ParticipantHmmm, so we’re going back to around the time when he lost Bae, then. That makes sense. I wonder if this will be when he discovered the Curse? Maybe he went to NL around that time, (I’ve got it in my head that that’s where the Curse originated from)?
New thought…Rumple loses Bae, Blue drops the hint about a Curse, Seer (*cough*alsoBlue?*cough*) confirms for him that there’s gonna be a Curse, Rumple goes to NL to find said Curse, while there tells Pan that he lost his son down a portal to a land without magic, so Pan sends the Shadow to the land without magic, and Bae arrives in NL not long after Rumple leaves.

ParticipantI don’t remember hearing it in the episode regarding the arrows, but didn’t Hook say that the dreamshade he used on Rumple was a concentrated dose of it? So that should make Charming’s go a lot slower I would think. Poor thing will be suffering and hiding it. *sniff*
“This plant is the source of the toxins I used on the Dark One. I used a concentrated dose. In its natural form, death will be much slower and far more painful.” I’d guess that the arrow tips were just dipped in the stuff, so Charming’s in for a whole world of pain.

ParticipantCaptainCharming has excellent bromance potential! I loved the, “Hate to say it, but I agree with him,” moments they had.

ParticipantAlso, I have a feeling that people are gonna ship Tinkerbell and Regina together after this episode.
Oh people have been shipping them since Tink was first announced! 😆 I don’t ship it, but I do love the ship name: FairyQueen.

ParticipantWhat do orphans believe more than anything else in the world? That their parents will come and get them.
Do orphans believe that though, or just hope for it? The Lost Boys of NL cry, so I dunno that there’s much belief in them, but I think the one who’s mindset we really need to figure out is Pan. So far he’s come across as being pretty hardcore and emotionless, but is that a mask for a lost little boy who desperately wants to believe that parents really can love their children? Or has he really decided 100% that there’s no such thing as familial love and he just likes screwing with people’s minds because it’s a fun game and people don’t deserve to be treated any better? What exactly is he trying to prove with these things he’s saying to Emma? Is he just trying to beat her down, or, like we suspect Rumple was doing in 301, is he telling her something negative in order to get her fired up so she can prove him wrong?
As far as how Henry feels, there was that interview where Jared implied that Henry had no one to believe in any more, so perhaps over time, he will start to doubt that his family will find him? Pan’s statement felt like he was speaking from experience, so he thinks it’s a foregone conclusion that Henry’s gonna feel that way too before too long. But if Pan needs the heart of the truest believer, then what does he gain if Henry’s heart starts to doubt? From what we’ve seen in the first two seasons, Henry is a very understanding kid. I honestly think he has been OK with accepting that Emma gave him up so he’d have his best chance. But perhaps being surrounded by all the orphans in NL will test that belief?

ParticipantShe showed up when he was focused on the doll. Obviously he’s got a whole mess of emotions connected to that thing, and he had to let it out somehow, but had no one to talk to. So up popped Belle. I think she’s gonna be an influential and powerful force as the story progresses, because Rumple really is completely alone in NL, and he’s gonna be going to some bad places emotionally and Belle’s appearances will provide an outlet for his fears. The Dark One is like the devil on one shoulder, and Belle is like the angel on the other.

ParticipantLOL I totally wondered about that deer, and was half expecting it to be shapeshifting Rumple or something, (because we knew that Snow was gonna have a scene with Rumple at some point). 😛

ParticipantI also think that Peter knew that Emma would accept the orphan thing last, and think that *that* was what triggered it by virtue of what it was, when it was an important part of what triggered it.
Yep, the orphan thing was the final piece of the puzzle, and (I’m assuming) being an orphan himself, and having been surrounded by orphans his whole life, he knew that it would be the hardest thing for Emma to accept and admit about herself, especially when she has her parents right there, who are really hoping to fix things with her.

ParticipantWas he speaking of Rufio?
Yep. “You remember what I did to Rufio.” And Felix almost seemed to growl in response, so I’m guessing what he did to Rufio was rather not nice!
Loved how Pan said, “Bad form. I’d expect more from you, Captain.” Good/bad form is traditionally a huge thing for Hook, and Pan saying that to him all smugly was like the ultimate insult.
I’ve always hoped that Hook made a rescue attempt of Bae, and right now I can’t think of anything else that would have inspired him to set foot on land and explore the entire island, even seeking out Pan’s camp.

ParticipantSo we end NL finding out that Pan is to NL as Rumple is to the EF. In both cases they are strong, powerful, evenly matched in some ways but opposite. What if Pan searched for his father just as Rumple searched for his son?
Sort of along the same lines, but slightly different take…what if Pan had hoped that his father would search for him, but he didn’t. That could play into the game he’s got going with Emma now, trying to test if there are actually parents who will go to great lengths to find their children. It could also play into it if Rumple was in NL as an adult previously, and maybe Pan played a similar game with him and Bae.
Also, I’m totally on board with that idea of Pan being to NL what Rumple is to FTL. I think that each world has its ultimate, dark force, and they’re both it, for different worlds.
