I’m wondering if this stuff is a flashfoward.
As in, sometime in the not to distant future, everyone returns to FTL and the remaining episodes of 3.2 are how they all get there. The stuff in NYC is present day and will help fill in the gaps.
How far in the future could it be? Gotta be long enough for Snow to have grown back all that hair, and long enough for them to have completely re-assumed their former clothing styles, (frankly, having dressed in clothes from our world for so long, I wouldn’t really expect them to revert to the full on FTL style clothing for every day use), so it’d have to be at least a few years? They all still look the same ages, with the possible exception of Neal, depending on if the speculation about the grey in his hair is actually a thing, or if people are just seeing things. If the grey in his hair IS actually a thing, then he’s somehow a helluva lot older than everyone else.
They are on a pilgrimage.
They are moving to a safer location or trying to find something.
I think that’s a potential possibility, because half the horses that were on set appeared to be laden with packs of supplies.

And as much as the original tweet made me mad, Adam’s sassy response made me chuckle because he totally put that irrational person in their place.
Sounds like you had a seriously wonderful time! 🙂 It’s a bit trippy when you meet people you’ve spoken to online and just feel like you’ve know each other for real for forever, (experienced that myself in another fandom). And being able to interact with the actors musta been surreal.
I saw a post from Other Side of the Mirror that their panel was 3 hours long? Must have been great to be able to be there for such a long, in depth discussion of the show. The whole weekend musta been great, surrounded by other people to get the obsession. Would be fun to go to this one day if they end up making it an annual thing.
Also, everyone seems to forget about another curse that is coming. 🙂
No one has forgotten that fact. That NewCurse is gonna hit in 311, and then in 312, we have Hook at the very least, and possibly Snowing and Belle as well, in present day scenes in our world, as well as in this FTL stuff. If Hook (and Snowing and Belle) get affected by the NewCurse in 311 and this FTL stuff is the result, they can’t be in present day stuff in our world in 312 as well. Therefore, this FTL stuff is unlikely to be the result of the NewCurse.
The pilot episode, Charming rides a horse to rescue Snow, then it cuts to Emma in NYC. And since Emma is missing and Hook’s on a horse, it could be a CS/Snowing parallel. Only thing confusing from this is where is Rumple?
It’s FTL, people use horses as a mode of transport, there was a whole group of horses on set, so odds are, many of the characters will be on horses at some point, not just Hook.
Mr Gold was named Mr Gold because Rumple spun gold.
I think they just wanted to make Henry’s heart look unique, and that was the most effective effect to show it. Though I do get a kick outta how it looks like it’s on fire, so maybe it’s a genetic thing from Nealfire. 😛 The “holding a ball of fire” look of it is similar to Regina and her fireballs.
If there is a crest on the horse’s riding tack it would be on a piece of leather extending from his brow band like those on the horses we see at the start of 2×01. This image looks to be of the horse’s neck collar.
I didn’t bother posting the brow part because it’s very plain, looks like just a large round, plain, gem/stud, with a couple of smaller gems/studs in a line above it. Like I said, the bit around its neck was the only ornate decoration that could potentially resemble a crest.

I dunno, I just wouldn’t expect the costume changes from their real world looks. They’d have to go to FTL first, to meet Philora, and the previous times when Snow and Neal made that trip back to FTL, they didn’t get costume changes, so why would they this time? So then, they’d all venture into the Netherworld and suddenly they all look completely different, going from their real world looks to their slightly off fairytale looks? That would be really random to me.
Why the complete costume changes though? That’s one of the things that has me thinking it has to be an AU thing, because we’ve seen characters go from our world to magical worlds before, and they don’t get new costumes complete with hair extensions.
Unless they end up there due to ReverseCurse conditions which changes their clothes, but the NewCurse is meant to hit in 311, and we at the very least know for sure that Hook is in NYC for 312, (and there was rumour of other characters having been shooting present day stuff in our world for 312 as well), so I don’t see how they could be Cursed to go to a different world in 311, but still in NYC in 312?
