ParticipantDoesn’t surprise me, really. They’ll want Ariel to be the focus of her debut ep, so it makes sense if they stick PP back in the toy box for this one so he doesn’t steal any of her thunder.

ParticipantSidney has seen Regina at her worst and still loves her.
He loves her evil, though. She gives into that and falls in love with him in return and all hope of redemption for her is gone. It’d be a similar dynamic to Rumple and Lacey, (or Cora).

ParticipantAs far as Belle and Sidney go, I’d love to say they have brotp potential (BeautyMirror?), but seeing Giancarlo say he “still is very much in love with the Queen” makes me think that if he gets out of the dungeon, and discovers Regina is gone, he’s not gonna wanna work with Belle if she’s attempting to run SB in Regina’s place. If he could get past that blind love he has for her, he could see that he and Belle have some stuff in common they could bond over. But if he’s still devoted to Regina, then Belle is just the Dark One’s girlfriend who Regina used to hold prisoner, and how dare she be running around SB free as a bird, trying to take Regina’s place, while she’s off God knows where in some kind of danger.

ParticipantYeah they’d have to get him back regularly if they were gonna make him Regina’s love interest. They’ve already done their “love” story anyway, and it was totally dysfunctional. Spoilers have suggested that Regina’s next love interest will be a genuine option for actual love, “if only she can let love in”, and there’s no way Sidney and Regina could have a healthy, loving relationship, given their history.

ParticipantYeah, it’s very cool that he’s taking the time to learn about the whole show. He also sent a tweet about wanting to get caught up on Supernatural, and he was only in one ep of that. I like his style. 🙂

ParticipantFrom an interview with Giancarlo…
In addition to shooting Season 2 of Revolution, a return to the land of fairy tales is coming for Esposito, who shot a return to Once Upon A Time the week after this interview was conducted. “I’m excited to go back,” he says. “I think we have a character who still is very much in love with the Queen and doesn’t understand why he’s been in the dungeon for so long. I’m excited to be the Mirror. The Mirror, to me, is a little bit slicker than Sidney, and gives us clues into the eventuality of what relationships could be on that show. So, I can’t tell you too much, but I hope to keep returning to that show, if we can have it work out.”
I hope that his reference to being locked up in the dungeon means we’re gonna see him in SB as well as in FTL. Honestly, I’d been worried that his scene helping Regina see Snow waking up would be his only scene, which would have been a bit of a disappointing comeback, but this interview gives me some hope.

Participant😆 There have been a few times when I’ve thought Emma’s jeans were so tight they just looked plain uncomfortable and I’ve wondered how she can even move in them. Love that he’s getting himself educated on the show.

ParticipantI think it’d work well if every magical land has at least 1 palantir-inspired seeing stone so that the various characters of status in the various realms had a way to communicate. Blue could have one, Triton could have one, PP could have one, Wicked Witch could have had one until Jefferson stole it, but perhaps there was also another one in Oz, and the Wizard ended up with it, brought it back with him to our world, and now I’ve come full circle back to the Wizard being in charge at THO in our world, using his seeing stone to chat with PP in NL.

ParticipantMaybe PP has one? Going back to the whole palantir thing from LotR, there were several of them, and they could speak to each other (http://www.glyphweb.com/arda/p/palantiri.html). Maybe that’s how PP kept in touch with our world, and Bae saw it happen some time during his confinement to NL. So he sees this thing in his father’s castle and wonders if it does the same thing. If he’s seen PP use his, maybe he’ll have some idea of how to make it work.

ParticipantThe thing for me with that quote is that Rumple just says he’s been running away for a long time, he doesn’t say, “he’s been running away from me for a long time,” which means I’m not convinced that there was an actual cat and mouse game between them over the years. About 300 years ago, Bae went down a portal to a Land Without Magic. Rumple spent the next 300 years trying to get to the Land Without Magic. Even without any other knowledge of what happened to Bae during that time, Rumple’s statement that, “he’s been running away for a long time now,” still makes sense, just because it’s been 300 years since they parted.
