StahlopParticipant
I think Alice is still the Guardian, Rumple is trying to find a way for him to be rid of the dagger with giving her the immortality that goes with it.
[adrotate group="5"]StahlopParticipantI think he is slowly going dark as opposed to being regular Rumple in the crocodile skin. Remember, right before the curse he said he kept Gold in a special room in his head. So I think it was just a slow crawl for the insanity of the dark one to retake him once it started.
StahlopParticipantGreat episode! If they can keep this pace through the end of the season I’ll be very happy.
Liked:
Rumple was amazing in this episode. His little idiosyncrasies when he was still himself but reverting back was just awesome. Robert Carlyle just hit it out of the ball park this episode!
Robin and Tilly’s relationship is so sweet in both realms. If only they’d made them the true love story instead of Henry and Jacinda, this show would’ve been so much better this season.
Alice is the true guardian! Thank goodness that mystery is solved. Now we can move on to getting Henry cured and this damn curse removed so we’re not stuck in the ridiculous story we’ve been in all season.
Nook and Rumple becoming friends. Who knew?
Mixed:
I thought Drew was under Samdi’s control. How is he able to do things against Samdi on his own free will?
I get that Regina is scared for Henry, but I’m a little tired of her crying over so many things this season. Is it because she no longer has EQ in her that she can’t keep her emotions in check? I mean, great work from Lana Parilla, but it’s getting old.
Why would Henry tell Jacinda about the paternity test? What purpose is that going to serve either of them?
Dislike:
Why does Rogers continually put his job at risk by bringing Henry along? Seriously, I get it’s for storyline purposes, but it annoys me every time he does it.
Can someone please wake up Rogers? Also, does he have a first name? I just realized that neither he or Weaver have first names today (of course, Gold didn’t either).
I actually missed Zelena this episode. I hate Regina having to go at this alone again.
StahlopParticipantOz, while you have to use a portal or a cyclone to get to it, is part of the original Enchanted Forest realm.
While it IS part of the same universe, it is not in the same realm, as evidenced by its door in the Realm Jumper.
But Oz is part of the realms reached by the Mad Hatter’s hat, which only goes to realms encompassed in the original Enchanted Forest.
StahlopParticipantCan someone remind me: did we ever learn why Jacinda wanted to kill the Prince from the first episode of the season?
Didn’t she believe he was responsible for her father’s death somehow?
StahlopParticipantAlice took a heart. Wow. Alright, then. How did Rumpel convince her to do that?
She looks pretty surprised that she did it. Not in the sense that she was trying to take it, but in the sense that she wasn’t expecting that to happen at all.
StahlopParticipantI had no idea how they were gonna pull off Hansel & Gretel in Oz but they did it!
–Hansel and Gretel are from Oz? Zelena’s Oz? As in Oz of Universe 1.0? How…? Why…? What…?
How was there an alternative Hansel, Gretel and Witch in Oz? That made absolutely no sense in any way! I can’t even think of the logistics as to how that could be possible.
Most likely, the gingerbread house is in Bunbury, a place in Quadling Country (southern Oz).
Sorry if this comes up twice, but my first post seems to have disappeared.
This still doesn’t make any sense. Oz, while you have to use a portal or a cyclone to get to it, is part of the original Enchanted Forest realm. There should not be another Hansel, Gretel, father (once again no mother) and witch. We previously saw the original Enchanted Forest’s crew back in season one in the episode True North.
We know that this Hansel and Gretel belong in the Enchanted Forest 2.0 because they have interacted with characters from there. Hansel/Jack with Henry and Gretel with Gothel and Drizella.
I thought at one point the witch had somehow transported her house from Enchanted Forest 2.0 to Oz (or possibly with a cyclone) with Hansel and Gretel in it, but then Zelena ran into their father living in the woods so that squashed that theory.
The truth is that there is no possible way an alternate Hansel and Gretel story should be taking place in Oz and the writers messed up.
StahlopParticipantThe necklace was given to Zelena by Glinda to help channel her magic. Even though she’d had magic her whole life, it basically became the source of her magic. So when the witch damaged it, it hurt Zelena.
StahlopParticipantThis one looks good!!! I’m wondering if Samdi somehow turned Rumple back into old Rumple like we saw in the winter finale. That would definitely explain why Alice thinks it’s her fault.
StahlopParticipantGothel has never said she wanted the dagger, just that she’s been looking for the Guardian for what ever reason. Still hasn’t been explained.
Fascilier went from mildly interesting to just annoying pretty fast. I think they’re trying to give him that same subtlety that Rumple had, but the actor just doesn’t have the chops for it.
