ParticipantI think that ultimately it’s Henry’s heart that PP is after, and he’s testing its strength by putting Henry in a situation where he’s in danger, and has to keep the faith against mounting odds that his family will save him.
But I also think he’s testing Emma for some particular purpose as well. This is PP we’re talking about, so mummy issues and testing the familial bond to see if it truly exists is something that would totally fit. And along those same lines, I suspect we might see him testing Regina as well, (her promo poster did focus on a mother’s love being able to overcome). Perhaps him testing Emma is intended to have a flow on effect of testing Regina at the same time, seeing if the two mothers who are typically very antagonistic, can actually come together and play nice for the sake of saving their son.

Participantdo we know the heart is a literal term like has it been confirmed i know pan was seen with a knife but does he want to cut henrys heart out or does he just need henrys belief to fuel neverland? like all the little tests pan will play is to actually strengthen henrys belief and eventually break another curse possibly?
I like the idea of PP testing Henry in order to strengthen his belief. Henry is now aware that he’s in a situation that’s potentially very dangerous, and if PP continues to mess with his head, and with his family, it would a further test for Henry’s belief. If he hangs in there, he’s gonna end up some kinda crazy powerful. It’s a bit Biblical, like God choosing certain people and putting them in life threatening situations to test their faith.
I’m also wondering if maybe – to bring back GOAT’s mission (which would make me feel a lot better because their end was so abrupt) maybe Pan wasn’t about destroying magic, so much as he was about making Neverland the only place it existed. With the Shadow’s frequent visits to the regular world, he could have known about mankind’s faltering belief in magic etc. Perhaps he’s decided to take magic from this world (which GOAT misinterpreted as destroying, rather than just removing) and bring it to Neverland. As Henry has proven capable of convincing others of magic’s power (and be willing to sacrifice a lot to do so) he is exactly the sort of person Pan couldn’t afford to have running around in the mundane world- better to have his belief in Neverland where it actually translates into power.
Interesting idea! Maybe something related to this could tie into why all the boys who have been taken, were taken? If you’re enough of a believer in magic that you’ll grab onto a Shadow’s hand and fly into the night sky, then you need to be contained in NL, where that belief can be put to PP’s use, instead of being allowed to run free in our world?
Edit: Just occurred to me- I definitely think Pan is experiencing a drop in power. Otherwise- why waste time with GOAT? Why not just send the shadow to pick up the boy and bring him back in one fell swoop? Perhaps the shadow is no longer capable for traveling to our world? Maybe after centuries, Peter’s belief is faltering, and he’s trying to find power to sustain himself.
Good point. Even if there’s a larger prophecy in play here, involving Rumple’s undoing, and maybe even something to do with Emma’s magic, so they all had to end up in NL, the rest of them still would have ended up there, even if it had just been the Shadow taking Henry, instead of GOAT doing it. So maybe the Shadow wasn’t able to.

ParticipantIt’s just that he was fresh out of unicorn stickers.
😆
Agreed with everything, that he was definitely telling her these things to encourage her, get her fired up, and give her helpful info, all of which she’ll need if she’s gonna survive NL and get Henry home.
There may have even been an edge to it where he wanted her to hate him a bit, so that if it comes down to it, and he’s in a position where he can’t stop himself from hurting Henry, Emma will step in and take him out if need be.

ParticipantLove how the light is reflecting off the blade in that photo, so it’s really obvious. SwanFire going into battle together! Bring it on!

ParticipantWe MUST get the Thanksgiving dinner at some point! And YES to everyone getting their happily ever after!
I think everyone will end up back in FTL, but they’ll be able to take the conveniences and knowledge of our world back with them. They’ll use that to rebuild FTL, and it’ll end up being the best of both worlds.
The only couple I have really specific endgame headcanon for is SwanFire. Agreed with previous comments about them being married on the deck of the JR, with Hook performing the ceremony, (neither of SF are churchy types, Captains can marry people, and he’ll be Emma’s BFF and will have built a close relationship with Neal as well, so it’s his honour to marry them).
Back in FTL, they live in a big house, named Tallahassee. It’s near a beach, even though the real Tallahassee isn’t, but Emma asked if it was, and Neal said everything in Florida is near a beach, so their Tallahassee house must be near the beach. It will be across the water from Snowing’s castle, so Emma will always be within sight of the parents she spent her whole life longing for.
The Tallahassee house will serve as a foster home for every orphaned/abandoned child in FTL, and so Emma and Neal, who both grew up alone, will ensure that no other child from their world ever suffers that same fate. They both always longed for a loving family, and will end up with the biggest, most loving family ever.
Hook – actually Killian, because in my headcanon he’s gonna get his hand back at some point, so will have to stop calling himself Hook – will be off, sailing around the realms with Ariel, who is finally getting to live out her wanderlust by discovering everything, everywhere. Whenever they make port in the EF, they stop by Tallahassee and all the kids gather around for story time with Uncle Killian, and he tells wonderful tales of his adventures on the high seas.
I also see Rumbelle married with a baby on the way. Snowing will have another child, but that will be before the show ends, (we need to see the angst of Emma dealing with seeing her sibling get to grow up with their parents).

ParticipantI’m not sure that the ring is the same one Lana tweeted the pic of. You can see the 302 ring pretty clearly in this high res version: http://www.farfarawaysite.com/section/once/gallery3/gallery4/hires/48.jpg
Looks like it’s a similar style, but the one she tweeted had 3 sections, with the bedazzled bit in the middle, and this ring has 2 sections, with the bedazzled bit on the end, curving over the end of her finger.I’m not normally a swooner of Josh Dallas but MAN! With the longer hair….mmmmmhm.
He’s looking SO good this season. Seriously!
On a different note, this pic of Snow is BEAUTIFUL! It makes even Regina look somewhat plain by comparison.
Fairest of them all indeed!

Phoenix, Palm Trees, and Swan Fire
http://www.phoenixarises.com/phoenix/legends/story.htm
The phoenix builds itself a nest on top of a palm tree with cinnamon bark, sets itself on fire, and is reborn.
In Greek the word phoenix can also be used for palm tree.
Florida’s state tree is the sabal palm.
The seed of the Palm Tree is the coconut. Nealfire had a picture of palm trees in his father’s hut and is holding a coconut in both NVLGroup photos
Phoenix is where Neal stole the watches. Phoenix is where Emma did time and gave birth. Tamara’s name, literally, means palm tree.
Swan Fire. The fire bird ship.

And just like the mythical fire bird, SwanFire will rise from the ashes! Seriously, there’s too much symbolism there for it to just all be coincidence. They’re totally planting hints that tie their story together.

ParticipantI now think that the Darling boys are the ones who brought baby Henry to town. Because they work for PP, they had some magic that allowed them to find the town, even though it was invisible. That means that even if Belle’s put the cloaking spell up now, the Darling boys will still be able to find SB and get in, and that’s what they were shooting with the car. PP probably wants to be kept up to date on what’s happening back there right now, so it’d make sense for him to send in spies.
Phee
ParticipantWell, so much for him being Regina’s fave kill. So long, Greg.
Phee
ParticipantNice stalking, lostwithme!
So they’re driving into town? Agents of THO who have been in our world, and now they’re heading to SB, perhaps?
Can anyone squint enough to make out what state that license plate is from?
