As for not having the same pillows well that is easy to explain Eva is a Queen, and Cora isn’t. Also, if they are out of palace on their estate that could be that Cora couldn’t make gold out of straw anymore.
Hmm. Maybe. But Cora and Henry were still royalty. Henry was still the son of the King. They lived very well in an estate. Cora wouldn’t have dirty pillows and sheets in her estate.
Yeah, I find it hard to believe that Cora and Henry were ever destitute. They were still royals even if not King and Queen, and even if Henry got completely excommunicated, Cora would have magic’d them up some finery. Makes no sense to me that she would have lost any of her powers, including the straw spinning, at any point. Once she began to gain her powers, they’d have continued to grow. She was able to remove a heart in a very short space of time. No way that someone that powerful would ever go back to living in poverty when she’d sold her soul to be able to escape said poverty.

If you don’t like Neal then you don’t understand Baelfire at all or what he’s gone through. There is no way in hell he was going to retain his purity and innocence after all he has gone through and realized. It’s amazing he’s not in some hardcore therapy! Or hell for all we know he might be! But I just really cannot understand why people say he’s a jerk or he is selfish, etc, etc. If you can give me a good reason, other than ”He abandoned Emma!!111oeeennnnnn” I’ll hear you out and open a discussion. But I’m tired of the same overused excuse that has been refuted by Neal fans and especially by Adam and Eddy.

On the flipside, according to fans, we are supposed to blindly believe Hook is no longer Hook but Killian. He’s seen as justified for changing in a matter of MINUTES, becoming a pirate because his brother just died… And here Baelfire has been abandoned over and over again by people who claim to love him, and he’s done nothing but sacrifice himself to help these people… and had 300 years of being alone… I’m not a hook hater by any means, but just using this as an example… the same people who claim Neal does not equal Bae are the same ones who claim after 5 days Hook is no longer Hook but Killian…
The double standards are sometimes so blatant, it makes me want to weep.
I agree, it’s just not hard for me to see Neal as Bae. I feel like that’s why I love Neal so much. Because from the beginning of S1 I LOVED BAELFIRE, and for someone who has had a life such as he, he’s done pretty great. He hasn’t murdered anyone, he hasn’t committed attempted murder, and he continues to sacrifice himself for those around him WHEN HE GETS NOTHING in return. Absolutely nothing.
Poor guy is fate’s punching bag, for real. Someone with lesser strength of character would have been turned into a hideous person by what Bae went through, but Neal’s still got such a good, strong heart, despite it all.
But Rumple specified “First Born”…and it would really be retconny for them to go against that,
I feel that the other version, with WW being the younger sister, would be more ret-conny, because Regina has always come across as being an only child. If she suddenly had a younger sister, who she was even aware of existing, that would make her feel retroactively out of character to me.
I listened to a podcast last night that played a clip of that contract scene from Miller’s Daughter, and it struck me how Cora was reacting…
Cora: My firstborn child?
Rumpelstiltskin: She is quite important.
Cora: She?
Rumpelstiltskin: Yes, I see the future. Weren’t you listening? Anyway, I only get my payment if you live past tomorrow.
Cora: You can turn all this straw into gold by morning?
Listening to it again for the first time in a while, with the spoilers and speculation now in my brain, the way Cora was speaking, I could totally believe that for a moment she thought, “She? How does he know I already had a daughter?” then he went on about seeing the future and she went on to think, “Oh he doesn’t know, but he does think he knows everything, and he can help me, so I’ll play along and get what I can outta this guy.” Cora scamming Rumple like that by not revealing that she’d already had a first born wouldn’t feel like a retcon to me, it’d just feel like Cora being totally in character.

Yeah I’m confused at this too, we see here in a big showdown with Rumple’s dagger and now she’s just chilling at Regina’s house? Very odd
Perhaps the “gift” that was left on Regina’s doorstep is something that WW popped out of once she was inside the house, because it was the only way she could get in, (like a vampire, who can only cross a threshold if they’re invited, sorta thing).

He didn’t marry until later. We don’t know how much later exactly, but Eva was there as a potential wife for Henry, so she still had to go off and meet Leo some time after Cora and Henry’s engagement. Allow 9 months and then some for Cora to be without a child in Miller’s Daughter, and if Leo is the father of that baby in the pic, and it’s from her peasant days, Leo was with Cora at some point at least a year before he was looking for a wife. Which is entirely possible. I just hope that if they do that, they make it a one night stand where he didn’t even know her name, otherwise it’ll feel like a retcon because he didn’t appear to know her in Stable Boy.
Now Rumple by his own admission knows his farsight is imperfect, that said Rumple in the EF is incredibly arrogant as a result of the knowledge he gains from that ability. Pride goeth before a fall as the saying says. If the Wicked Witch is a child of Cora’s and more specifically an elder child then Regina’s tragedy is to have passed through the 9 levels of hell when by rights it should have been the elder sister’s fate.
While I see what you’re saying I also think that you’re neglecting what his foresight did tell him–it told him that Regina would cast the curse. Once you have that information, why bother going sussing out the details? You have what you need (Regina will cast the curse) and while Rumple did look for alternatives (the slippers for instance, or the bean long before that) the fact remains that he believed it was Regina. And if Cora tried (as it appears) to cover up a child from long before Rumple then he wouldn’t even bother going to look for that information because his foresight told him it was Regina.
Yeah, agreed. If it turns out that the prophecy was actually “Cora’s first born will cast the Curse” as opposed to “Regina will cast the Curse” (I personally think it was actually the latter), then it’s not really Rumple’s fault for not knowing that Cora had already had another kid. If extra blame should be assigned to anyone, it should be assigned to Cora who failed to mention, “Oh actually, I’ve already had a kid.”
Are you sure it’s peasant grab? It looks like sleeping dress kinda like Snow to me. Also if she is trying to hide the birth of this child I don’t think she would have her in they castle.
to me it is, but also the bed is fairly brown and dirty and looks rather homespun. It’s not the luxe quality I associate with royalty. Now it could be her Instagram filter or the lightening, what have you…but to me it looks like poor accommodations.

Cora’s pillow looks like it has a rough surface, something burlap-ish. And I think the fabric of her dress looks like a hard wearing, practical cotton kinda something. Queens wear silk nightgowns.Steve Walsh was the lead singer of the band “Kansas”. A&E get inspiration from music a lot of times. Maybe why they chose Dorothy to marry someone surnamed Walsh. His best known song is “Carry on My Wayward Son”, which reminds me of Neal. Since young Bae is suspected to be filming maybe there is a connection there.
Ah, back in the day I had a siggy banner with August in it, and the lyrics for Carry On My Wayward son. Definitely applies to Neal too. And could also apply to Walsh if he’s the son of Dorothy.

They’re gonna stick with their original intent for THEIR story, no matter how vocal the Chewbacca20s are, and it’s pretty good odds that when they created the characters of Emma and Nealfire, they intended for this to be THEIR love story. Just sayin’.What’s interesting is Regina just gave up her child for his best chance, the way that Snow did. So what’s interesting is we have a scene where they talk about it, and how they deal with it.

People seem all too quick to worry that the writers will be swayed by the influence of some vocal online fans. Hopefully this makes it clear that at the end of the day, they’re just gonna write their own story.
