Henry has always wanted to play Hero and lookie what do we have here? A damsel in distress! It’s the perfect scenario, so I can’t really blame him for falling for it. What’s more Wendy compared him to Neal, and that may have bolstered his desire. I would want to emulate my parents as well. (Hence Pan’s comment about a “nice touch” with Wendy adding on Bae)

Yep, Pan’s totally playing on Henry’s big dream of being a hero in his very own story. Along those same lines you mentioned of being like his father, he also now has the chance to be like his mother, and she’s the biggest hero he knows of. She was a Saviour of SB, and now Pan’s telling Henry that he can be the Saviour of NL.

How did Wendy get to NL?

Did Wendy ever get back from Neverland that first time? There are several shadows, and at least one of them can impersonate people.

Yeah I’ve been wondering about that too since we now know that shadows can shapeshift. That’s why I was trying to figure out if Wendy is meant to be older now. If yes, then obviously that was really her talking to Bae. If not, then it’s very possible that Bae was talking to the Shadow instead, and Wendy was still back in NL. Only thing is though that John said that Wendy became Pan’s prisoner when they thought they could beat him. That description fits the scene when Bae was taken, but they weren’t trying to fight Pan when Wendy was taken.

Emma’s magical potential is huge, but dark magic we’ve been told corrupts you, for once it tastes you, it wants more. This could seriously be a huge potential problem ahead for Emma, and she may need someone like Neal to help her stick to the path of light, rather than following in the dark footsteps of those who were seduced by power.

Neal has seen first hand how dark magic can corrupt. I do think there was a flash of concern on his face when he discovered that Regina had been teaching Emma magic. Even if he’s not fully aware that his father is the one who taught Regina, who is now in turn teaching Emma, he at the very least knows what kind of magic Regina practices.

Given that Emma is TL magic incarnate, I dunno that she could even be able to fully embrace dark magic, but having seen his father fall to dark magic, I can’t imagine Neal just sitting idly by and watching without being worried about it if Emma continues to take magical instruction from someone who only knows how to do the dark stuff. Maybe his concern over it, and reaction to it, if he tries to convince her to stick to the light side, will ultimately be what proves his love to her and makes her believe that she IS worth fighting for, and that they ARE worth another chance together.

She has no choice but to cooperate. Not like she can escape, and she’s gotta play along for the sake of her brothers’ safety as well.

I hope we get a super epic hug when she’s reunited with Nealfire!

And she said “look at this stuff!” when she was in the shop. I about died.

You and me both, that line was PERFECTION!

Loved AriBelle teaming up. Girls from Down Under squared. 😉

The two shadows with Pan’s my money is on them being from the Darling boys, an insurance policy if you will.

I’d think that the threat on Wendy’s life would be enough to keep her brothers in line, but it does always pay to have a backup plan, so I could see those shadows being John and Michael’s.

Or has it already been opened once, released its evil and is now free to trap Pan?

I mentioned this in spoilery talk before the ep aired, but my current crackpot theory is that Blue was Pandora, who opened the box long ago and let all the evil out, and now Rumple’s gonna use it to trap Pan.

In the previous ep, when Regina was saying that maybe there was a way other than killing Pan, she actually said, “something to contain him” which is when Rumple got the idea of using the Box.

John: You think you’re the first person who thought they could beat him?
    Belle: Why? Have you tried?
John: Yes. But we failed. It’s how our sister ended up his prisoner in the first place.

Guess we can’t say for sure yet, but did it look to anyone else like Wendy was meant to be a bit older than the last time we saw her? Obviously the boys have aged, having been working in our world, so we can’t say how old they were when Wendy was taken prisoner, but if Wendy is older, then they took a few years to find a way to get to Pan.

I hate that Henry fell for it, but I loved that Wendy got to meet Bae’s son. Can we add another branch to the family wreath, because I totally wanna call her Aunt Wendy.

I think someone said that Michael had a teddy bear keychain (I need to look for it on rewatch)

Yep, it was hanging from the rearview mirror of their car. Loved that little detail.

Just finished watching the ep, so my brief, initial reaction is to just agree with those of you who have said that if either of the guys showed “good form” in this ep, it was Neal. Neal’s realising when he’s acted inappropriately, and is apologising to Emma, validating how she feels. Hook’s putting pressure on her to feel a certain way. Neal’s actions will bolster Emma’s focus and confidence, Hook’s actions will distract and confuse her.

I’ve gotta believe that Kitswitz are aware of how they’re writing the two men as being in contrast to each other, so I’ve gotta believe that they’re writing them that way for a reason, and the reason that makes sense in my mind is that they’re setting up Neal as being Emma’s eventual choice.

Yowza, this is gonna be a BIG ep!!!

And Rumple pulling out Bae’s sword….something tells me Rumple isn’t going to be too pleased when he learns Hook put the moves on the mother of Bae’s child. Angry Daddy Rumple!

He’s pulling out Hook’s sword…which was Milah’s sword…which Hook started carrying after Rumple took his previous sword…which was his sword from his Navy days. This new scene will be a nice little history repeating moment for Hook, which is totally why Rumple will do it.

Was just reading a tumblr post that fits with some of what slurpeez was just saying…

A rant about the word Deserve

Ok, I’m new to this tumblr beastie, but I’ve got to say something about this. I’ve been seeing this word pop up A LOT in the nealfire tag.

    Deserve.

“He doesn’t deserve a second chance with Emma!” “He had his shot and he abandoned her!” “OMG Neal, would you stop talking about fighting for Emma, you didn’t before, why would you now!?!”

Does Regina deserve Henry’s love? She’s killed people, tried to brainwash him, tried to kill everyone in town so Henry could be truly her’s and her’s alone.

Does Rumple deserve Belle’s love? He’s killed, done awful things, and he kicked her out and chose power over her.

Do the Charmings deserve Emma’s love? They chose to let her go when she was born and she grew up unhappy and unloved because of it.

Does August deserve Geppetto’s love? He wasted his life, made selfish decisions, didn’t take care of Emma and ran away from facing his father after the curse broke.

Does Hook deserve Bae’s love and affection? He had a hand- pun!- in Milah choosing freedom over her own son. He is part of the reason Baefire didn’t have a mother growing up.

Does Rumple deserve Bae’s love? He was a coward turned power-crazed luny who killed people in front of his son and dropped him down a portal.

Does Jefferson deserve Grace’s love? He chose to go back to his thieving ways and let her go to travel to Wonderland where he was trapped for years and years while Grace was alone, without her papa.

And finally, why are we not all asking why Emma deserves a second chance with Hook? She abandoned him on the top of a bean stock to be left behind in Fairytale Land.

Or maybe why does Hook deserve a second chance with Emma? He abandoned her to rot in a cell in Fairytale Land, never to see her son again.

“Well that’s only because freaking Neal left her behind and abandoned Emma first!!!!! She was scared to trust because of what he did”

Ummmm, excuse me, but if anyone is entitled to the I was traumatized so I made a terrible decision excuse, it’s Neal. He was abandoned by his mother, his father dropped him down a portal because Rumple was scared and wanted power, he had to let go of a wonderful family that took him in and loved him because of magic, he was betrayed by hook, left on an island to be harassed and psychologically battered by a deranged teenage boy and God knows what else he went through.

Nobody’s denying that Emma was hurt because of Neal. but why is Hook’s pain romanticized and signed over and used as an excuse for the mistakes he’s made but Nealfire’s is dismissed?

Nobody on this show deserves love because love is not something the can be earned. Trust is. Respect is. But love? Love is a gift. It is something freely given, sometimes in spite of who we are or what we’ve done.

And thank God it is because if not, none of our ships would sail.

So, Hook deserves a second chance with Emma and is clearly going for it. Good for him. But so is Neal and if Hook and Regina and Rumple and every-freaking-body else gets a second chance at happiness then why shouldn’t Neal?
