Perhaps both could be true. Maybe his mother is royalty who ran off with a pirate (can’t say I’d blame her other than not liking Davey Jones but if Killian got his charm from Davey then so be it!)
There’s definitely a reason we got a last name so there has to be a connection to Davey Jones – otherwise it’s silly to name him that even though Jones is a common last name.
Also interesting ideas about the connection to the wraith. NL is starting to sound like a prison for lost souls. A little darker than I was expecting but maybe it didn’t stay that way for too long or somebody figures out a way to correct it / free them. Perhaps we’ll get a scene showing MAP and having Phillip wake up after something that happens in NL, like Bae taking on the shadow and freeing everyone but then he choose to stay there until Rumple visits someday to find the squid ink and then he decides that NL isn't safe anymore. I could totally see a father-son relationship like Hook and Jack in “Hook” where, at least for a little bit, having a father figure who is attentive and actually listens is around for so long he almost starts to forget how awful life seemed before and then Rumple shows up, reminding him who he really is only it's not a pleasant thought to him so he flees to our world and Hook helps him hide from Rumple, hence the line later on about him not wanting to be found!

MysteryKat25ParticipantI think we’ll definitely get a backstory on Tamara. We kinda have to in order to understand what the heck her motivations are cause she’s not making a whole lot of sense.
Also as TGK pointed out, we’ve seen the picture of the grandmother. It’s significant, we just don’t know why yet.

Thanks! Yeah, I made them out of clay and paint from a craft store- quite proud of them! My mom thinks I should make more and sell them.
You totally should! I’m sure it would be a fun little hobby and there are so many RumBelle fans you are sure to sell a bunch! As long as it’s fun for you as well as profitable why not? Might give you something to focus on over the hiatus and stay in a RumBelle happy place at the same time!

MysteryKat25ParticipantCompletely understandable but it is a great movie! The really great Disney ones (other than the original classics) all came out when I was a kid and then fizzled for a few years. Tangled was the first one I actually wanted to see in a really long time and for being the 50th it was one of the best (and certainly one of the better ones in recent memory). Just go into it with a CaptainSwan viewpoint and you’ll be fine 😉 It really is a cute movie though and I love Flynn.
I agree wholeheartedly! I want to see Killian the man, not just Killian / Hook the pirate. It’s totally a facade but he has a softer side, it’s there just below the surface, I can see it! However to get anybody else to it needs to be pretty blatant so hopefully he can win over some fans by peeling back some of those layers!
I took a short nap a bit ago and dreamed of how I want part of the finale to go:
*Hook crashes the Charmings and tells them what GOAT is up to and offers to help; Charming punches him but hopefully after that it's out of his system, much like it was after he punched Dr. Whale
*Henry gets kidnapped
*Hook sees how upset Emma is and wants to know what’s really going on and pushes the issue (much like Snow often does) but he actually gets through to her (even if it’s in a yelling / bantering kinda way where she’s pushed to the point of just shouting out an answer then
*Emma will tell him about Neal (might get some of recollections starting with “I knew him as a boy” and getting him to open up to her)
*Hook reminds Emma that he understands how she feels and points to his tattoo again
*Hook comforts Emma and says that together they will get him back, offering the services of the Jolly Roger and even agreeing not to try to kill Rumple or Regina who are sworn to all the same promises
*While on the Jolly Roger, waiting to get to Neverland (at least that's the destination in my head thanks to the ep title), once the course is set (Hook insists on driving his own ship), Hook sits with Emma who is standing top deck while everyone else is below, staring at the water trying to figure out how they're gonna get Henry back
*Hook pulls her over to sit with him and puts his arm around her to comfort her – she is so wiped out she doesn't resist
*Hook tells her everything will be alright, “we'll get him back”
*Emma wants to know why he's doing all of this when he hates half the people on the boat and has no invested interest
*His invested interest is her
*He explains how he threw the swordfight so she could get back to her son
*He tells her he was planning on jumping in the portal with her & Snow had a certain blonde not knocked him out (causes her to grin sheepishly but he likes a girl that can fight so he's not too upset about it other than being stuck with bringing Cora along)
*Tells her that once he knew what the water was capable of he always had a backup plan with the bean but wanted to make sure Emma got back to Henry
*Shows a softer side and Emma asks about his past with the Lost Boys which was hinted at in Tallahassee – shown in this ep (nice transition)
*They continue staring out into the ocean and Emma starts yawning
*Hook keeps his arm tightly around her stroking her hair telling her everything will be alright and it's going to be a long journey so go ahead and get some rest, he'll keep an eye on everything
*Ends with her asking how long of a journey and him saying “it's just the second star on the right,”
*With Emma finishing it with “and straight on til morning? That part's actually true?” causing him to laugh and hold her closer as she falls asleep – likely with some scene-ruining moment of someone lurking in the shadows watching in disgust – probably RumpleIt was a great dream / bonding time for the two even as friends, nothing more than that at the moment but still potential for down the road and all softer side of Hook, tiny bit playful, mostly comforting as he can see what she’s going through and understands.

MysteryKat25ParticipantOh wow AngieBelle, those are beautiful! And you made them? *hats off to you*

MysteryKat25ParticipantCute!
In answer to your question not as of yet but I’m already planning ahead to next year’s birthday when I turn 28 so I can have cupcakes, a blue star candle (if I can find any) etc etc. OUAT-themed all the way!
Looking forward to seeing what others post in here about OUAT-related stuff they have / bought / made. The OUAT fandom is so creative I can’t wait to see what everybody comes up with!

MysteryKat25ParticipantOh that’s right, it was matches – I knew it was something with fire. Good point slurpeez about the not setting foot on land thing.
Which reminds me of the Davey Jones in POTC 2 & 3 – not being able to set foot on land but once every 10 years. Wonder if they’ll connect anything to that since Hook is named Killian Jones.
Either way the point about not setting foot there is definitely credible. I wonder how we’re going to explore Neverland though if he has to stay on Hook’s ship or in the water…some of it will likely have to wait til next year and even then not sure how if he can’t land anywhere.

MysteryKat25ParticipantI’m thinking we’ll at least see the head of the Home Office simply because I doubt it’s somebody that we’ve never heard of before. Whether that means it’s a character we’ve seen already or not, I’m sure they’ll be someone well known (though I would think it would have more of a jaw-dropping impact if they show us who it is and it’s somebody we recognize from the show then fade to black).
We need a chart or something about who hates magic, who loves magic, and who’s somewhere in between. I think Robin Hood loved magic because it made his bow never miss and then it saved Marian so if Tamara is their daughter that’s a far cry from where her parents were so there has to be a big reason to hate it so much which means we should at least be getting that backstory, and we already known GregOwen’s deal since he was traumatized by Regina as a child and then left all alone in the outside world with people thinking he was crazy for thinking there was a town there (as long as Henry doesn’t end up like him, and I think he’ll be ok since he was proven right at a young age and is surrounded by good people who love him, he won’t become like GregOwen resenting it all – though in the words of snow, the TNT at the well gave me pause).

Wendy was only there one night I thought, but she says it seemed longer to her. Bae slept by the window and she came back in the morning.
I don’t think Wendy was deceitful–she did break a promise of course, not to go with the Shadow in the first place, but I think when it brought her back, she was truthful about what happened. So that still leaves us with why it didn’t want to keep her there.
This makes me rethink the “Rumpel had something to do with the Shadow to search for Bae” theory or the “Shadow is looking for its owner” theory. In PP, Peter goes searching for his shadow so if they are flipping it around, it could make sense the shadow, whether or not Rumpel put it up to that, is looking for Bae.
That though leaves me with this question–why did Bae fall in the water? Did he force the shadow to let him go? Because if he was its target, for those 2 theories above, then something else might have happened like they merged or it took him to a portal . So I think there’s now something else going on there unless Bae escaped actively. All good questions. If I’m remembering correctly he pulled a lighter or something out of his pocket which scared the shadow, forcing it to let go of him and he fell a very long way into the water where he was rescued by Hook and Smee. So he was actively trying to get away from it.
I like the idea of the reverse Peter Pan – where the shadow is trying to get its owner back instead of the owner trying to get Wendy to sew it back on to him.
It’s still a weird twist in that the shadow didn’t want Wendy, especially if it is in fact Bae’s shadow that has been searching for him for awhile and apparently been visiting Wendy overtime because she knew what it was. Hmm, more things to ponder I guess. I like the idea though!

MysteryKat25ParticipantJasmine love that video you posted! Possibly one of my new faves! (I’ve always loved the comparisons between CaptainSwan & Tangled…now Emma just needs a frying pan…and a small lizard!)
