Rumple’s colors have mainly been red, purple, and black. I was once trying to catalog this but it got a bit overwhelming and they haven’t been overly consistent, especially with him and Regina (who is mainly purple but has other shades too).

Um, Belle doesn’t know everything that happened when Regina took her heart, but she KNOWS her heart was removed and Gold and Will TOLD her that Regina took it to get back at Gold.

That and Killian’s reaction to a sonogram were two of my favorite bits of the ep 🙂

The comment that 5B will be “Hell” has had me thinking that Killian MIGHT sacrifice his life to save Emma somehow…and they’d go to the underworld after him. If they save Killian and NOT Neal (or at least Baelfire), I will throw things. Of course this is all rather wild speculation but still.

I think it’s Hook, but he’s been extra broody since Emma became the Dark One. Extra Extra broody.

Let’s be real. The actual reason Bae’s shawl wasn’t used is because Baelfire was written out of the show in favor of Hook.
I doubt it. I think it was all for the bait-and-switch right before Emma revived Rumpel. The show needs to gather dramatic momentum; I think it’s better for the showrunners to work with what they have here and now than to dwell on favourite things from the past.
They definitely have to choose their focus, but my favorite moments are when the continuity is beautiful and the callbacks feel natural. That’s when the world feels real and the characters alive.

I’m headcanoning for my own sanity that Bae’s shawl was either buried with him or Rumple locked it up in the safe with a spell Belle cannot break.
But I agree with the rest of you guys when I’m not desperately trying to make things make sense.

A theory on the purpose of the dreamcatchers…she tells Hook how she can’t get rid of the DO voice in her head. Maybe she’s hoping the dreamcatchers can somehow block the RumpleDO visions.
(And of course it is a link back to the first time she consciously did magic, and to Neal which they emphasized later in S4 when she told Lily about him.)

Dreamcatchers aren’t all that hard. I’ve got one I made when I was about 13 that’s been hanging over my bed all those years. People sometimes do them at camps or scouting things…she may well have made one as a kid at some foster/group home event. Who knows.
