ParticipantJust after the rabbit watched Alice and Cyrus bury the lamp I think he refers to being late for his wife. Or maybe he just said dear?
“Honey, sorry I’m late!”
Rabbit totally has a wife who is totally being held prisoner by RQ.

ParticipantIt’s been discussed a bit in a couple of other threads, but I’ll put some thoughts here too. (And yes, I noticed it wasn’t mentioned at all in the podcast, which was disappointing, though unfortunately not entirely surprising.)
I was surprised when there were people who had been under the impression that that scene had anything to do with Mulan loving Philip, as opposed to Aurora. To me, it was pretty clear, they even gave Mulan an exact line of Aurora’s, “We shall see,” when she was discussing with Robin about going to see a loved one. And there’s no logical reason that Mulan would have wanted to tell Aurora, “So, I’m in love with your husband.”
Anyway, I guess the way they set it up, going back to S2 where Aurora suspected Mulan had a crush on Philip and she denied it, they probably always intended to end this story thread in this way, without any specific declaration of love from Mulan to Aurora, so I guess they intended to leave it slightly ambiguous for people who might see it either way. On the one hand, that sorta feels like a cop out, because if you’re gonna introduce LGBTQ characters, do it obviously and conclusively. On the other hand, I wonder if their thinking was that doing it this way would get people discussing the issue, and would prepare everyone for the next LGBTQ storyline, which I’m thinking (hoping) will be in the not too distant future. It shouldn’t be a contentious issue, it should just be a case of, “Good stuff, another new love story to watch,” but unfortunately the reality is that there’s a social stigma to same sex relationships, so maybe they’re treading carefully at first?
The way they’ve left it now, they could either pick up Mulan’s story again in the future, (I know Jamie’s on another show, but odds are that Robin’s coming back, and Mulan’s living with him now, so if Jamie becomes available, they could give her more story), or alternately, they’ve opened the door to introduce more LGBTQ characters in the future. (A few of us have speculated a bit if they might make Prince Eric gay, given that Hans Christen Anderson wrote the original as basically an unrequited love letter to a man he knew he could never be with, so there’s some historical basis for them twisting up the story that way.)

Participantthebassgal, I’m pretty much on board with pretty much all of that!
Only thing I’m not quite sold on is Blue being Pan’s mother, but that’s partially because my brain is so entrenched in the idea that Pan is Rumple’s older brother. Though thinking about a possible origin point for Blue and Pan’s relationship, in Barrie’s original story, Peter Pan runs off to live with the fairies, and that’s how he ultimately gets sent to NL, so perhaps Blue was the fairy who sent him there when he wanted to shun the human world?
Interesting facts about the names Rhuel and Gorm. We know they’re Gaelic for Blue Star, but those descriptions of each word as an individual name fit Blue so well.
One other little bit of speculation I’ll throw into the mix here is that I’ve always wondered if the Seer might have been Blue in disguise. Originally got the idea when I thought there might have been a hint of Keegan’s voice layered in there with the young Seer’s voice, but thought I might have been imagining it. But then, the Seer has bright blue eyes. And whenever Keegan’s asked what other character she’d love to play, she always says she loves the little bit parts, and always specifically mentions the Seer. And now we’ve seen Blue chastise Tink for getting big for no reason, which I’m wondering might be a tiny hint that Blue herself has got big a couple of times for what she deemed to be a very good reason. And Blue is the one who basically told Rumple that a Curse would do the trick, and then the Seer reinforced that for him, telling him that yes, the future most definitely involved the casting of a terrible Curse.
If Blue wanted Regina to cast the curse, which eventually led to Tink being removed, then why did she want Rumple taken out? Blue would have needed Rumple too, so that he could push Regina to casting the curse.
The only possibility is that Blue knew Rumple wouldn’t go with Bae.
That’s what I think, yes, that she knew Rumple wouldn’t be able to go down the beanhole. And if they (Blue/Pan) needed Bae, because they ultimately needed Henry, they had to get Bae in the right time and place, which meant separating him from his father, and having him end up in NL for a couple of centuries.

ParticipantI wonder if pixie dust could cure him…as long as he believes it can? Right now he’s pretty convinced there’s no hope of being saved, and he’ll lose more faith as time goes on. Perhaps whatever it is that can cure him, a vital part of it working is him believing that it can, despite the fact he’s lost hope?

ParticipantI know this whole Phoenix constellation thing sorta started as a bit of a joke, but dang you guys have applied some cool OUAT logic to it, and now I really really want that to seriously be a star map that somehow influenced Nealfire having ended up in Phoenix so Henry would ultimately be born there.

ParticipantPhee, you were nearly right. The newest promo gives a glimpse of a giant kraken-like creature! So, they still might be trying to get squid ink. I love your idea that squid ink might be a way to treat dreamshade (which does look black and inky).
OMG KRAKEN?! OK, so just the half second shot of that thing gives me the creeps, which means that even if my little theory is partially correct, I’m gonna be creeped out watching it be right, so it’ll be WIN wrapped in FAIL. 😛
Except these two (Rumble & Neal) don’t even know that David is sick. Maybe they ride the animal to a cave under the sea or some place else.
The squid ink may well be powerful stuff and have more than one use, and so Rumple and Neal might want some for another purpose, but if it turns out it can also heal Charming, that’s a bonus.

ParticipantAs to Bae’s poster, noticed everyone has an object that’s highlighted and his is the only one that doesn’t have one. The only thing that stands out is his hand in that one pocket. These posters aren’t random and the objects were chosen to represent the characters overall arc. Between his tagline (which pretty much speaks for itself) and choosing to physically show the necklace I think would be a bit much and lose the emotional impact of the reveal later in the season.
I love your logic! 🙂

ParticipantHave they even had time to have shot 310 yet? Unless the mid season “finale” is gonna be a two parter?

ParticipantI know we’re supposed to be all ship friendly but is anybody else’s shipper heart hurting because of the picture
Honestly, I’m not really worried. This is gonna happen during the time when she still thinks Neal is dead, and it’s gonna be a heat of the moment type thing, and I really can’t see CS continuing to make out by the campfire once Neal is around, so I think it’s probably gonna be a one off. It won’t be too long until WE are the ship who gets to rejoice over seeing our pair side by side again.

Participantther Swanthief flashback after watching that sneak peek. Emma had a similar reaction when she spotted the dream catcher in his apt. I wouldn’t be surprised if Neal made a similar make shift night light that mimicked the constellation when they were together. Her reaction seemed nostalgic and familiar.
Maybe but I think the nostalgia comes mostly from remembering Neal and wishing she could have had a second chance to get to know him better. Emma says to Hook, “You must’ve known him really well,” in a wishful sort of way, like she wishes she could’ve known all the sides of Baelfire. *feels*
Well lucky for Emma, she’s gonna get that chance after all. 😉
I would die if some day we get a flashback where he made a similar light when they were together.
I hope so Mick, also I just had this thought on the Believe poster. His hand is in his pocket, holding the Swan Necklace.
WAAAAHHHHHH, FEEEEEEEEELLLLLLSSSSSS!
Not sure how much she’s going to care honestly.
I think she might care more in the sense of, “You had multiple times to tell me this in the past week, Hook, but I had to wait and hear it from Neal. Why weren’t you just honest with me? Were you ever gonna tell me?”
