What if Rapunzel was also Dorothy? Pushing it a bit maybe…
Actually you may not be. When the casting call came out for Rapunzel, a lot of us thought it might for Dorothy because it sounded like it fit her.
Yeah we did. That would be an interesting double whammy mashup if WWW = Gothel and Dorothy = Rapunzel.

I wanna say the dress is Rapunzel’s, based on Alexandra’s tweet a few days ago that her green screen work was “next week” and there’s a green screen in the background of the pic. And the butterflies might be fitting for a younger character, which she’s supposed to be. But that’s lily white skin showing through the netting.
Just got caught up on the last 10 pages of the thread, (you people have been busy) and I could have replied to so many posts, (seriously, I had a Notepad thing open with, like, 20 quotes cut and pasted into it), but my own comments would essentially be repeating what so many of you have already said, because PREACH, and basically, all that really needs to be said is this…

…I instantly got Never Tear Us Apart by INXS in my head. It’s not a grandiose song, doesn’t have a bunch of flowery lyrics, it’s just a basic, late 80s rock song, it’s a classic, it’s iconic, and henceforth it will always make me think of SF.

Neal’s on a mission. And I’m not going to bet against him.
It’s pretty amazing that he’s able to have so much hope in that moment. He did just watch his father (seemingly) die and vanish. But then, he also just watched the seemingly dead Blue get resurrected. I think he’s accepting now that he and Emma (and Henry) just can’t be kept apart for forever. The guy believes in fate, and for the longest time he thought his fate was to be alone. But then fate brought Emma back to him, even though he tried to stay away. And then they got ripped apart again over the portal, and still they ended up reunited again. The universe is seriously conspiring to make sure they always find their way back to each other. That is their true fate.
I’m not sure that he has a specific plan in mind yet. He didn’t know that Emma wouldn’t have her memories, because Regina doesn’t tell her that until after the moment with Hook, so perhaps he thought she’d be able to find them somehow. Or perhaps he just knows that he got out of FTL once recently to get back to her, when it seemed like there wouldn’t be a way, so what’s to say that that can’t happen again. He’s going back to the land where magic came from, so there has to be something that will help him, and he’s gonna figure it out if it’s the last thing he does.
All I know for sure is that this ep was driving the idea of belief in a happy ending, and Neal has unwavering belief that he’s gonna see his family again, and I love it!
As far as the shared wardrobe I’m not on board with the sister idea, I get the sense Regina was an only child. Now auntie or cousin is the direction I’m leaning in.
If WWW came to FTL post-Curse, and shacked up in Regina’s old castle, there’s no way she’d let that fabulous wardrobe go to waste.
I do think there could be a familial connection of some sort though, (Henry’s meant to get two more family tree members before season’s end). I posted something a week or so ago about how maybe Cora had a sister who managed to get away from the mill, and perhaps being susceptible to magic is a trait with the women in that family.
But then, I also like the idea that the Black Fairy is WWW, and that flies in the face of her being related to Regina in any way.
Also, the thing contrast between Elphaba and Cruella is simply lovely
For all who are not familiar with Wicked: there is a difference between animals and Animals. Lower case is just a normal animal. Uppercase signifies a talking Animal. The cowardly Lion is a Lion, not a lion. Elphaba was very serious about the opression of Animals in Oz and tried to aid them.
Nice tie in. I forgot that portion of the novel. And there is a talking cricket in SB, two (sorta) wolves, and a mermaid.
Maybe she got wind of what happened to Gus Gus and now she’s gonna wreak havoc on the whole town in his name. 😛 Seriously though, it IS an interesting point that there are part animal/part humans in SB. Hey, if it means we get some more Ariel, I’m all for them using that Elphaba trait.
OK, so I was trying to think through the logic of what happened with the stabbing, and ended up with a couple of questions.
Rumple got the Dagger back, then his shadow reattached, so he became whole again.
Rumple stabbed Pan.
Black smoke, like when the Shadow was burned up, and Pan changed into Malcolm, so I guess that was the magical Dagger being able to deactivate Pan’s powers, leaving him mortal?
Rumple twists the knife, increasing the wound, killing Malcolm’s mortal body, and the magical lights which make them vanish start bursting forth.
Typically, when the Dagger kills someone, it transfers the DO curse to the stabber from the stabee, but in this case, the stabber was already the DO. So did the DO curse essentially get confused, because the Dagger had killed someone, but there was no new host for the curse, so instead it just fizzled out?
If so, does that mean that it was just the DO curse that “died”, but Rumple’s mortal body remained alive?
If so, does that mean that just his mortal, but still alive body, got transported somewhere?
The other Curse we saw being undone in this ep had the effect of people returning from whence they came, because they didn’t belong where they were.
So if the same is true for the DO curse being undone, is Rumple’s now mortal body back in FTL as well?
Maybe?
Colin and Rose have such great on screen chemistry, their flashback scene was smokin’. Still dunno if I’m convinced that this ship could sail, but what I do know for sure is it’d be a shame if that chemistry went to waste.
I’m confident they’ll be reunited. It was a massive sacrifice that Regina had to make, but I’m sure that as part of her redemption arc, they’ll find a way to bring them back together.
Alright after having a night to sleep on it I’m still upset but I know that Rumple really isn’t dead. That would be suicide for the show and it’s supposed to be about happy endings – him saying “villains don’t get happy endings” should be a clue/foreshadowing that he’s not really dead, because this show is about proving the exact opposite of that. And how can there be a happy ending for Belle if her true love is dead?
and this is why I agree that there could be a way for Belle to rescue him from whatever fate he’s in (assuming he isn’t dead) because HE IS NOT A VILLIAN
Once someone forsakes their own life in order to save the lives of others, I’d say it’s safe to officially de-classify them as a villain from here on in. So if he’s no longer really a villain, then even if it were true that villains don’t get happy endings, it wouldn’t apply to him.
