ParticipantI found it very curious that Snow said she was doing something she’d done a thousand times before, only this time, the Book was there. I dunno who it could have been planted by. If objects adapted and updated as part of the Curse sustaining itself, then I guess it’s possible that the Book just appeared?

ParticipantBlack Fairy is Blue’s Sneaky alter ego
Dunno what if anything this could mean, but Blue’s wand and the BlackFairy’s wand are pretty much identical in design, apart from colour. Tink’s is also almost identical, apart from colour. So I wonder if all of those wands are linked and/or come from the same place? If the black wand belonged to WWW, they could do a mashup of Blue with Glinda, and say that there are 4 wands that look the same, that came from Oz. That doesn’t account for why Tink would have one of said wands of course, but hers IS green, which is a colour associated with Oz.

any idea on what she is holding here?
No idea, but she’s saying, “That’s not possible,” as she’s looking at it.
Anyone else notice the animal skin rug on the Witch’s floor? I have a new crack theory that they are doing a mashup of both the Wicked Witch of the West and Cruella DeVille.
And it’s a black and white animal too, like a dalmation. I can’t really see how Cruella could be a big enough character to get her own story arc on this particular show, so could definitely see them doing a mashup.

ParticipantI thought there were some interesting potential SF/Snowing parallels. Remember what Charming said to Snow. “The future we imagined is gone, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find another one, an unexpected one.” Emma and Neal dreamt of a future together, yet it didn’t turn out like the thought. But that doesn’t mean they can’t find another one, together.
Oh I loved that line, and it absolutely made me think of SF!
Though Emma did not verbally reply to Neal after he said, “This isn’t the end. I will see you again,” Emma did initiate a strong bear hug with Neal. That’s something. I noticed her face was trying not to give away too much emotion, probably because she was fighting back her feelings. In her head, Emma was probably internally screaming, “I can’t believe it’s happening again! I’m losing him for a third time. This is what I meant when I said it’d be easier if I didn’t have to face this pain again. Don’t show emotion. Walls up!” Yet, I think RG is right that is when Emma made a beeline for the bug, because she was fighting back the tears already.
Yes, it’s her worst fear coming true. Urgh, I my heart just breaks for her!
While I think CS is headed our way, big time, I’ll just chalk it up to Emma being cursed.
Maybe I’m just being naive, but I’m really not convinced that they’re actually gonna end up being an actual relationship. I mean, if they’re gonna end up back in SB, then Emma has to remember, right? Whether it’s the potion, or seeing the dreamcatcher, Hook WILL get Emma to remember somehow. And it may well happen in 312, because that shot in the promo can only be from 312 or 313, because it’s all they’ve shot, and as far as we know, they were only shooting NYC stuff for 312. So, Hook’s gonna spend time around her and Henry, observing how they get along with fake memories and no Neal, and then he’ll likely also be there when they both remember, and Neal is gonna be one of the first things that both of them remember, and then it’s gonna smack Hook in the face that not only does Neal love Emma, but she loves him right back, (he’s been cocky thus far because he doesn’t think Emma would want Neal back), and though he’s made a comment about “doing it for the boy”, he’s gonna be smacked in the face by exactly how much Henry’s dad means to him. Hook’s gonna witness that single parent family, which he didn’t get to see that other time, because Milah left with him, and he never saw what the single parent family left behind was like. But this time he can’t ignore it, can’t ignore the emotions involved for everyone, can’t ignore how his actions would affect them all if he insists of pursuing Emma. And if he’s been hanging out with Neal for a year, he’s probably got a new perspective on just how much Emma means to him as well. It seem that Emma, Hook and Henry, are gonna drive back to SB, and you know what I’d love, a scene where Henry’s fallen asleep in the back seat, and Emma tells Hook the story of where the Bug comes from, and when he realises that and how she kept it because of her love for Neal, that could impact him too. I dunno, like I said, maybe I’m being naive. but they’ve shown him try with the kiss at the door, and seemingly admit defeat, and he’s gonna be helping Emma and Henry to remember Neal, and how can that NOT affect him? And maybe I’m also naive to hope for that sort of character development from Hook so soon, but it just seems like a great situation where he ends up getting a reality check, and he LEGITIMATELY backs off after the NYC stuff.
How do you Emma will be impacted by believing she kept Henry his entire life? For the better? Someone on here brought up Grumpy and how he’d rather remember the good and the bad. Do you think that applies to Emma? Would she rather just live a normal life with Henry than never see her parents again or Neal again?
She seemed pretty well adjusted, so I’d say that keeping Henry made her more content with life, and it made the losses of her parents and Neal a bit easier to cope with. Of course, Henry being there is a constant reminder of Neal, so he must be on her mind from time to time, and I’m sure she has moments where she drifts back to that time and place where they were together. But despite the hurt she went through when he left, she still has Henry as a result of that relationship, and he means the world to her and gives her strength.
Again, Neal is putting Emma and Henry’s needs before his own. Of course this is tearing him up inside. He just lost his father and now the only other two people that he loves will be gone from him again. His happy ending is gone yet again but instead of breaking down and crying he puts on a brave face because that’s the kind of guy he is. He doesn’t want to put any more pressure on Emma and tho he loves her he doesn’t want her to be sad that she has to leave them all. He holds back his own emotion so that Emma can do what she needs to do without hesitation.
God, he just lost everyone all at once, didn’t he. Father, creepy grandfather, son, and the woman he loves, all in the space of a few moments. That poor bugger! Yet he managed to keep it together enough to put on a brave face for her, and for Henry. He’s so resilient and brave, I can’t even!!!

ParticipantIn a previous post I mentioned how Emma’s response to Hook at the town line was pretty weak and if they wanted to use that moment to highlight her having feelings for him, it would have been a perfect opportunity. Thinking about it some more, and considering that what Regina says immediately after was how Emma would lose her memories, if they actually wanted to show a sign of mutual love between Hook and Emma, this is how the scene should have played out…
Hook: There’s not a day will go by that I won’t think of you.
Emma: I’ll be thinking of you too.
Regina: Uh, sorry to interrupt, but Emma, there’s something I haven’t told you. When the Curse hits, you’ll lose your memories.
Emma: *longing glance at Hook* I’ll forget everyone? And how I feel about them?
Regina: I’m afraid so, it’s just the way the Curse works.
Emma: *embraces Hook* Find me again.Instead we got the complete opposite. Followed by a scene where his kiss had no magical effect on her. Maybe it’s my shipper goggles talking, but it seems to me like they’re trying to be pretty blatant about it NOT being a two way relationship with Emma and Hook. So I’m thinking it likely won’t develop into much more than what it already is. They had the perfect chance to progress that relationship if that was their plan, and instead they totally played it down.
just saw something on Tumblr which did upset me (I should know to be more careful but I was curious…). A former SF/Neal fan decided they hated Neal this episode because he didn’t react enough to his father’s death and just stood there. Hello? Are we even watching the same show!?!
Urgh, that’s ridiculous! I guess if people don’t give a crap enough about Neal to want to understand him, they won’t appreciate how he’d react in a situation like that.

ParticipantYeah I think Neal probably tells Hook about the dreamcatcher, because there’ll need to be some way to prove to her that Hook is who he says he is, and knows who he says he knows. GAH, now I’ve got this whole Neal dialogue playing out in my head and it’s making me emo again. “Tell her about the dreamcatcher. Tell her the story of how this one time, she and I snuck into a hotel room, just like we always did because we had no home, so had to scrape by and steal showers when and wherever we could, just like we had to steal food, and anything else we needed to survive. *pauses and smiles sadly at the memory* This one granola family had left a dreamcatcher in the room. Emma said it kept the bad dreams away, and I could do with some flypaper for nightmares, so I kept it. It’s hanging in the window of my apartment in NYC. Tell her that, take her there, and seeing it will prove to her that you know me.”

ParticipantThat all works for me, Jo.
Whoever is on that hospital gurney is a male because Dr. Whale asks, “Who did this to him?”
Robin may or may not be sheriff based on his jacket.Jury is out for me on Robin’s jacket. Would they have Regina hook up with the Sheriff all over again? Might feel like a bit of a re-hash?
First instinct is to say it’s Roland on the gurney, which is why Robin is there, but then why would Hook be there too?

ParticipantI wonder if Neal gave Hook instructions on how to get Emma to trust him by sending her over to his apartment to retrieve something.I think what ends up happening she sees their Dream catcher by chance (mirror how she found it the last time unexpectedly) which ultimately leads to her taking note for the first time that she doesn’t have the swan necklace on. Therefore buying what he has been trying to tell her. Potential for hopeful some Captain Fire development now thinking about it. Will Hook play up or downplay Neal to Emma given that cursed Emma’s last memory of Neal is believing he never loved her and set her up to go to Jail.
Really good question, it’ll be interesting to see what Hook does or doesn’t tell her about her actual, un-Cursed relationship with Neal.

His face in the first gif! Ugh. The feels. He’s holding back his tears and he is so sad and devastated but so proud!
I can’t handle that face! Just…GAH…he’s so proud but so sad and OMG IT HURTS! MRJ totally nailed the emotion of that moment.

ParticipantThat’s not the mayor’s desk it’s the conference table on the other side of the room.
Ah, so it is. Here’s a pic where you can see the desk that Emma’s at in the foreground. Regina’s desk is in the background.
One more observation at 6 sec into the promo in the background the unmistakable figure of Little John can be seen. The SB crowd will fall in with the Merry Men not long after getting back I’ll bet.
Guess we won’t be waiting long for Regina and Robin to meet then.
