You know, I’ve been thinking that David’s state reminded me of how Snow looked like when Grumpy found her after she drank the potion … I know the whole thing already happened years ago in FTL, but could it be an after-effect? 😐

I just want to add a tidbit that Eddy Kitsis mentioned in an interview (a few days ago.) He said to pay close attention to the Lemurs at the beginning of the episode. I searched Wikipedia and found a very interesting article. Most interesting is the varient of August’s name included within. Something about wandering/vengeful spirits.

That reference to lemures being restless spirits is fascinating! It’s even more interesting that St. Augustine described them as evil manes who torment the living. Could August be the ghost of Rumple’s son or some other departed soul haunting Regina? What I paid attention to was August’s reference to their eyes that reflect light so they appear to glow at night. The reference to Nepal is also very interesting, which is where a lot of spiritual monks live.August could be the Regina’s love that was lost!! If he’s a lost vengeful spirit. We don’t yet know how she really lost her love. Maybe he’s either trying to help people change their lives and thus breaking the curse to take “revenge” on Regina or doing it to help Regina get back her heart, to fill the void that’s been created by the curse.
Red says that the paws turn into boots. What I thought was funny, is that although she’s so good at tracking, she doesn’t recognize the profile as her own …

I also had to think of Remus Lupin from HP when you wrote about lupus!I think we can be pretty sure the werewolf thing is somehow active in SB. When Emma and Ruby are looking for David, Ruby says “I hear hammer.” That clearly indicates that she actually hears David’s heart!
In one point Regina was right, though. Emma should have read David his rights and blabla. That was really unprofessional of her (then again, she’s not a trained police officer). I mean, it’s obvious that Emma wouldn’t take advantage of it, but still legally not right.
August is the guy who talks to Ruby in the beginning of the episode. August W. (Wayne or Wain or sth) Booth a.k.a. The Stranger. Nobody really knows yet who he is. He’s a writer though.
I thought Granny said Liza. The way the line went (can’t remember exactly), it seemed an allusion to Liza Minelli. But, as they don’t know much about the “real” world, maybe they wouldn’t know her?
Also, I heard Lucas and not Lupus, but I might be wrong. Definitely like the Lupus better!I should star posting AFTER I listen to the podcast … xD Didn’t think of the glowing thing.
I too think, that Regina’s trying to set up MM, but I also think the heart’s not Kathryn’s. Don’t know, it just seems too plausible, if you know what I mean. 😐 Maybe it’s Frederick’s and that’s why he has’t appeared again? 😉
