The show is feeling particularly parrallel-y (technical term) at the moment, with them seeming to set up present day representations of the traditional Oz characters and stuff, and I think it was Lana who said in an interview that Zelena is very much like S1 Regina at the moment, so I could definitely see them paralleling Regina’s desire to bring back Daniel with Zelena’s mission being to bring back a dead lover as well. It could work really well thematically if we’re seeing Regina finally moving on and loving again (like Daniel told her to) and we have Zelena stuck in the must-resurrect-lost-lover mindset as a means to show just how far Regina has come.
Perhaps Zelena is somehow aware of Regina’s failed attempts, so she’s gonna try a different approach, so as an added bonus to the resurrected lover, she also gets to rub it into little sister’s face that she succeeded where Regina had failed. Zelena has that chip on her shoulder about how Regina got everything, so it would be fitting for Zelena to be striving to one up Regina in some way.
So instead of just going after a magical heart, Zelena’s after the trifecta, she’s gonna get a heart (I currently think she wants Emma’s, because it’s the strongest heart ever, but she’ll have to find a way to manipulate Emma into wilfully giving it up, because it can’t be taken), she’s gonna somehow impart all of Rumple’s wisdom to her man, (maybe she plans to make him the next DO?), and she’s gonna do the same with Charming’s courage, so she’ll end up with the smartest, bravest, most lovey lover man there ever was.
And she wants the Snowflake so she and her zombie lover can run off and be a happy little family unit.
As to who her “True Love” is specifically, I’m thinking it’s the Tin Woodman; since he will be appearing in what appears to be Zelena’s centric episode (“It’s Not Easy Being Green”), but there has been no mention of him previously, I have a feeling he has/had some significance to her in the past, but that something bad happened to him, leading Zelena on a mission to resurrect him…

My crack theory is she does want to resurrect her child she was separated from, Graham!
I do think Graham is kinda sorta involved, but I think he was their original plan for who was gonna be her lost lover. In the book, it was the Witch of the East who enchanted an axe which caused the Woodman to lop off all his body parts and eventually basically lose his humanity. Regina is essentially our Witch of the East, being the sister of the Witch of the West, and she took Graham’s heart which was basically robbing him of his humanity. Also it adds a little bit of extra spice to the vendetta if the guy Zelena wants to resurrect, she needs to resurrect because Regina’s the one who killed him. Also – Huntsman – Woodman – sort of a perfect fit.
If it turns out that IS what they had in mind for Graham’s role, then Eddy was correct in that interview, I will absolutely weep for what could have been. *sigh*
Yeah, I don’t think she actually completely took it away, I think she’ll just have the ability to use it now, by wielding the sword hilt. Just like Rumple still has his brain, he was able to realise that she wasn’t really concerned with appearances, he’s still capable of independent thought, but Zelena also has the ability to use his mind for her own means, because she has the Dagger. Perhaps if she goes to use Charming’s courage for some reason of her own, that’s when he’ll have a moment of cowardice, but the rest of the time, I think he’s still got his courage.
Was listening to another podcast just before where they were talking about Rumple representing the Scarecrow without his mind, and with the straw and everything, and they also mentioned how he’s been released similarly to how the Scarecrow was released from his stand in the field…by Dorothy…which made me think of our discussions about how Neal = Dorothy, and how I reckon Neal is the one who freed Rumple, and I had an arm flailing IT ALL ALL FITS TOGETHER SO PERFECTLY moment. If it turns out that Neal IS the one who freed Rumple, I’ll definitely take that as another hint towards him being the modern day representation of Dorothy.

Really excited to see Belle front and centre in 315. Sounds like it’s gonna be the start of some really great stuff for the character.
The scene where she meets Henry includes: him asking her for a drink, her discussing her superpower, her threatening to call the cops on him and him instead convincing her to go home with him…
That is awesome.
Plus there is my favorite line of maybe the whole thing – from Gold in the second episode – I think I need to make it my sig. He’s talking to Regina about seeing Emma with Henry, and says, “…I just seen her strolling down the main street with your boy. Thick as thieves, they looked.” RC draws out the “thick as theives,” emphisizes it just perfectly, and once you know the Emma/Neal story it is utterly BRILLIANT.

They way Alice and Will relate is how I hope Emma and Hook’s relationship develops going forward.
It’s how I’d hoped Emma and Hook’s relationship would have developed already. They could have been such a fun brotp, just like Will and Alice. They got the chemistry and balance just right with those two.

I’m also on board for a Rumbelle wedding. Zelena’s “Mrs Gold” line felt like foreshadowing.
But yeah. WL is now totally without a ruler.
Assuming Ana leaves, then yep. QoH is gone, RQ is gone, we haven’t heard of any other living monarchs, and I could see Ana handing the rule of WL over to Cylice.
I could see Will and Ana coming back to SB in the end. Whether or not they’d make further appearances, I dunno, but they certainly could in a believable way, considering Will knows Robin. And of course Ana knows Ella, but Ella’s not a regular, but I’d still love a scene where they see each other in SB and Ella’s all, “Wanna come meet your niece?”
I don’t really see Cylice shacked up in SB though, and considering it sounds like we’re gonna get a flashforward that shows their daughter, I doubt they’d show such a thing being set in SB, because then that gives away whether or not SB will survive way into the future. I reckon Cylice will end up as King and Queen in WL, which I guess could still allow for them to appear on the main show if they ever go back there again.
