I think Neal’s very conflicted at the moment. Emma had just told him she had hoped he was dead, now Hook’s told him about the kiss. Neal still has feeling for Emma but he doesn’t want to go throwing his weight around like a jealous boyfriend. Emma would rip him a new one if he did. Neal doesn’t feel he has the right to express what he feels so he shuts it down.
Emma did not simply tell him she wished he was dead. She said she’d wished he was dead because it would be the easy option, rather than facing the fact that she loves him and dealing with all their painful stuff that HAS to be dealt with. (And he’s not judging her for feeling like that because he totally accepts that he’s hurt her and she deserves to feel how she feels.) Emma’s been completely torn apart emotionally right now, and if Neal lost his cool over the kiss, it would only serve to tear her down and upset her again. (Then people would be talking bad about him because he’d upset her again. Dude can’t win.) So because he gives a damn about her being able to keep it together and focus on saving their son, he’s not gonna argue with her about the kiss right now. He’s not conflicted IMO, he knows what he feels and what he has to do right now.
I understand that Phee, I was just making a point what I thought no need to get so personal or defensive it is my opinion and observation gee wiz.
And I was simply pointing out a different perspective, and from my perspective, his expression conveyed his emotion pretty obviously. No offense intended.

am also disappointed in Neal’s response to Hook, no emotion what so ever in his voice or his actions.
Did you happen to pay attention to the look on his face? Because he was quite obviously affected by it, but like he said they have to focus on saving their son. What good would it have done to get into a screaming match then and there? None. It would have only served to delay them, and it would mean they wouldn’t be able to work together afterwards. So instead he did the mature thing and didn’t freak out, because frankly they have more important things to focus on right now, like saving Henry’s life and stuff.
lunatiger, I know right, what he must have been feeling in that moment!! URGH!! But like he says, they have to focus on saving their son, and he knows that picking a fight with Hook right then and there would NOT have helped them save Henry, quite the opposite.
Maybe they don’t go to get Tink until after they’ve succeeded in Dark Hollow, (she did say she wasn’t interested until they actually had an escape plan sorted, which they won’t have until after Dark Hollow). Looks like they already have the tied up coconut when they go to her house.
How does Tink fit into all this? Is she not tagging along? The press release just says it’s the Trio but from the photos and the recent interview with Rose, I thought she might going with them.
Wouldn’t surprise me if she does go. Also wouldn’t necessarily surprise me if she doesn’t go though. It could be one of those situations where the more people who go in, the more dangerous it is because it’s one extra person to worry about. Guess it’ll depend on if she’s got some special skill or knowledge of the place that will actually help.
BTW, I do think that the Shadow might end up actually trapped in the shell somehow, because haven’t we seen it in pics, (and maybe even when Emma’s holding it in the promo) with rope tied all around it to keep it closed?
So I’m guessing the plan to catch the Shadow is to set down the coconut, light the candle, and because all light there gets snuffed out, the Shadow will come to snuff out the candle and they slam on the top of the shell and trap it? Or something like that? (Love that I’m sitting here trying to figure out actual logistics of trapping a shadow inside a coconut.)
Maybe? That seems…well crazy is the only word I can come up with. We know Shadows hate light and are repulsed by it. All Bae had to do was light the match and the Shadow fled in terror.
Oh, new idea! That coconut throws up countless spots of light, so if there are shadows swarming around in the air, all those lights are gonna make them scatter. Then maybe The Shadow will have to come out of hiding to take care of them himself, and that’s when they catch it somehow?
I admit, I scoffed when u guys said the coconut might be important, I just thought he was holding a coconut 😛 but now I know never scoff at a crack theory again. (I mean… Well you guys did say Henry was going to be turned into a coconut >>)

I don’t think Hook’s gloating, I think he just thinks that the kiss was the secret that Emma told to get Neal out of the cage. That belief was reinforced when Hook overheard Neal telling her he’ll fight for her. Why else would he say that unless he knew he had competition, right? But now after this little revelation in the cave, Hook knows that Neal didn’t say he’ll fight for her because he wants to wrangle her away from him or anything, he just said he’s gonna fight for her because he straight up loves her. Which could potentially change how Hook looks at the whole situation. Why wouldn’t Emma reveal the kiss? What other secret did she reveal instead?
