ModeratorSo staying the same basically means that the GA didn’t necessarily hate or Robin/Zelena story OR that they didn’t care enough to stop watching. But that might be our floor for the season.
As I said before, the big drops kinda stop this far into the Season, because this is the point where the majority of the viewers are clearly the dedicated ones. Why drop now when there’s only a few more weeks to get through? I agree, a 1.6 might be our floor. Also, for being up against an awards show, it’s not bad that we stayed flat, but that could tie into what I just mentioned.

ModeratorFunny thing is that Gotham coincidentally had a similar story in its 18th episode, while this is OUAT’s 18th episode of the Season too.
While Gordon is investigating Commissioner Loeb, they find his daughter Miriam kept away in an attic. At first they suspect that Loeb killed his own wife, but it turns out that Miriam had killed her, and Loeb has been trying to keep it under wraps to protect his daughter this entire time.

ModeratorI think it’s not just that Emma killed Cruella that’s going to start Emma’s path towards darkness, but the fact that she did so in rage. It felt like she let her anger get the best of her, similar to what we saw in the episode “The Snow Queen.” Some have brought up that Emma could have used her magic in other ways rather than resorting to killing Cruella, which is a valid point. Emma couldn’t just try poofing Henry out of Cruella’s clutches, or at the very least use her magic to disarm her? Yes she was still saving Henry, but she took the most extreme route to do so.

ModeratorUhm, so Lily appears to be going under the alias “Staria.” A reference to her star mark?

ModeratorJust realized this photo is new:

Interesting to see August there.

ModeratorDisagree. I think Rumple is actually going to lose his Dark One powers, and Emma is going to be the new Dark One and the next Big Bad.

ModeratorNo credit for the voice of the Sorcerer, it seems. So either it will be revealed via the onscreen credits like with Yvette Nicole Brown as Ursula, or the voice is being kept underwraps til a future episode for whatever reason. Maybe we’re only hearing the Sorcerer in this episode, but seeing him in the flesh later on.

ModeratorWe stayed flat for last night’s episode at a 1.6 demo and 5.12 million viewers.

ModeratorI think that’s what I liked about it, actually. It was finally something different from the same tired story.
Agreed. Plus, realistically, not every sinful person has a sob story in regards to why they’re the way they are. Evil can be made in many different ways. We’re all born clean slates, but something could trigger a person to snap later on. There could be numerous reasons why Cruella ended up becoming a psychopath, but it’s not like this doesn’t happen in the real world.

ModeratorOkay, found it, it was from TVline:
TVLINE | Can you give a hint as to how her magic leans?
EDDY KITSIS | It leans towards what she wears on her back. It deals with animals.
HOROWITZ | And it’s dark.In hindsight, I can see how I misinterpreted this….. So i’ll just..yeah…

Yeah, they were probably hinting at her power of persuasion over animals.
