The fairies “final preparations” of The Stranger are still one of my big questions and I’ve thought that Blue could have magically written the final moments before the Curse. If Blue was holding the book right when the Curse hit, maybe it came with her to SB.
That’s the most plausible thing I’ve heard so far and I too question those “final preparations.” Seriously when are the Blue Fairy’s flashbacks going to be relevant to the present-day storyline so we can finally learn the answers??

MysteryKat25ParticipantI feel like every time we come up with a logical answer, something rules it out. Bah Humbug!
There’s still no way that anybody would have known about Emma going through the wardrobe unless Blue wrote it at the very last minute but how would that book have been brought over? (Granted why were any items that might remind anybody other than Regina of home brought over in the first place? Did Rumple have something to do with it, where his treasures would come through at least? And again, why the book?)
You would seriously think that with all the emphasis of Henry and his book from season 1 – especially the fact that the book helped MM wake up David, that Snow would have said SOMETHING about the book once the curse was broken. What gives Snow, what gives?

MysteryKat25ParticipantJust thought of one little issue: the book showed the name Emma on the baby blanket…Regina didn’t know for sure that Emma was Snowing’s daughter though she put the pieces together later on.
She would have been WAY more suspicious if she knew that a date 28 years in the future a woman named Emma would show up and BAM there’s an Emma. I’m not sure she was really all that suspicious of the idea until Emma said it was her birthday and even then Regina’s been in a funky time loop for so long and was so sure she had already won that I’m not sure she was really worried about that date on the calendar some day anyways.

MysteryKat25ParticipantLove that Obisgirl! Glad we have something to back us up!

MysteryKat25ParticipantI saw a miniature version of one of the pictures of JMO & SS and I almost didn’t recognize him! For a moment I panicked thinking they had broken up and she was with someone else and then I found the other ones. His hair is so different! Loving JMO’s “Mad Swan” hairdo though (I don’t know how better to describe that!)
Not sure this is the best look for these four…but the couples themselves are definitely adorable! I loved that MRJ interview the other day where it was mentioned.

MysteryKat25ParticipantInteresting ideas about Jefferson! One question though…when he arrives in SB with his memories intact and confined to his house…how does he know the parts for the end of the book either?
We still don’t know if he was still in Wonderland or if/when/how he got back to FTL before being transported to SB, but how would he have access to what happened in the final moments leading up to the curse? (I think that’s a sticking point for any theory sadly as there just wasn’t time to write anything before Emma was taken away and we saw the curse being enacted immediately after so how would Blue have even done as part of her final preparations?
I guess I see where the Henry from the future theory comes into play, I’m just trying to fix all the paradoxes and it’s making my head spin. Nobody seems to have had their memories AND have prior knowledge of the moments leading to the enacting of the curse. Nobody fits all the criteria, ahh!
Maybe somebody with magic, like Blue, was able to enchant a quill and have IT write the book? And it ends when the magic ends aka the curse is enacted? But why would it have gotten transported along with everything else?
It was not in Emma’s baby blanket. It was not on Pinocchio. I don’t think the wardrobe could have sent it through after the fact and even then, it would be stuck in the forest OUTSIDE of SB so again…how does it get there if written before?
Which circles back to Jefferson. I don’t think Regina did it because she seemed surprised to learn such a book existed and she was flipping through it like crazy and wanted to know what was in the last pages. Jefferson’s the only one who had his memories but again he was stuck and shouldn’t have knowledge of what happened right before unless part of his curse from Regina was to make him all knowing so everything would hurt him more but that doesn’t make sense either.
AHH! They better have a good explanation for the book someday.

MysteryKat25ParticipantHmm interesting idea. Jefferson would also be one of the only ones to know who he is the whole time…the only pesky detail there is how did he get the book to MM because he couldn’t leave his house until Emma showed up in town and Henry had the book for (I think a month) before that.
The part that really bugs me though is why hasn’t Snow said anything about the book since the curse broke? She has to know where she got it right?
She told us back in the pilot why she gave it to him, but she hasn’t said a peep since the curse broke and he’s had his book out lots of times, including to tell us that Dr. Frankenstein wasn’t in it. You would think she would have said something then, even if only to speculate as to WHY he wasn’t in the book. Something like “oh well that would make sense because so and so only knew of our world.”
Wonderland being in the book makes sense just because so many characters have crossed over with it – Cora becoming the Queen of Hearts, Jefferson being a realm jumper who was used by the Evil Queen etc. etc. The interest part to note is that for as many times as we’ve seen Henry look through the book, we still don’t know exactly what was in there and what was left out. He hasn’t always been able to easily identify everybody, even back when he was first sure that everybody in town was somebody. He’s still putting the pieces together himself just like the rest of them.

MysteryKat25ParticipantHe’s a couple hundred years old and apparently jumped a lot of time in that vortex going from EF to Victorian London and I think time is linear for him after that (although it’ll feel like he’s been in Neverland for longer than real world time so maybe in a way it all evens out for him).
He could have changed his name many times between 1907 (was that the year he landed? I can’t remember) and now. He should have showed back up to our world around I think 1991 and he could have changed it a few times since then for sure, though his present name has nods back to Peter Pan. Granted as a thief he may have changed it a couple times in between to try not to get caught, but I don’t see him as the slickest of con-men who can remember which lie they’re telling every moment of every day to change it up constantly either, though he could have changed it every once in awhile for something new. Neal Cassidy he may be, Neal Caffrey he is not – recently became obsessed with White Collar so hopefully some of you get/enjoy the reference 😉

MysteryKat25ParticipantAgreed on all counts Moraha!
INTERVIEW IS UP!!!
https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=92&t=3931&p=59135#p59135
OK, so it’s gotta be the first of many and there weren’t any specific Captain Stuff – boo, silly interviewer, don’t stop on asking if he’ll interact with SB people, ASK ABOUT EMMA! But it does sound intriguing and like there will be lots of good stuff with him and Bae. He was definitely being coy about how that will play out but it certainly sounds like we should be “surprised” about how he and a child get along which leads me to believe that he’s going off the people think he’s a villain thing and we should be surprised with how well they get on.
I totally agree that Henry would enjoy Hook being around, especially since it looks like Hook taught Bae everything he knows! That could be a really good way to bond with him and of course bonding with him would help Hook bond with Emma too!
(I don’t see it as him using Henry to get to Emma and wouldn’t want him to, just saying that he has a history around a young Bae which would be a nice parallel to bonding with Henry someday – you know, when Storybrooke isn’t trying to crash around them or when Henry isn't being kidnapped – seriously how awesome would Hook be in trying to help them get him back? Bring on Charming & Hook tag-teaming swordfighting in Neverland (at least, that's how I picture it going down – Charming's swordfight from the pilot was epic and I want that side of him back pronto – I always want Charming & Hook to get along after the initial Charming-punches-Hook thing (he usually gets it out of his system after one punch and I could see Hook pulling a Captain Jack Sparrow with “I deserved that” and then moving on to whatever he's there for.
The first interview is giving me hope for good quality HOOK moments….now I want some CaptainSwan stuff please! (Also if I keep asking for things and they happen, I would like a million dollars put into my bank account please and thank you).

MysteryKat25ParticipantFinally some Hook-centric interviews! (MRJ’s were great last week, both actors are awesome and obviously love their characters but I’ve been waiting for Colin interviews for what seems like forever).
I was hoping for a bit of a S3 tease as well…and maybe some more info about that interaction in present day SB characters stuff *cough* Emma *cough* but it was still a great interview and I can’t wait to see the other (but not so “cuddly” rofl) side of Hook that I saw snippets of way back in Tallahassee.
I’ve said it before but I really feel like he’s a little bit Westley / Dread Pirate Roberts and a little bit Captain Jack Sparrow and it’s time we saw the Killian side of things too. He has goodness in him and I think the relationship with Bae will be an intriguing one because he couldn’t hurt the shawl that Milah made. I can see him being torn, with Bae being the son of the man that he hates, but he’s also the son of the woman that Hook loves and he may be able to find more of Milah in him than Rumple and they can get along at least for a time. Sounds like he might learn who Bae is pretty quick which will set all of that up and I can’t wait to see where they go with it. He’s absolutely right that H&K turn things on their heads so I’ve never been expecting him to be as bad of a “villain” as the promo department seemed to believe at the beginning of the season. I’m sure H&K were probably sick watching it since it made him out to be worse than Rumple and one of the biggest villains of all time (silly promo people) when he hasn’t been written that way at all. (They did get the “charming swashbuckler” part right though, at least in my opinion, but that’s about it).
I loved what he said about the “deeper layer” because all of the characters on the show have it and we haven’t gotten to see much of it from Hook yet. Some of us see it, but I get why others justify that under those circumstances it wasn’t genuine. It’s time we got some REAL Hook moments (as in, not under the watchful eye of Cora *grr*) and see that other side of him.
Can’t wait to see what else Colin has to say on the interview circuit this week! Should be great! 🙂
