ParticipantIn what world would Snow ever agree to murder her husband, even in a desperate attempt to save her unborn baby?
Speaking of that, it was pretty irresponsible of Snow to risk not only her life, but also the life of her unborn child. Like, I get that she had supreme faith, and that’s great, but that WAS NOT a guarantee that it would work. If it turned out Snow couldn’t actually survive with only half a heart in her chest, that wasn’t just her own life she was gambling with, it was also the baby’s. Just another element to add to how OOC this whole mess was for Snow.

ParticipantIt may just be the green melting off her, as opposed to her whole body melting. Her facial features still seem properly formed, just looks like the green is falling away. Sort of similar to what happened to Rumple when Belle kissed him. So if Rumple could reverse that effect in order to keep his magic, Zelena probably can too.

ParticipantAm I still upset with the Dead is Dead comment made by Adam & Eddy regarding Neal’s death yes because of the scene of using David’s heart to cast the curse and then splitting Snow’s heart in two in order to bring back David.
The way I see it if Adam & Eddy and their team of writers can come up with that kind of an unbelievable loophole to allow Charming to live then it seems to me that They can come up with something just as unbelievable to bring back Neal.
It’s either selectively offensive storytelling, or it’s foreshadowing that Neal too can be brought back because TL can overcome even death. If it’s the latter, then this ep will annoy me less in hindsight, but right now everything about Snowing casting the Curse just makes me wanna flip tables because the whole thing is so absurd.

ParticipantI’ve mentioned my (rather extreme) dislikes in other threads specific to those topics, but things I did like…
OQ banter in the flashbacks was lots of fun.
Emma telling Henry that “it’s more than just a book” was a lovely reversal of how HE had tried to get HER to believe that the book was more than it seemed.
A Regina/Henry TLK being the kiss to break this Curse. I’ve thought for a while that that would be the case.
Bobby Carlyle is fabulous at playing crazy.
Oh, one nitpick in my otherwise positive post, becase there hasn’t been another thread where I can say how ridiculous this is…they were trying to pass Snow off as being only 1 month (if that) pregnant in that first scene where she was dressed in red? Despite the closeup shot of Zelena’s hands on her substantially sized bump? Emma voice: Really?

ParticipantWhat makes this even more perplexing is that it came hot on the heels of an ep where we were reminded all about how Snow is a murderer.

ParticipantOne more thing I forgot the mention in my last post…they managed to construct a story that makes Snowing look like massive hypocrites, because they told Neal that they shouldn’t and couldn’t go back to Emma and Henry. And yes, I know that they changed their minds based on what Glinda told them, but that doesn’t change the fact that they told Neal, “Nope, no way, not gonna happen,” and then had them turn around and concede to cast the freaking Dark Curse in order to get back to Emma.

ParticipantRumple’s “circle of time” line definitely jumped out and reminded me of this Wheel of Time related theory.
Can they really leave Snowing walking around, sharing a heart for all time? Couldn’t that make them weaker as a team, if one of them dies, would the other die by default?
Are they really gonna leave Philora as Flying Monkeys for all time? Aurora hadn’t even had the baby yet, so if they stay monkeys, that baby never gets born, which is rather tragic. Were they potentially two of the monkeys that got shot? Were innocent SBers like Little John and missing Dwarves potentially among the monkeys that got shot? That would be pretty tragic.
They could resolve both the shared heart issue, and the monkified (and potentially killed) people issue by turning back time so those events never happened.

ParticipantSnow killing Charming is absurd. Charming volunteering to sacrifice himself, that I can believe, but Snow actually killing him was incredibly hard to believe. I know that people have said that the show has jumped the shark before, but I’ve never felt they were so close to that as I do with this ridiculousness. You can split a heart in two to revive someone who died by having their heart ripped out, now? Well, alrighty then.
And yes, what of it if one of them dies now, shouldn’t that mean that BOTH will die if they’re literally sharing a heart? I know, I know, love is strength, but this split heart thing seems like it should make them WEAKER, because two birds, one stone.

ParticipantIf Neal could have coherent, independent thought while still merged with Rumple that led to him separating from Rumple, writing a note all of his own accord, and then re-merge with Rumple before he died…why did what happened in the woods in SB happen? Why did Emma even need to be involved with separating them at all? Why could Rumple not have enough coherent, independent thought to be able to merely say Zelena’s name, if Neal could summon enough coherent, independent thought to know that he had to not drink the potion, and compose a note, and have a conversation with a dove? The writers have just contradicted themselves and bent their rules, and, just, *sigh*
On the plus side, Neal once again displays his ability to be selfless and heroic, like he’s done many times before, so at least that’s consistent.

ParticipantRumplestiltskin: Round and round the circle of time, racing towards the finish line.
Harkens back to the series “Wheel of Time” in which a character’s life can be “baelfired” (his past can be changed). Hmmmmm.
Almost leaped out of my chair when he said that line!
I also feel like Neal using a bird to send a message to a loved one has been done on by a male Disney counterpart who was also in a dire circumstance. I’m just trying to remember who.
Dunno about any Disney males having done it, but it’s a VERY Snow thing to do. Generally speaking, when Snowing and SwanFire are compared, Snow = Neal, so his thing with the bird was a continuation of that.
