ModeratorCongrats on Sean and Bex. I think they’re keeping Michael Socha, because he was still listed in the cast for the Season 5 press release. When we got our first Season 4 press release during last year’s upfronts, Michael Raymond-James had already been removed from the cast list.
It wouldn’t make sense to drop one half of a popular pairing for Zelena, a character nobody really likes.
To be fair, Zelena still has her fair share of fans. Yes a lot of people hate her, just like a lot of people hate plenty of other characters, but that doesn’t mean their opinion is the only one.

ModeratorSo they’re going for a African British actor for Merlin. Interesting, and nice way to give a person of color an important role. They’re also seeking a Latina to play Guinevere.

ModeratorWait… Avalon? What is that? It souds familiar >> Is that, like, a place in Camelot?
From Wikipedia:
Avalon is a legendary island featured in the Arthurian legend. It first appears in Geoffrey of Monmouth’s 1136 pseudohistorical account Historia Regum Britanniae (“The History of the Kings of Britain”) as the place where King Arthur’s sword Excalibur was forged and later where Arthur was taken to recover from his wounds after the Battle of Camlann. Avalon was associated from an early date with mystical practices and people such as Morgan le Fay.

Interesting that Sean was up for the Huntsman role. Seems he was destined to be Regina’s lover.
That reminds me how Gil McKinney said he auditioned for both Daniel and Hook, before he finally got cast as Prince Eric.

Moderator1) Where did Emma go?
I think she might still be in Storybrooke somewhere.
2) What is Merlin’s backstory?
Merlin wanted the power to maintain peace in the universe, but he had to expel his inner darkness in order to do so. Merlin tried to vanquish the darkness, but he could not, so he had no choice but to have another vessel absorb the darkness. He then created the dagger to control the darkness.
3) Will we see Arthur/Guienvere/Lancelot?
Yes, and I think we may even see Lancelot return. Wouldn’t be surprised if Cora lied that she killed him, and he is still alive.
4) Who was the original Dark One?
Either Morgan Le Fay or Mordred.
5) Who will have control of Emma’s dagger?
Hook, Henry or her parents.
6) Will we see Zelena again? Will we see August again? Will we see Ursula again?
Zelena is still pregnant, so I expect that storyline to continue in some form. I think we could see August again, as he is still an adult, but it depends on Eion Bailey’s availability. We won’t see Ursula again.
7) Will we other lands besides the EF and (maybe) Camelot?
Agrabah, if we get Aladdin. Wonderland is another possibility, if they actually take the time to finally explain what happened to Anastasia.
8) Who is Lily’s father?
Merlin.
9) Will Rumple wake up? When?
Yes, and unlike many people here, I think he will wake up as soon as the Season premiere.
10) Will Henry get a new quill?
Nope. He made it clear that he thinks nobody should have that power.
11) Is the Apprentice dead?
Yes.
12) How will the SB gang find Emma?
They will use the dagger to summon her.

ModeratorWhile rewatching “Desperate Souls”, there was something rather interesting that grabbed my attention. Zoso tells Rumple that he knows how to recognize a desperate soul, right before he dies and Rumple becomes the new Dark One. Well, at the end of the episode, Gold just so happens to tell Emma “I know how to recognize a desperate soul”, in regards to why he helped her become Sheriff. Little did we know that 3 Seasons later, Emma would succeed Rumple as the next Dark One.

ModeratorDid the Apprentice live with the Sorcerer? If he is here, and the mansion is here, shouldn’t the sorcerer be here? Do you guys think they will have to find the Sorcerer in SB? I know Apprentice said he was “far, far away” but I don’t see why… But then again, they can open portals so *shrug*
Well it seemed like the Sorcerer didn’t live with the Apprentice back in the EF. The one time we saw the two talk to one another, the Apprentice was talking to a cauldron and a puff of smoke. My guess is that the cauldron is essentially their version of Skype, and they were communicating from different locations.
MatthewPaul
ModeratorI don’t think the Apprentice came over in the original curse. Somehow he was protected (no, don’t ask me how). He came over in the Snow-cast curse, but not Regina’s. He used the door or other plot device to get to our world and talk with Lily and apparently August.
Exactly. We already saw that the Apprentice could just magically create a portal connecting the EF to our world on at least 3 occasions. First time was when he created that door for Ingrid, the second time was when he sent baby Lily into our world, and the third time was when he created a door to take Isaac into the EF for the first time. So apparently him and Merlin have always been powerful enough to create portals with the snap of the fingers, including ones to Lands Without Magic. As for why Rumple didn’t take advantage of this if he had known, well it’s clear that he and Merlin did not see eye to eye.

Moderator4.01 in Germany is called “Elsa und Anna von Arendelle” – “Elsa and Anna from Arendelle”. Oh, and the movie “Tomorrowland” is called in Germany “A World Beyond”. I don’t know, why they changed one english Title in an other. It doesn’t make sense to me.
When did Season 4 start airing in Germany? Genuinely curious.
