Apparently the Peddler and the Apprentice filmed a scene today.
Yeah, the Peddler is definitely the Author or Sorcerer.

But there are 23 episodes – and Operation Mongoose part 1 is only episode 21, which means part 2 will be episode 22 – So there’ll be one more episode, and since Adam said the finale would be 2 hours wouldn’t that mean that episode 23 would be a prolonged episode like Shattered Sight.
Nope. Adam already confirmed that Smash the Mirror’s 2nd part is what accounted for the extra episode.
Interesting theory, and it would be intriguing if that were to happen. However, I think the title is more likely a reference to the whole “Thief with a Heart of Gold” trope, which applies to Robin Hood.
A bit disappointed she didn’t talk about Neal’s death.
Well the video was specifically on the incarnations of the Wicked Witch of the West. She wasn’t going to go into detail about the other Once Upon a Time characters, because that would take a long time to do so. Especially trying to cram in who Neal/Baelfire was, and his importance to the story. Besides, she made it clear in the video that she hasn’t seen the entire show before. As I said before, she was watching these episodes specifically to analyze the Wicked Witch.

Sounds like we’re definitely heading towards an AU centric finale. I imagine that of course things will be corrected by the end, though.
