ModeratorThe rumor about Colin wanting to leave the show to be in a UK show sounds like just what it is, a rumor. Besides, I thought Colin’s wife and kid actually moved to Vancouver?

ModeratorWell, technically in OUATWL, Anastasia (sister to Cinderella and Red Queen) getting married to a poor person (Will Scarlet) despite the wishes of Lady Tremaine came from Cinderella 2. So that may count.
Wonderland also had Silvermist from the Tinker Bell direct to video movies. Not a sequel, but still a direct to video character no less.

ModeratorI think the closest selfish thing that Rumple did prior that had nothing to do with Neal or Belle was stealing the egg from Emma and bringing magic into Storybrooke. He only brought magic into town because he’s still a coward who relies on magic as a crutch, but it actually caused a further roadblock in the search for his son. People being unable to leave town without losing their memories was the price for bringing magic into Storybrooke, as Rumple himself said. Oh, and he risked Henry’s life in the process by stealing the egg from Emma.

ModeratorAccurate picture to sum up the 2nd half of the Season

ModeratorYeah…I guess dead isn’t really dead for some characters. Seems like villains have all the luck.
Yep, though to be honest, Mal was only “dead” because Kristin was still too busy working on True Blood to commit to any long term OUAT work at the time. Now that True Blood is over, it makes sense that they would get her back. A character as iconic as Maleficent deserves a bigger arc, anyway. Especially when there is so much history with her and Aurora that we have yet to see. The two characters haven’t even shared screen time together before.
I also agree with the earlier statement that Ursula being in town hopefully means getting to see more Ariel.

ModeratorYeah, Emma slew Maleficent in her dragon form in 1×22. But apparently, there is some sort of powerful spell which regenerates the ashes of Mal to make her into Zombie Mal. So it might be we only see Mal in flashbacks. But I’ve my own theory that if Regina successfully rewrites the storybook to give the villains their happy endings, then it will mean Mal never died at the hands of Emma, meaning she’s alive in present-day SB.
Well this part:
The duo will be teamed up with the returning Kristin Bauer van Straten, who will reprise her role as Maleficent in the latter half of the season.
points to Maleficent being alive again in the present.

ModeratorThere has been some discussion of choice and agency in regards to Emma and Rumple but if you listen closely Rumple is manipulating Emma’s choice.
This is the basic breakdown once Emma asks “what would you do?”
Rumple: I am a man who does WRONG things so I WOULD NOT go into that room.
Wrong Choice = Not Going Into Room
Rumple: You, Emma Swan, are a hero who always does the RIGHT thing, which is not what I would do.
Right Choice = Going Into the Room
Rumple: You don’t need to change who you are, the person who does right things. Don’t be like me!
Rumple is giving her the allusion of choice but really he’s telling her that in order to do the heroic good thing, she must go into that room or risk being a villain who makes bad choices.
This! Rumple is the master of manipulating people. Rumple’s not lying in that scene, but he’s twisting the truth to fit his agenda. As Adam and Eddy have stated, Rumple is the devil himself.
