ParticipantRobin Hood making out that Rumple saved Marian and that RH owes Rumple one. If RH owes anybody it’s Belle and it was the wand that saved Marian not Rumple’s magic. All Rumple did was not kill Robin Hood, he didn’t go out of his way to help him.
The comment in 301 about Rumple having spared his life, I was willing to fanwank it that he meant, “At least he didn’t kill me on sight, which made it possible for me to escape.” But, yeah, unless we get some more info about that wand at some point, he can’t really hold Rumple responsible for having saved Marian’s life. I think you’re probably right and they’re just twisting things a bit to give Robin a reason for going along with Neal’s plan.
Robin Hood being Regina’s new true love and that his life was “ruined” by her not meeting him. Really? He has a son he loves and had a wife he loved. Was his life really ruined? I don’t think so.
I don’t think his life was actually ruined. Tink wouldn’t be aware that he went on to have a wife and child though, so she’s basically assuming that because Regina’s life went to hell when they didn’t meet, his life must have as well.
I wonder if part of having Robin agree to Neal’s plan might be that he now understands what it’s like to have your actions put your child in a perilous situation, which is something Regina knows about all too well.

ParticipantHeather, that’s so cool he answered your question! 🙂 Thanks for asking it, because I’d been wondering whose idea the shoelace was.
Colin is adorkable asking who his fave actor from Drogheda is, because whenever the cast do one of these, Adam is always, “Who is your fave writer from NYC?” 😆

ParticipantSleepingWarrior is a reasonably popular ship. I’ve always figured it was believable from Mulan’s perspective, but it was never gonna be canon simply because we’ve already got twoo wuv proof where Aurora is concerned.

Participant308 and 311 are supposed to have Rumple’s father. 304 is Rumple centric, but as far as we know, it won’t flashback to the time of his father.

ParticipantAs far as NealfireBaitGate is concerned, I’m somewhat conflicted. On the one hand, it’s totally true that he’d hate for Henry to be used in the same way. Roland was put into a potentially dangerous situation, and Neal knew where Roland would end up if the plan was a bust, so it was dubious and risky, and ideally he shouldn’t have resorted to that.
On the other hand, Neal resorting to such desperate and less than moral methods to get to his son could be foreshadowing of Neal coming to understand why his own father resorted to such desperate and less than moral methods to get to him. Neal doesn’t want to be his father, he wants to break that cycle of abandonment and abuse, but in order to do that right thing, he ended up doing something that was arguably wrong, and I think that adds some interesting complexity to the character. It’ll hopefully be something they use in upcoming eps as they explore Neal and Rumple’s relationship, and whether or not they can understand each other and reconcile. I think that as long as Neal saw everything his father had done as being straight up reprehensible, it was gonna be hard for the reconciliation to really happen. But now that he himself has been pushed to that brink, and done something that put people, a child no less, in danger, but he was driven by a need to get to people he loves, one of whom he’s wronged and hurt, basically Nealfire has totally just had himself a Rumple moment. So with any luck, this was done as a bit of character development to help Neal eventually see his father in a slightly different light.
Compromising one’s integrity is a theme we’re already seeing with Charming not being honest about his injury and impending death, so it’s interesting to see another character, the guy who hurt Charming’s daughter no less, having a similar lapse in moral judgement. Can the end justify the means is a question we can ask of both of these guys right now. In Neal’s case, he knew the risks, but also had enough knowledge of the Shadow to plan for those risks, so felt justified in taking the chance, and luckily it worked. If Roland still ends up being taken, I’m sure Neal will feel incredibly guilty.
Emma finding out a little bit of Snow’s history and that it wasn’t all sunshine and roses for Snow either.
This was such a brief moment, but I think it’s really important. Emma was rather surprised to learn that her mother had ever lived like that. She thinks they’re so completely different, and Snow doesn’t really understand what life has been like for her, but this was a little glimpse at something they can both relate to, and maybe it’ll be a starting point for them to understand each other more.
6. I liked the Hook and Emma coconut scene.
Hook just chillin’ and punchin’ holes in coconuts made me laugh. Loved it. This is probably that “tropical drink” that Jane mentioned Hook having made a while ago. 😉

ParticipantSorry to burst any shipper bubbles but given that the actors are all on other shows and are side characters, and they went as far as to try to give Phillip & Aurora their happy ending by being back together and having a baby, I really doubt that we’ll see much of any of them, much less have there be some big FakePhillip storyline. In order to realize he’s different, we’d have to actually spend time with the character and we really haven’t been for various reasons. I think their storyline is pretty well wrapped up now, minus a couple flashbacks here and there that might shed some light on stories of others.
Agreed with that. Dunno if this is exactly a spoiler, so dunno if it really needs blacking out, but some of us have been stalking all the actors on Twitter/Instagram throughout the filming of the season, and these three don’t appear to have been in Vancouver again since 303 was shot. At the time, we were all wondering why the actresses for Aurora and Mulan were there, but the guy who plays Phillip was elsewhere, and now we know. So I wouldn’t be getting my hopes up about any more storyline with them in the immediate future. Someone asked at the NYCC Panel if we’d find out how Phillip came back, and they said definitely not in the first 11. (Sorry if any of that should be spoilered out, but I figured it’s sorta general info that could prevent people getting their hopes up and being disappointed.)
I would love to get that story of how they saved him some day. I’d love to see how and why Aurora was cursed, and the same for her mother. Out of the three of them though, I’d guess that Mulan might be the one we’re more likely to see more of at some point, especially if we’re gonna be getting more of Robin in the future.
I think that for now, they’ve left her story as one of unrequited love because that might be a theme we’ll see again this season with other characters as well. The Little Mermaid is all about unrequited love, (especially the original version), and *prepares to duck and run* I think we might get shades of this theme with CaptainSwan as well.
Anyway, the way they’ve left it, they’ve now got the door open to explore a lesbian relationship in the future if Jamie Chung is available and they can fit some more Mulan into the story, perhaps if she ends up in SB, or if everyone else eventually ends up back in FTL.

ParticipantNot sure what exactly their history entailed, but I loved that Hook addressed her as, “Lady Bell”, and he was standing there with his sword casually slung over his shoulder as opposed to the rest who all had their weapons out, ready to strike. Certainly implies a previous, close association of some sort.

ParticipantPan manipulates, but we don’t yet know if he’s prone to lying. He has said he always keeps his promises.
Rumple was the one who declared Emma to be the “Saviour”, and if his knowledge of the purpose of the Curse only went so far as his own involvement in it – so acquiring it, setting up the situation where it was cast, and seeing to it that it could be broken to he could find his son – then yeah, she was the Saviour as far as he knew.
But if the Curse was really just part of a larger game, which Pan is aware of, then from Pan’s perspective, the objective, and therefore the “Saviour” is different.

ParticipantThey’ve given Pan a pan flute!
The Lost Boys dancing around the fire looks creepy.
Wonder if Rumple&Son are fishing for a mermaid?

ParticipantI think that by 3×11, enough people will believe in Tinkerbell again for her to get her wings back. Then, she’ll use her nuclear-power pixie dust to enchant the Jolly Roger to fly home (like in the PP cartoon). The ship will carry Emma and her family back to SB or wherever their next destination is. That is how everyone will get off of the island.
Headcanon accepted!
I love the little shaking motion Tink does when her wings went in and out, and how she still had the mannerism, even after all these years of not having her wings. Those wings are totally gonna come back.
