ParticipantThat’s what his Gil is short for, his middle name is Gilbert (first name is actually Mark). He does seem rather sweet, judging by that tweet. He’s gonna make me feel guilty for having theorised that Eric could be dead in present day. 😛

ParticipantHere’s the sword that Bae used when he confronted Hook…

Bigger version: http://screencapped.net/tv/onceuponatime/displayimage.php?album=1449&pid=1657385#top_display_mediaTHAT blade does look to me like it could be the one that Emma’s carrying around with her Starbucks. Whether or not it’s the same thing she’s holding in the other pic, I’m inclined to say it’s not that long, but agree that the angle could be deceiving.
Whatever the weapon is that he’s given her in that scene though, I do think it’s something he once gave to Bae. Hook is speaking, and Emma’s holding it carefully and listening intently. That means there’s some information that goes along with that particular weapon. That would fit with something along the lines of, “I gave this to Baelfire once, during the short time he lived on the ship, and I taught him how to fight.”
Then Hook will smile sadly at the memory and I’ll collapse in a pile of FEELS. And Emma will look at it and have a moment, because she believes Neal is dead, and here’s an object that he touched and she’s touching it too, and I’ll officially be a puddle of FEELS on the floor.

ParticipantWORD to all of that RG & slurpeez, (saw your posts just now when I was about to finally post mine, good thing I checked, though mine might be a bit repetitive in places now).
I’m seriously bummed we didn’t get any present day CaptainFire interaction. Why did homey have to go and break his leg on that particular day?!
It is not “stealing”, so much as it is about crossing emotional lines. Hook has a relationship with Neal, and even though Emma doesn’t know that yet, Hook knows it. And though they both are unaware that Neal is alive, we know and the writers know it.
Adam tweeted the DVD deleted scenes should be canon–which means, Hook knows Neal might have dumped Tamara for Emma. He also likely knew Tamara didn’t love Neal, and that Tamara and Greg were a thing.
Yes. Back in the day, Hook begged Bae to stay on the JR. Colin has confirmed that it was a sincere offer, and if Bae had wanted to stay, Hook would have done whatever was necessary to keep him safe. Now, granted, Hook stood by and let Neal get used by Tamara, but given their previous relationship, Hook wouldn’t have achieved anything positive by approaching Neal to tell him that Tamara was using him. It’s actually similar to Neal’s mindset when he didn’t rush to see Emma. “I screwed her/him over, they feel totally betrayed by me, they won’t want to see me, let alone speak to or listen to me.”
Hook hadn’t counted on Bae’s life having been in danger though, and frankly, Tamara’s lucky she didn’t get a hook through the neck when she so casually said she’d killed him. That was the kid he’d wanted to be a father to that she was talking about. That’s Milah’s blood that she was talking about. Just because he’s agreed to not kill Rumple any more (for the moment at least) that doesn’t mean the love he’s carried around for Milah for 300 years has evaporated, and by extension, it doesn’t mean the affection he had for Bae back then has evaporated either. Once Hook discovers that Bae is indeed still alive, he’ll be hugely relieved, and won’t want to cause the kid any more pain.
There’ll inevitably be friction if CS have a close friendship, because Neal won’t like Emma being close to someone he has an unsavoury history with and doesn’t trust. Meanwhile, Hook will be hoping at the very least for a civil relationship with Neal. Emma will be stuck in the middle, loving Neal, but also feeling a strong connection to Hook. It’s still triangle-ish, even if CS never get romantic.
I’m curious to see how Hook will relate to Emma from here on in. We’ve only seen them interact for 2 seconds since he found out she’s the mother of Bae’s son, of Milah’s grandson. I wonder if he’ll see her in a new light now, have a new respect for her, and dial back the flirting?
Also, we know that Hook is all about a man fighting for what he wants, and we’ve had comments in interviews that say that Neal is gonna fight like hell to get back to Emma and Henry. If a guy is shot, falls through a portal to a land with no medical help, and no easy portals to get out, and yet he still manages to survive and find a way back…that’s the kind of dedication that Hook will respect.
I know that I look at all of this stuff with the SF endgame shipper bias, but I also look at it as a big fan of Hook. I’m really looking forward to seeing how he evolves in S3, and the way I view him, the belief I have that he can change for the better, I don’t really see him wanting to stand in the way of two people he cares about wanting to be together.

ParticipantI agree it would be super sneaky, but then how would you explain the adult seer? She was burdened by her seeing ability and freely gave the “gift” to Rumple so that she could be free of it. Then she died.
She appeared to die, (doesn’t necessarily mean she did). After showing and telling Rumple the info he needed for the plan for the Curse to move ahead, (Blue was the one who put the idea about a Curse in his head to begin with, right after Bae went down the beanhole, the Seer basically just confirmed it). If it was Blue tricking him and the whole thing was an act, then it makes sense that she’d shapeshift herself into an adult if time had passed since Rumple had seen the Seer as a child.

ParticipantAdam tweeted just yesterday…
@HeckL45 @May_Jacks we love the network, but promotion is their job, making the show is ours. Two different things.

Stuff in the media right now will have CS together, which is inevitable, because they’re in the same world, and working together. ABC have no SF stuff to pimp right now, even if they wanted to. It’s probably why the triangle has been talked up in the media recently. Not like they can use SF stuff to promo the start of the season, so push the hype about the other ship instead, so they’ll have something to allude to in promos.
But K&H know how things are gonna change once Neal is back on the scene, because they know the plan they have for the story, so they know that eventually, SF and their fans will get their shot at promo and togetherness too.

ParticipantBack when Manhattan aired, I commented that the YoungSeer’s voice almost sounded like Blue’s to me. AdultSeer’s voice didn’t though, so I ruled it out. Though I did also find it slightly suspicious that the Seer’s eyes were bright blue of all colours.
Anyway, even though I basically wrote the idea off, it could be a fun twist if it turns out that the Seer was just a shapeshifting Blue, making Blue the origin of the prophecy, the one who told it to Rumple, maybe even told it to PP, and therefore is the one who set all this mess in motion. Would be so super sneaky.

ParticipantWas reading a tumblr post on that very topic just before. Lemme see if I can find it again…*searches*
The Blue Fairy and precognition
Twice we’ve seen incidents where it’s implied that Blue can see events beyond beyond what is currently happening. The first is just before she grants Jiminy’s wish to become a cricket, when she says that Geppetto will grow up to face many challenges. The second incident is a bit more subtle and much easier to miss.
When the Blue Fairy counsels Dreamy to end his relationship with Nova, she tells him that if Nova becomes a godmother and he returns to the mines they will bring untold joy to the world. Interesting words, those. Some people might assume that because the Blue Fairy said that because fairy dust is vitally important in that it powers the world, that’s why she wanted him there — to mine the special diamonds. But if you’re the kind of person who believes the Blue Fairy can see the future, then that moment takes on a whole new meaning.
If Dreamy hadn’t gone back to the mines, he he wouldn’t have ended up imprisoned eventually. And if he hadn’t ended up in King George’s dungeon, Snow would never have escaped — or if she had, she would have become a far darker character without Grumpy there to slow her down enough for Charming to get to her. Or worse, died.
It’s not surprising that the Blue Fairy wouldn’t want that to happen. She was a confidant of Queen Eva, after all, and likely the family’s patron fairy. And while she may not have been able to see all the details surrounding it (we know how tricky the future can be to read from Rumpelstiltskin’s experience), she likely knew enough to realize that Snow’s child would be important to the world one day — and that Snow wouldn’t have survived to fulfill her destiny of giving birth to the savior if Grumpy hadn’t been there to rescue her from King George’s dungeon (remember, Stealthy was only there to get his brother out).
Suffice to say, if Dreamy had run off with Nova to sail around the world, the world itself could have come to a very bad end. Grumpy’s actions indirectly led to Emma’s birth — the savior who broke the curse to end all curses, and reunited people with their true selves and their loved ones in the process. Untold joy, indeed.

ParticipantWhenever I think about SwanFire, which has been happening a fair bit lately, I always seem to end up with warm, meant to be, fuzzies. 🙂 I’ve decided that whenever the show ends, it should end with a fairytale book closing, the title on the cover being, “The Saviour and the Thief”, SwanFire’s very own fairytale which is being written right in front of our eyes.
Just saw this tumblr post that everyone should see, especially anyone who has been wondering if fandom noise might influence K&H…
Brief reminder that Adam & Eddy could have screwed Swanfire for life if they wanted to. They could have given Neal a REAL fiancee – that is, someone he felt genuine love for, and someone who loved him back to a certain extent. They didn’t. The whole thing: a setup. They could have given him a rotten reason to have abandoned Emma and Henry – they didn’t. In their words, it was a “sacrifice”. They made it NOBLE. They could have ended their love story right there, in that beach scene. They didn’t. Instead, they sent the dude through a portal after he and Emma admitted their feelings for each other. They could have killed Neal. They didn’t.
They had plenty of chances to sink that ship.
They made it stronger.
These. Are. The facts.

ParticipantInteresting sidenote, but Ella isn’t a royal, so why did her FGM who was patron to King George, also want to help Ella? I didn’t quite get how FGM’s are assigned and what it means if they are patrons to various royal families.
I could see BF, knowing limited resources of magic, conserving her FGM’s to “important” people who will be rulers or might marry into rulers, or something like that.
Who knows how many FGMs there are. I’ve been thinking of them as an elite, exclusive club that a fairy can be elevated to, so there aren’t so many of them around that every family in FTL is assigned their own, exclusive FGM.
What if in the FTL flashback Regina goes to Tinker Bell, her fairy-godmother, after her marriage to King Leopold because she wishes to get pregnant with a child of her own, hoping it will fill her life with love? However, maybe Regina is infertile, and so Tink promises to one day bless her with an adopted child. That would help to explain why Regina is smiling from ear to ear and walking arm in arm with Tinker Bell like they’re best friends.
Flash-forward to 2001 when Henry was born and Tink, working for the PP in our world, helps arrange for baby Henry to be brought from Phoenix to Storybrooke. In that way, Tinker Bell is looking out for Regina by eventually granting her wish of adopting a child.
That’s an interesting idea. They wouldn’t even have to bring infertility or adoption into it, specifically. Regina could just be lamenting how she’ll never have a child of her own, because she’s trapped in a loveless marriage, and Tink can tell her that one day, she will be blessed with a child.

ParticipantWhat’s with the low res pics. First the one of Tink, and now this. How are we supposed to properly pick apart low res images?! 😛

The end in her right hand looks potentially pointy to me. And the way her right hand is holding it, it sorta looks like maybe the metal is twisted, (like a screw) and her hand is resting in the curve of it. But that could all just be because the lighting is making me see stuff. There’s definitely a bit hanging down in the middle though.
ETA that the general tumblr opinion seems to be that it’s a sword. Potentially one that belonged to Bae.
Maybe the dangling bit is a strap on the scabbard, kinda like this…
Other end of the dangling bit connects up with the end of the scabbard that’s in her left hand, so you can strap it onto your belt or whatever. In her right hand, is the dagger’s handle, and it’s twisted/shaped to make it easier to grip. Perhaps? (I know this isn’t exactly an important piece of information, but now that it’s bugging me, I’ve gotta figure it out. LOL)I like the idea that it was a weapon Hook had given to Bae, back in the day. This could come immediately after Emma says she’s preparing for a fight, and he could comment about her needing a weapon if she’s gonna be fighting. Then he can give her this dagger, which he’d also given to Bae, and they can have a little bonding moment about how they’ve both lost him.
