Wonder who that guy in the robe next to Hook is? Could he be Merlin? Or maybe he’s the original Dark One, since the robe looks similar to previous Dark One robes that Rumple and Zoso wore.

So instead of expanding the picture, they are adding to it. Interesting.

Guessing Emma is going to come out of the vault, hence why it’s there. Why she needed to go back to the vault, we don’t know.

I thought it was Never Give Up On Those You Love or some such nonsense?
That was the theme they kept giving for Season 4A, actually.
Cruella is from Fictional England so if a lot of the realms are connected by water maybe it just required a boat ride.
I was thinking perhaps she followed Isaac to a portal back to the Enchanted Forest. Even though she couldn’t kill him, perhaps she still wanted to keep tabs on him and find a loophole that would allow her to get what she wants.
Lion King might be right up their alley, actually, because while we all know it’s animals in the animal kingdom, the narrative is pretty much straight up Hamlet. So it wouldn’t take too much effort to just make them all human again, a la William Shakespeare
At that point, you might as well just directly adapt Hamlet instead. Unless you re-theme the Lion King story as an African tribe story, or something. Actually, that might not be a bad idea, especially when it would be a way of adding more diversity into the show.
