Josephine I agree with you completely! Maleficent is IMO the most bad-*** evil character and I always found her more evil and scarier than the EQ from Snow White. I thought the Step mother in Cinderella was evil but then she is voiced by the same actress who voiced Maleficent (I think Cinderella came first). I would love to see Maleficent more, and more true to the evil movie version. And Prince Philip out Prince’s Prince Charming any day.

Since when? #146072lorem ipsumParticipantRegina has had a suspicion if not certainty since ep 2 regarding Emma. I think if you re-watch the episodes, Regina makes subtle hints regarding Emma’s arrival to SB and things changing, Emma causing trouble (for Regina anyway). I’m thinking Henry’s outburst of good winning might have been the clincher. Henry went to find Emma after all and brought her to SB, he has the book and believes in the curse. Regina knows Henry knows and believes in the curse and that he wants it broken. That scene between Regina and Henry is the first where Henry tells her straight out what he thinks. His only mistake is that he doesn’t know that Regina knows about the savior.
lorem ipsumParticipantJefferson or Maleficent in SB. Huntsman in FTL. I wish they would make Jefferson a permanent character or supporting character like Ruby et al. Quit his other show, whatever it is, and move to OUAT.
lorem ipsumParticipantI agree that Maleficent sounds like the obvious candidate. But her Storybrooke counterpart? The doctor/administrator taking care of Belle (in the asylum)? Or in the hospital itself. How about a homeless woman? But wouldn’t it be great if she remembers! All the evil people remember.
lorem ipsumParticipantThere is an old fashioned phone in the elevator so I don’t think it is the mines. I think either the library of the hospital but am hedging towards the library. Also, what does everyone think about the part where Emma picks up Henry’s book and it “shines” (for lack of a better word). She looks surprised or zapped by the book’s power.

On the age issue, Bae could easily still be alive if, as Gold said, he travled through TIME and space.
As far as whether Pinocchio is an interesting character, I’ll say this: while I actually liked the Disney movie telling that story when I was young, I can’t say that in my older years I’ve cared much for ANY fairytale character. Yet, I love this show and I have more interest in fairytales now than I would have thought possible as a result. My feeling is that if these writers decide to make Pinocchio an important character, he’s going to be awesome. Let’s face it: Snow White was a tad lame until OUaT happened. 😉

lorem ipsumParticipantI thought it was confirmed by Jane Esperson via a tweet that August called Henry. Did I miss something otherwise?

Pied Piper: I have a feeling He/she/it’s coming. I thought when Regina built the playground we’d see a Pied Piper story come out of it and the kids would end up in the mine or something but the writers didn’t go that direction BUT I have a hunch it’s coming and the plot may go waaay off the deep end when The Piper starts calling.
When Rumple told Bae he had led the children away from the Ogres War I immediately thought of the Pied Piper.

as i said in another post, August might be turning back into wood for each lie he says… which is why at first he doesn’t lie, but then sees it as worth risking it if he can get rumple’s dagger to command him to cure him or something…
Perhaps one of the consequences of telling a lie is turning back into a puppet. In the Disney version, whenever Pinocchio told a lie, his nose would grow. Also, in order to become real in the first place, he had to be brave and truthful. Perhaps the inverse it true, too. If he lies, he goes from real to wooden. August told a huge lie when he pretended to be Baelfire to trick Mr. Gold.
I like this theory! If August has to be Pinocchio (which I still hope he isnt), I like the idea that with every lie, parts of him turn to wood. Great imagination!
