I’d guess she was just off exploring, which would be in character for her. Was really hoping we’d get to see Ariel interacting with other mermaids, and that we’d meet her father.
Oh, and I’d also love to know why Hook hates mermaids so intensely. I was actually kinda surprised that the Captain’s quarters has carvings of mermaids decorating it. Was half expecting that maybe he had a mermaid incident at some point after Liam died, and maybe redecorated, but nope, the mermaids were still there when we saw the cabin again in present day.
Just rowing over to say congrats (is that the correct sentiment??) on getting the Neal poster released. I know it was really bothering you all that they hadn’t released it, so I’m happy for you!

I’m perplex that other people think that the poster was Neal’s second chance at being a family with Rumple. Granted that’s true but I didn’t really see it that way at all. Throughout the whole season all his kept thinking about was finding Emma and Henry. Rumple wants to seek a second chance with his son, not really the other way around since during the beginning of the season all Neal saw of his father was beating a man and wanting nothing to do with him. It’s good that he reconciled with his father but if the “Believe in Second Chances” has any meaning attached to Neal, we all know that he’s hoping for a second chance at family with Emma. His whole mission was about Emma and Henry.
It’s true that the “second chance” theme could also apply to Neal and Rumple’s relationship, but yeah, like you say, the “second chance” dialogue we’ve had from Neal has been in reference to his desire to have another chance with Emma, (and also to be there for Henry). And like I said in a previous post, the timing of the release of this pic, if it was actually calculated, I think suggests that it’s meant to be in reference to Emma. If it was in part reference to Rumple, it likely would have been released after the ep where Neal left Rumple alone in the jungle, and went off to find Emma. Instead, we got it right after we saw the ep where Neal now believes that hope is lost for him and Emma.
Found this on a confession site this morning. Made me think of SwanFire (and Rumbelle). The second Emma got Neal back, she became more decisive, more sure of herself, and more clear in her mission objective. Emma and Henry are Neal’s driving force behind being a better man, making amends, and ensuring that everyone gets a happy ending.

I so desperately want Blue and Pan to have a history, but I’m not convinced they’re gonna go there. Panry read the Book, which would be a perfectly believable explanation for him deciding to then target Blue, because the Book would have revealed that she’s this ancient power who flitted around helping people, which meant she had to be eliminated so she’s one less (major) thing for Pan to worry about as he’s getting his Curse done.
Given what we know about episode 11 and the final showdown, then no he doesn’t. Robbie is most likely not appearing in the second half of the season (especially since we have a new villain played by Rebecca Mader). The only time he will probably appear is in flashbacks.
Yeah, judging by the pics, he’s pretty much almost certainly gonna die. I mean, they switched the actor for Malcolm into the scene when Rumple’s in the middle of stabbing Pan, so it looks like Pan’s gonna lose his magic, revert to being old, then die.

He’s been brilliant, they really have an asset in Robbie Kay and his fan following, so I really hope they do bring him back in the future to shoot some more flashbacks. I’m guessing that might be why they haven’t shown all of the history of the NL characters yet, specifically so that they can bring back Pan, even after they kill him off.
At this point I am going to be really upset if we never see that Swan pendant again. You just know Neal didn’t get rid of it after Emma gave it back to him in NYC. I have this awesome image in my head of him giving it back to her as a promise that he’ll always love her, and her telling him that wearing it all those years wasn’t really to remind her not to trust people….she wore it as a reminder of what it felt like to be truly loved by someone. 🙂

Totally shiptastic fantasy for 311. The NewCurse is cast, and as it rolls in, Neal whips the swan out of his pocket and says, “I’d been waiting for the right moment to give this back to you, and if this Curse is about to tear us apart again, it’s now or never.” Then she kisses him and *POOF* the NewCurse disappears because TLK just saved the day.
Note: I don’t actually expect that to happen, because based on the promo it looks like if anything happens to stop the NewCurse, it’s gonna be done by Regina, and I’d actually love it if she’s the one who manages to save them all from this NewCurse, considering she’s the one who punished them all with the OriginalCurse.
I agree. I won’t expect too much, but it feels like the second chance they set up is with Emma and Neal–but who knows. In a weird way the way they downplayed it makes me think it all the more.
If the timing of releasing this poster was calculated, then it makes sense that the second chance in the tagline is SF related, because we’re getting it right after the ep where Neal was left sitting alone in the Diner, believing his second chance was a bust, and the poster is saying, “Don’t give up hope in that second chance.” We didn’t get the poster back when he was going through the struggle with his relationship with his father, and we’ve heard him use the term “second chance” in relation to Emma specifically. So it all seems to point towards hope for SF to me.

The purple dress she’s wearing in the FTL pics is completely new. She’s also wearing the gold dress, which we’ve seen before, but the purple dress, we have never seen before.
And speaking of costume stuff, I’ve mentioned this before, but Hook’s red vest. That is what makes me think that the Hook in FTL and the Hook in NYC are not the same person hopping back and forth between worlds. If he were hopping back and forth, he wouldn’t bother changing clothes on the way there and/or back. I think the fact that they put FTL Hook in that red vest is their way of differentiating between the two, so they’re able to show both versions of Hook in the same ep, but have the audience be able to instantly distinguish that they’re in different times/places. If he were hopping between worlds, it would make more sense for him to be dressed exactly the same in both places, because if he’s meant to be the link connecting both times/places, they’d want to convey that cohesiveness to the audience, but the different costume splits it up.

They really are. Though on days where it looks as freezing as it looks in that pic, being wrapped up in that costume is probably a pretty sweet deal.
