I feel like MJR said in one of his inteviews–he “ships it all, baby” and so do I. What happened with Neal is really nothing new, it’s just not between the lines anymore. So the tide will turn the other way now, and we’re going to get the moment where Hook realizes that the price of revenge is too high, and he is going to put it aside to help save everyone in SB, even if it means saving Rumpel. Emma will then see something new in Hook.

Neal’s already shown a willingness to co-parent with Emma, though in the context of thinking he’d be with Tamara. In the end, he truly loves Henry and nothing drives him more than that, not even Emma. That’s why he let go of her hand–for Henry.

The writers set up the parallel in Tallahassee so CS isn’t just a fan invention out of nowhere. There are clues and I really think there will be more to come on that front pretty soon. It’s unfortunate that fan to fan we can’t be a bit nicer and sensitive that people like different things but for every fan reaction there’s an equal and opposite fan reaction I suppose.

At some point, the writers will have to disappoint one faction of fans or another, but I really do have faith they’ll give us enough new storyline that we change our minds about what we think we want when it happens. (Perhaps Wendy will be a factor for Neal? Ariel for Hook? Harem for Emma?)
Like Owen/Greg–first I was wary of “the stranger”, then I was hoping he’d beat Regina, then when it was happening I wasn’t totally crushed to find out what she did to his father. Still sad for Kurt though–but I’m not rooting for Greg so much anymore. In terms of ships, if they can give me this roller coaster I’ll strap in for the ride, but I realize there are those who are going to pick one way of looking at things and stick with it and feel upset over it not playing out exactly as they envisioned. I’m not happy that others are unhappy, but just as with real roller coasters– I actually enjoy the ride with the twists and turns and up and down, even if I see someone else is just wishing the ride were over saying they want to get off.

So hang on–it may be bumpy right now but the ride isn’t over yet.

I will definitely be keeping this ship in mind if I’m forced to find somebody new for Hook and if it doesn’t appear we’re getting Eric as I doubt they’d start mish-mashing now when they haven’t before.

Rumpel is a character from his own fairy tale that they merged into Beast to introduce Belle. That is an exact parallel to what making Hook into Eric would be.

Here are some of the mishmashes:
Cora is the Miller’s Daughter from the tale Rumpelstilskin. She’s also the Queen of Hearts, from Alice in Wonderland. While the original tale of Snow White doesn’t feature the EQ’s mother, Cora is that too.

Genie (or a Genie because I refuse to believe he was Aladdin’s Genie!) is also the Magic Mirror.

Rumpel was also the “crocodile” from Peter Pan.

Ruby was both the wolf and little Red.

Snow meeting Red might have been a nod to Snowwhite and Rose Red ‘s fairy tale.

They don’t always combine two iconic classic/fairytale characters in one ONCE character, but they clearly have done so several times.

I think I could enjoy it if they did a blend with Eric and Hook, depending on how they do it.

It was quite the episode, but for once I'm glad I knew the spoilers because otherwise I would have been splat on the floor from the portal scene. I'm glad I know he isn't dead!

What is Emma going to do next? I’m still wondering how she got over Neal choosing to find Tallhassee with Tamara so fast, but I guess when you think you’ll never get another chance to say it, you just cut to the chase. So much angst!

There was also the comment that “the shadow” first started to appear “around the time” Bae came, according to what Wendy said.

Wendy sort of brought the Lost Boys home in the play version so there’s a definite connection plus it is in keeping with making female characters who were more passive into active leads (as they did with Snow, Red–even Cora !).

The other theory, besides characters from curse afflicted worlds looking for their missing friends, is maybe the organization was started because of the Dark One, the original Dark One. DIdn’t BF say that it didn’t belong in FTL? Well if so then perhaps it came from somewhere else–somewhere perhaps where those powers were not even a bad thing per se.

I like the bridge/plugged conduit idea but initially I thought that what Cora did was to make the last tiny drop, stuck in another shell perhaps, multiply itself into a lake. Changing the size of something is associated in a way with Wonderland (small drop to big lake maybe?). I don’t think she could open portals so easily even to call the lake back from other mystical waters.

Does that mean the Siren comes back too?

What if she (Wendy) is the one of the ones that started it? We assume it is someone “real world” running the organization, but maybe it was formed in response to the curse itself from within an afflicted world. That would be sort of new and different from the usual government organization thing. Someone on another thread brought up Igor, Whales assistent–there must have been characters left behind that searched for answers for where people went.

No, it’s Hook. It makes me sick, and I don’t know how they’ll cell it. It’s definitely going to be Hook, though.

Why do you always think Hook’s going to die, especially when there is no evidence to back up these claims? Do you actually want Hook to die, despite claiming that it makes you “sick”?

I have this strange wish now to see Chicken Little /Henny Penny added to the show next season.

There have to be at least 3 stops–NL, Victorian London and present day U.S. somehow.
If there’s stuff beyond that….well…won’t that be interesting to see!
