, prosperity,
Booth: Herald / From the Market Stall / typical dwelling place of a cowherd or shepherd / Herdsman
What does his name tell us and does it somehow tie into Pinocchio, The Wizard of Oz, Bae, or Peter Pan?
I just keeping thinking….
On a side note, I would not care much for August being Pinocchio, but it keeps pointing in that direction (BOOOOO). In the Grimm’s version of Pinocchio, Pinocchio’s leg gets hurt when he is a donkey, that is how he gets cast into the sea.

Hey, this is pretty random, but did anyone else notice the thin white line going around August’s neck? It looks like a scar to me, but could have been just a crease in the skin.Maybe he had his head lopped off? lol
EDIT: You can really see it in the scene where he and Emma are talking just before they find Kathryn.
I noticed it too.
I am sooo confused and think way too much about this character. Have no idea anymore who I think he may be. Its kinda sad when you find yourself playing sceens in slow motion looking for hints to see why his leg hurt. I did like the reference to the Billy Goats Gruff right before they walked down, however.
Only two more weeks to go!
kalliopekiseesParticipantI just saw a picture on another site from The Return. Bae is showing Rumple what appears to be his hurt knee. Hmmmmm
kalliopekiseesParticipantDid anyone also notice in the begining of Hat Trick when Henry was reading the book, he face looked a bit confused? Like he noticed a change in the story he was reading.
kalliopekiseesParticipantRegina can really hold a grudge and as we know be quite vengeful. I think she is going to try and rid FTL of her mother. I like the theory floating around that Regina kills Cora. Maybe that is how she inherits the powers and really becomes quite evil.
I almost feel that Cora would be proud of Regina seeking revenge and becoming darker in character. Like she would give herself a pat on the back thinking “WOW, I taught my daughter well!”
