ParticipantI love Josh as Prince Charming but David is really horrible. He can’t do anything right. He gives Mary Margaret the wrong card, doesn’t tell Katherine the truth ๐ there’s no reason to root for David.
but I read on another OUAT forum, David isn’t supposed to be like Charming. He’s supposed to be the exact opposite of him, so really, you’re not supposed to like him.

It is possible that Charming’s father may be someone important though. There could be an interesting back story. I wonder what they are going to do with the flashbacks next season. I still think they are going to end this season around the time that Snow eats the apple and is asleep in the coffin so maybe they will go a bit past that. There is still a lot of story there though so they could always go into the past and show Charming’s back story as a child. I think that they should make him the first James who switched with the James who switched with the James who died as a child and then when the other James died, Rumpel came to get Charming to take his place. Complicated, but interesting.
I also wonder if young Snow ever met young James as a child. Either the other prince James or our prince Charming. That seems possible.
there’s mention of too many ‘James’ in that one paragraph. ๐ฏ it boggles the mind. ๐
I think it would be sweet if little Shepherd James met lit’le Snow White. it would be so cute!

I’ve actually read a bit of the belle and rumplestiltskin fanfiction out there. I don’t think it’ll just be Mr.Gold finding out about Belle and rescueing her or using the “please” card on Regina. Then taking Belle to his home. It is going to be epic. They’re probably going to blow our minds away and do something completely unexpected.
i will be disappointed now if Belle’s reunion/rescue isn’t epic. I’ve read a lot of gold/belle fanfiction too; every time after I read, I think, god, I hope it’s like this on the show.
there’s so many different ways it could go. belle may not remember. that would be a big twist – I think – because Gold would have to pretend around her.

My initial thought is that Regina will use the existence of Belle as a tool, a shield if you will. So there will be some kind of conflict, and Regina will pull the old, back off or Belle get’s hurt routine.
that would be typical Regina but i really hope Belle doesn’t become a pawn. that poor girl have been through so much already.

I’ll go for that: black silk pj’s with a Hugo Boss tie. A man whose house gets robbed as often as Gold’s does needs to look his best at night.., just in case.
๐ ๐ yeah, because the robber could be belle ๐ฏ ๐
and he’d be like, “Hey baby…” ๐ ๐

But, Rumple/Gold could also end up the evil/villian, horrible mass murderer of babies and children on the series and I would probably still love him because he’s Robert Carlyle!!
I don’t want to believe that Rumple hurts babies and children ๐ฎ
I do think, he wants to find a way to break his own curse, but still be able to keep his power. Like maybe that was why he wanted the wand. Maybe he thought, if he could use the wand on himself and break the curse but still have magic through the wand.
But he can’t have both. I think, he’s going to realize, somewhere down the line what’s really important to him, his power or true love.

That is a valid question, though we’ll probably will never get an answer to that.
My first thought was that the curse somehow magically transported everything to the stores (magic can’t make food, only transform it), but where would it come from? I doubt it would be just stolen from somewhere โฆ
Maybe โ based on the theory of FTL being under Storybrooke โ the ingredients and metal, etc are all taken from FTL, transformed to modern products and placed into the shops or whoever is in charge of delivery. ๐I had a theory awhile back that the curse is a ‘living’ curse; like why Maine? Why did they happen to end up in Maine? Maybe, if there’s no supply trucks that come in and out of Storybrooke, then everything (food in Granny’s diner, stuff in Mr. Clarke’s store) are things manufactured by the curse. Which would mean, that would never run out of supplies because the curse would constantly be restocking everything.

A couple of things that bother me about this episode:
*Even if he is sick and highly distracted, shouldn’t the sheriff do a wee bit more investigating when he comes upon the most feared man in town, alone in the forest in a leather apron and carrying a shovel? Especially when that shovel-carrying man gives such a lame explanation as “a bit of gardening”?
I recently rewatched this episode and was struck by the same thing. I thought it was a measure of just how distracted Graham was, that he didn’t even ask a follow-up question to the entirely implausible explanation. I also thought it was testament to Gold’s ability to half-hypnotize people into not questioning what he is doing. Graham never seemed terribly intimidated by Gold (he had no call to be, I guess). But you’re absolutely right — Gold in the woods with a shovel is nearly as sinister as Gold at the hardware store on Valentine’s day buying rope and duct tape!
I really, really hope this revisited in another episode. I’m starting to think now that maybe Gold was digging up the Zoso dagger, but I don’t know, maybe he was looking for something else.
To be fair to Graham, what Gold was doing in the woods, wasn’t a top priority. He was trying to figure out what those weird dreams were about. ๐ It’s just so sad once he figured it all out, it meant that he was going to die.

ParticipantI actually wrote a very long blog post about the significance of wolves on OUAT.
There’s a very long wikipedia entry about the significance of wolves in different cultures. Many cultures revere them, or vice versa, fear them. If you extend that even either, wolves can represent the human struggle within man = good vs. evil.
They can be good (like Graham’s wolf) or evil, killers.

ParticipantIn the last Belle/Mr. Gold fanfic I wrote, he sleeps in black silk pajamas ๐

Participantthat is interesting. but I get the feeling, Gold desperately wants the curse broken. I don’t think he’s going to sacrifice Belle’s freedom to get rid of Emma.
I hope Regina doesn’t pull something like that. that would make me ๐ฟ hate her even more.
