I’m less curious about the blood and more curious about the ring. Who wears a ring like that, over a pair of gloves? And is this present day, or flashback? She said, “Evil Queen”, which suggests maybe flashback to me.
The YVRShoots person who took those Ariel/Belle pictures said this about yesterday’s filming:
“Wrapped last night at dark after filming a scene of Belle and Ariel (in normal clothes) walking out of Mr. Gold’s.”
Well that’s interesting! I’d expected Ariel to end up in SB, but figured she’d be hitching a ride with the JR crew after Henry’s been saved. So the bit on the beach is her arriving in SB, and then she decides to stay? Hmmmm.

I’m really not that bothered by it that I need an immediate clarification. And even if I did want to desperately ask him how the order of events plays out in 301 in relation to the storm, he wouldn’t answer, because spoilers.

When she’s in the mine you can see the end of the red sleeve under her black coat…
Henry is kidnapped from the mine and they go find him. Hook sails up to the dock and they hop on his boat. There’s no time for a costume change anywhere in there. Couldn’t find a shot of her on the docks that showed the end of a sleeve under her coat, but she’s still got the red scarf.
I think Adam just got confused when he was answering those questions, because it makes no sense. Her having time to change on the boat, before the storm, would make sense.That surprising Rumbelle meeting is gonna be in 302, though.
I just can’t believe that they’d send Belle to NL in those heels. Or that skirt, for that matter. Suppose the heels could come in handy as a weapon. 😛 She wouldn’t get very far walking in them through the jungle though.
Posted somewhere on here the other day that it could make sense for Neal to make the FTL – NL jump in 306, if he was gonna need rescuing from the water by Ariel, (even if she’s human), when he comes out of a portal. Rescuing people from the water is how she rolls, so they could parallel it with a flashback where she did the same thing. Then they could make 307 a Nealfire centric – flashbacks of being taken to Pan’s hideout as a kid, and present day as he heads back there to find Henry.
The storm scene is actually the JR coming out the other side of the bean hole. It’s turbulent because of the whirlpool that the portal creates.
Disagreed. Emma was wearing a coat when they went through the portal and was standing behind Hook. Unless they stop somewhere between SB and NL, i don’t see why Emma would have taken her coat off between the two places. But this is just my opinion!
Agreed. Like I was saying earlier, I think there’s some time between them arriving, and the storm/mermaids. It would explain Hook being in two separate scenes with the key, (one with his jacket, one without), if the original key convo got interrupted by the storm. It’d also allow time for costume changes for both Emma and Regina.
Also, if you look at the bit where Hook’s hook stops the wheel from spinning, it doesn’t look like he was already standing at the wheel, which he would have been if it was as they were coming out of the portal. The hook is his left hand, but it stops a notch on the right side of the wheel. I think he and Emma were talking below deck, then the boat starts rocking, someone calls out from on deck about a storm coming, and as Emma and Hook get on deck themselves, he reaches out to stop the wheel from spinning, before he positions himself behind it properly to ride out the storm.
OMG this show makes me crazy. Did I seriously just spend 5 minutes trying to best explain the logistics of a hook grabbing a wheel, judging on a half second clip? 😆
I could buy that explanation. Have never been convinced she’ll be able to change because they’re always saying magic comes with a price so I dunno that it’d really fit if she made a deal to be human, but still also got to be a mermaid, getting the best of both worlds. But if they do intend to have her transform back and forth, then the skirt would make sense.
I approve of today’s Ginny pic MUCH more than I did yesterday’s!
Re Ariel on land: but she’s wearing some very odd shoes, as if they need to be CGIed later. And this is between takes as she is wearing a coat so it could be that she will be resting in the water during the actual filming.
Could be. Though the pic where JoAnna’s touching the bag almost looks like it could be an actual rehearsal, maybe? And I’d hope that even if she’s lying down, she wouldn’t have the tail as well as that skirt, because it’d be overkill. The skirt looks to me like something HumanAriel might wear when she’s bumming around in NL. There does appear to be something funky around the bottom of that skirt, but I can’t tell if it’s something on her feet or just some other special effects gadget of some description. Tried zooming in on it before, but it’s just a blur. Whatever it is seems to be poking out from under the skirt though, and her legs seem to be well and truly under the skirt, and I dunno if her feet would poke out that far? Maybe they’re little fans to blow the strands of the skirt up a bit to make them look floaty?
