Here’s a little bit from a Ginny interview that was posted today…
Access: Snow is watching her own daughter go through the pain of not having her child, with Henry having been kidnapped and taken to Neverland. Will this bring them closer together or farther apart as they try to get him back?
Ginnifer: It’s absolutely going to force them to address the relationship, which is something that Jennifer Morrison and I had been begging to do because we love that last season, our adventures were epic, but we felt like every time we came close to really [analyzing] this dynamic between them… we would be interrupted somehow. But guess what? When you’re trapped on a boat and going to Neverland and there’s only like five of you or six of you, you get to address things. I love where the writers have taken these characters and they’re really going to dive into this dynamic, what’s between them and all the guilt and the abandonment issues and blame and sense of hopelessness and helplessness and we’re really going to get to analyze all of that.
Emma’s gonna be processing all of those issues with her parents, and inevitably that will involve processing the same issues she has with Neal – having someone leave her because of her destiny. If she’s been hashing all that out with her parents and is starting to accept and understand it properly, that bodes well for her doing the same with Neal when he shows up. Not that I think she’ll see him and instantly be all, “Bygones,” but if she’s gonna reconcile with her parents, she’ll have to reconcile with Neal as well, because the abandonments are so similar.

BTW-Anyone else want to see Neal take a trip to the Snowing castle while he’s in the EF and see Emma’s nursery and the life she lost when his father started the whole curse mess? I kind of want to see that happen but I also think that has the potential to do me in emotionally, LOL 😆
I dunno if he’d have the same overly emotional experience there that Snow and Emma did. I think that him finding all his old clothes that his father kept will be his version of that scene. I have wondered for some time if he might use some more wardrobe ashes to make his own portal though, and if so, he would end up in the nursery.
Access: Yes! And how when it got really cold you were freezing your butt off and I’ve noticed you’ve got a coat on this season. Was part of that because of what happened last time around?
Ginnifer: Oh, 100 percent. Not only did I make sure that I took a coat, I made sure, in the finale, that I packed a backpack last season so that if I was desperate to change, I could justify pulling something out of my backpack.
Access: Look at that, you’re making it work!
Ginnifer: Well, the creators got mad at me, I mean, not genuinely mad, but they teased me that I had tricked them and there would be consequences. I said, ‘Na-na-na-na-na! Out of this thing I could pull a hammer, a grilled cheese, I mean anything.’
😆 😆 So THAT’S why Snow had a backpack. Sounds a bit like Mary Poppins’ bag of tricks. 😉
Knowing that Neal will use magic, and *blood magic* at that, makes me really interested in seeing if this will be a common thread through the season. Rumple used it to find Bae and Henry, Bae is now using it to find Henry. How fitting would it be for PP to have used it this whole time to find his family/the boy that will save NL, if in fact, he and Rumple are brothers, (possibly from other mothers)? Those are my initial crazy thoughts. They’re totally nuts I admit it. But for some reason they seem to click in a way!
If you’re nuts then so am I, because I LOVE it! Have been on Team Brothers for a while now, and I love the way you connected it all up like that with the blood magic to track family.
As for Wendy and THO, I really think this is a good, solid theory for those of you that have mentioned it. I can’t fully get behind it for this though: If Wendy/the Darlings *started* THO to find Bae because he was taken to NL -> Greg and Tamara work for THO and their mission is to bring Henry to PP -> PP wanted Henry and used THO to get him to NL -> PP would be the head of an organization the Darlings started to save Bae from PP headed by PP?
The general idea with this theory is that PP assumed control of the organisation that was initially set up to find Bae, and changed its purpose. I’ve recently started considering the possibility that Wendy could have actually been an anti-magic, hunter type, not that different to Tamara, (though not quite as ruthless, because we know that Wendy does have compassion). After Wendy came back from NL, she was all, “You were right, Bae, magic is bad news,” which is GOAT’s motto. So maybe the Darling children started THO as a means to not only find Bae, but to hunt down magic so it couldn’t hurt other families the way PP had hurt theirs, and so many others. So eventually the Darling children do find a way to get to NL, to try and rescue Bae, and PP’s all, “Nope, nice try, but NOPE,” and imprisons them there. He then assumes control over THO, still letting them go about their magic hunting ways in our world, with the exception that they’re no longer against him and his magic and his world. It means that PP has employees in our world which will come in handy down the line for Curse and kidnapping related missions.
We all know that despite being ridiculously attractive, Charming (Josh Dallas) and Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) don’t really have a whole lot in common and this leads to some hot alpha male struggles.

Get ready to embrace your inner evil! The Dark One is back and just as wicked as we remember. However, Neverland is a place that makes your confront your past, and Rumple’s past is much more twisted then we could ever imagine. Two words: Daddy issues.
*shakes pom poms and cheers* Brothers! Brothers! 😉 Seriously though, this pretty much confirms for me that that doll was made by Rumple’s father. The writer of the article was talking about stuff seen in the first 2 eps.

What in the world?? Wendy perhaps? Racking my brain on this one!That was from the article listing 10 things from each ep, wasn’t it, (so many articles it’s a bit of a blur)? I think they’re just talking about the Genie.
Neal’s initial mission is clear: he wants to travel to his father’s castle in order to find a magical item to contact Emma. Mulan will accompany him and they’ll stumble across Robin Hood. Will he be able to reach Emma? Let’s just say that some blood magic might help him along.
Blood magic, you say? Hmmmmm.
I really need Neal to find his young Bae clothes. Like…a lot.

I think that the gay character will end up being limited to just the spin-off rather than the main series though.
Don’t see why they couldn’t have gay characters on both shows. Maybe Will and Eric used to date. 😉
Someone voluntarily takes a swim?
We know Emma falls overboard so either she does it on purpose or Gold gets away from the others by swimming. Interesting, wouldn’t think Emma would go over on purpose, but then why would Gold swim when he could just teleport or something…
I had this little crack idea the other day that maybe the mermaids can shapeshift, to appear as someone they’re not, in order to lure their prey into the water. At the time I was thinking it could be a mermaid appearing as Neal, and that makes Emma jump in to try and save him. But it could also be a mermaid appearing as Henry, and that’d do the trick to get Emma in the water too.
I know that dwarves aren’t supposed to fall in love, but does that mean the dwarves are just asexual then?
I’ve always sort of assumed they’re asexual, yes. The only reason Dreamy was able to feel the emotion of romantic love is because his genetic makeup got altered by the fairy dust.
Dwarves aren’t supposed to be able to fall in love. If Grumpy and Nova can’t get it together, then I can’t see any Dwarf getting a relationship storyline.
Archie is an already established character who people love and want to see more of. He may technically be recurring now, but I daresay that most fans consider him one of the main characters. Fans have wanted to see him get a chance at falling in love since the show began. So it wouldn’t be an “in passing” type storyline if they revealed that Archie’s gay by pairing him up with a new, recurring character. It’d be a storyline that lots of viewers were interested in seeing. If they wanted to make his partner Eric, then they could be introducing him as part of Ariel’s storyline right now, and maybe we’ll get an Archie centric in the 2nd half of the season where we see them get together in SB.
I replied to your last paragraph in the other thread, Mickstemp. If Eric does by chance end up being gay, I can definitely imagine them pairing him up with Archie.
I’ve also been suspicious about the short amount of time Gil was in Vancouver for Ariel’s big ep. If Ariel’s gonna be rescuing Eric, it will need to be in Ariel’s centric ep, I just don’t see how they could slip that into any other character’s centric, considering the scene would only involve the two of them. And instead we have pics of Snow soaking wet, on the shoreline, and we know JoAnna was on set that day. One of the crew tweeted a pic from what I assume was that day of shooting, it was another crew member standing on a big rock by a body of water. I think that was a few days before Gil got to town? You’d think if he was gonna be rescued in a similar way to Snow, they’d have shot his similar scene at the same time.
There wasn’t even a detailed casting call for Eric, was there? Didn’t they just leak the news that he was being cast for a recurring role, but not release an actual description of what he’d be like? You make some good points that he’d be sort of redundant if they don’t give him a twist. I’d like to think they’d make him more interesting than they did Prince Thomas, not just a generic, fairytale Prince. Making him gay would certainly give him a point of difference from the usual characterisation for princes.
Going along with your idea of him talking at the ball about how he wishes he didn’t have to live up to the world’s expectations of him, maybe they could have part of that being that everyone is expecting him to choose a princess to marry soon. Don’t recall off the top of my head if that’s a thing in Anderson’s, but it’s mentioned in Disney’s. Maybe this ball will be similar to the one that was held to find Prince Henry a wife. But he’s not interested in marrying a princess, and that could be how they bring his orientation into the story. If our Ariel has no voice, maybe she’s the only person he can talk to about it, because everyone else will cut him off if he tries to talk about how he doesn’t want to marry a princess, but Ariel just listens as he reveals his feelings and frustrations. And she totally understands everyone expecting you to be someone you’re not, because she’s the mermaid who doesn’t wanna kill people.
Like you say, Mickstemp, it’s crack theory, but I genuinely think it could be an interesting twist on the story and a great way for them to introduce an LGBT storyline, which we know is something they do intend to do at some point.
