Guys help a girl out. I can’t put some pieces together. Rumple says that he got “fairy magic” (right?) to turn August back into wood during the torture scene. But…where did he get fairy magic from..?

    Quote

He said he paid a visit to their “ample supply of magic.” So I guess he stole it from their convent?

Barclay Hope is the same actor who played Lily’s adoptive father. I do wonder why we’re seeing him, though.

Hm. Good catch. So maybe we’re shown when he adopts Lily (maybe as an infant, since Nicole Munoz isn’t credited), but where does Young Emma fit into this episode? Hm.

Still positive that the Peddler is the Author. Lana said that we would first meet the Author without knowing that he is the Author. Seems to me we’ll first meet the Peddler when he appears in the flashback, but it’ll be revealed that he is the Author at some point. Maybe as early as the end of this episode. This is like when Pan pretended to be a fugitive Lost Boy in his first episode, and he didn’t reveal his true identity until the end of the episode.

What I find interesting is that Young Emma, an Adoption agent and an Adoptive Father are credited. Are we going to get a glimpse at one of the many families that adopted Emma, but would later give her up? Perhaps the infamous Swan family?

Apparently Jared’s been very busy filming as of late.

Could this Season finale be Henry’s chance to shine?

Ratings: ‘POOR UNFORTUNATE SOUL’ – INITIAL RATINGS – Once Upon A Time earned a 1.8 (and 5.69 million viewers), staying steady from last week’s 1.8 adults 18-49 rating, only slightly down from last week’s 5.89 million viewers.

Even though the key demo stayed steady at 1.8 (which is still low compared to 4a), it’s actually not a good thing that overall viewership is falling. That means the General Audience (those older and younger than the key demo) are tuning out. And when the GA isn’t happy, it’s never “good news.”

True, but advertisers do not care about those outside the 18-49 demo. Those are the numbers the networks use to sell ad time, and those are the only numbers advertisers in turn care about. If they did, those CBS shows on Sundays with high total viewers, but low 18-49 demos would be considered hits. CBS happens to attract a lot of folks older than 49, but at the end of the day they are not who advertisers cater towards. That’s simple ratings 101. It’s harsh that people outside the 18-49 demo do not really matter, but that’s the way the network TV biz works. Not that I’m defending how far Once has dipped, but as someone who has learned to understand how ratings work, I can’t ignore basic ratings facts.

Once remains flat at a 1.8 demo rating and 5.69 million viewers. The only scripted show that technically beat it was Last Man on Earth at 9pm with a 1.9, but 1) That’s a half hour comedy. It’s 2nd episode at 9:30 actually scored a 1.6. It will be interesting to see what next week brings.

‘’Glorhaven?’’ Is that right? And where is that? EF? Where was the tavern?

That was a Little Mermaid reference. In the film, Eric tells his servant Grimsby “You’re not still sore because I didn’t fall for the princess of Glowerhaven?”

-The sea god Poseidon needs Ariel to cross worlds? I don’t find this believable. He must be a very weak god!

I don’t think Poseidon needed Ariel to travel between realms. Ariel simply went to look for him after Hook requested her to. Pretty sure Poseidon can still travel between realms on his own.
