3 cartoons aimed at kids (Legend of Korra, Adventure Time, Steven Universe), along with one of the silliest, most outlandish, and intellectually bankrupt family shows, in what is quite possibly the entire universe -Doctor Who has a cannon married, inter-species, lesbian couple.
The thing about Legend of Korra is that it too was done in the totally ambiguous way, most likely because Nickelodeon wasn’t going to take the full risk. The creators did confirm it was legit after the fact, but still.
It wouldn’t surprise me if they were one off’s. I think it’s more Hades’s story than Herc’s and Meg’s.
Also, oh Bailee. Fun.
Makes me wonder if they’re finally paying attention to all the criticism about current storyarcs spending so much time on the recurring guest stars, and not enough on the core cast? I mean, one off guest were pretty common back in Season 1, so maybe they’re going back to that direction?
I honestly can’t see Once going beyond 5B storywise. We’re getting the dark one mythology done in 5A which is one of the “big” storylines that was left to be done. In 5B we’re getting Hades so they are literally going up against a god, you’ve got past big bads and villains returning. It all has a “final battle” vibe to it
I don’t know where Once could go that would up the stakes fro what we’re getting in season 5.
People said the same thing about Season 4, because many felt like the author of the book and Heroes vs. Villains were end of series type deals. However, Season 5 still happened despite all of that. I recall Adam and Eddy mentioning that they don’t have current plans to end the show anytime soon either, so Season 5 being the final Season or not totally depends on ratings and contract renewals.
Am I the only one who got the feeling that a lot of people were upset about both the latest episodes (for various reasons) and it might affect the ratings for next episodes badly?
I would say 508’s reception was more so split, while the reception for 509 was overwhelmingly negative. I expect that most people will stick around til the end of 5A at the very least. Every mid-Season finale has seen a drop, so it’ll be interesting to see if that remains a trend for when 511 airs. Even then, I doubt the drop would be significant. I still think 5B will be the true test.

It’s official, 512 will premiere on March 6th, and it’ll only be one episode. However, since they have to end the Season on May 8th because of the Billboard Music Awards, they still presumably have to schedule another 2 hour other than the finale:
Whitesell and Rohl are currently set for just the one episode.
How strange, so Herc and Meg might only be one offs?
