Sure but the implication that Belle is supposed to be with Rumple, Bae’s dad, is there. And that is full of the icky. And it would turn people off. They would want that story over and done with.
Well this is what happens when you mess with fate and change things that shouldn’t be changed. Showing the AU that makes people go, “Oh no, that is SO wrong,” makes you think that things really did happen the way they were supposed to. For all the trials, all the pain that these characters went through in the actual universe, it was all still for the best, because the alternate universe just feels wrong, even if in that reality, people who we know of as enemies, are instead friends. It goes to show that you need the mix of sorrow and happiness, that’s the proper way that life needs to play out, because the alternate path that fate could have taken where folks were all happy families with each other, it just wouldn’t have been right.

We DID suspect she’d had something to do with the adoption, until Adam confirmed that she didn’t have her memories as Mother Superior. With no memories, there’s no way she was able to manipulate the adoption process in our world.

Joking aside, that goes against like everything the show wants to be when it comes to fate. Belle and Rumple were fated for each other. He had other women but they kept leaving him in order to get him to a place ot meet Belle. So no to you!
A and E aren’t STUPID. The fan base would implode. An actual ONCER shaped hole in the universe. Also, 8pm Disney show. Don’t think they’re going to go the whole “step mom could have hooked up with son” thing.

But say if Rumple dies before he meets Belle, does that mean that she’s gotta be alone forever? They’re gonna be exploring Regina’s storyline of still having the opportunity to love someone else, even though her originally destined love died, so this would basically be the same thing. And it wouldn’t be the step mum hooking up with her son, because the way I’m thinking of it, Belle never even met Rumple in the first place.
And my AU has Emma still in Snow’s womb in this scene, so SF totally isn’t a thing here, but does that mean that Bae can’t have an AU destined love as well?
One more little AU speculation I had, which is sorta out there, almost squicky, and verging on blasphemy, so I dunno if I should even post it. 😆 If Rumple IS dead, then depending on how/when that happened, and how the AU t-word plays out…maybe Belle ended up with Bae instead? If Bae broke the Dark One curse, then Rumple was never called on by Maurice, so he didn’t have that opportunity to meet Belle. Of course, he could have still met her some other way, but on the other hand, perhaps he died before he got the chance, and instead the Stilkskin man that Belle ended up meeting was Bae.
Also another little thought on what could even trigger them using AU flashbacks. If it IS a Neal ep, and if any of our speculations about him being in trouble with the law in present day NYC prove true, and if that causes trouble for other characters as well, (because if he’s being investigated for Tamara’s disappearance, that puts the whole of SB and secret magic business potentially in jeopardy), he could well be in a mindset of, “If only I’d never come to this world and met Emma, none of this would have happened.” Aaaaannnnd cue the AU flashbacks of what would have happened if he’d never come to our world.

Starting to suspect that 3×12 is a Neal centric episode where he learns or imagines what would have happened to everyone if he had never left Emma in Tallahassee to be the Savior.
Almost what I’m thinking, except I think it’s what would have happened if he went back to FTL from NL, instead of having come to our world. If this is a Neal centric, the AU scenes would just be alternate flashbacks, instead of the usual actual flashbacks.
With Bae back in FTL, Rumple didn’t need to cast the Curse, which means he didn’t need to turn Regina into such a monster, which is why she’s hanging out with Snowing, because she was able to move past her anger over the Daniel mess. It also means that Regina never locked up Belle, which is why she’s hanging out with the rest of them as well. Hook still went back to FTL, but instead of killing Rumple, he ended up restoring his relationship with Bae, which is why he’s hanging out with the rest of them. I’m starting to think Rumple might be dead in this AU version. He and Bae had a true love parent/child moment which broke the Dark One curse, and left Rumple mortal, and he died somehow.
At this point I am really starting to think that it’s an AU.

Wonder if this could be how the whole sequence begins? Maybe Philora are just having a picnic in the pagoda, and then everyone else shows up?
Does that batch with Neal look like they’re actual acting pics, (rehearsing, because the guy in the red jacket)? If yes, then what are they talking about, I wonder.

That moment when you really should be falling asleep but instead you’re thinking about OUAT spoilers and you have a revelation that you just need to post.
Figured out a reason why Henry might need to be disguised or hidden in some way. If Hook’s arrested, and Emma’s hanging out with Hook, and his name obviously doesn’t show up in any real world database, so they run Emma’s name instead, (they’d have her name if she bails him out), and discover that that kid she’s hanging around with, she has no legal claim to him. Either there are magically fudged adoption records in the system showing Regina as his legal guardian, but she’s nowhere around right now, or, (more likely IMO), Henry was kidnapped as a newborn, and the cops manage to put the pieces together to figure out that he’s now living with his birth mother when he shouldn’t be legally. So the cops try to get Henry turned over to social services, and the way they prevent that, is they have him temporarily aged up so the authorities can no longer find him.
Speaking of Keegan’s tweets, this one was from 10hrs ago, so Chris must have hung around to shoot more stuff.
