ParticipantSB is still vital to the show. Several of you have outlined exactly why, and the potential for it being used in the future, so I don’t feel the need to re-hash the reasons, which all seem obvious IMO.
I am a bit confused about next season though, if the first half of the show is all about the main characters in neverland and then half way through they get back to SB isn’t that the same story we had in season two? There must be other surprises in store as I doubt they would just repeat themselves.
I think it’ll be different in the sense that the threat is more far reaching this time. In S2 it was case of saving and bringing back 2 people who were stuck in FTL, and there were also 2 baddies, who each had very specific goals to get to 1 person each. I think the repercussions of NL events and battling with PP, will involve a threat for the whole of SB from THO. This may be the “final battle” that Rumple spoke of.

ParticipantNot likely to be in the past, considering all of Belle’s time in the past, after she met Robin, she was confined to either Rumple’s castle or Regina’s cell, apart from those few days in between when she killed the Yaoguai. There’s no time for Robin to have a 4 episode arc involving Belle in FTL history.

ParticipantRight you are, TheWatcher. Jafar had a twin sister named Nasira: http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/Nasira

ParticipantSo instead of Eric, I think Liam is Captain Ahab. Instead of hunting Moby Dick, he is after the Krakken.
This whole theory intrigues me. I like it all, (nice catch with the orphan thing).
But just to mess it up a bit, when you mentioned Moby Dick, I remembered how we’ve already seen a whale, so maybe Monstro = Moby? There has been a theory floating around for a while that Pinocchio’s Pleasure Island could be NL. The encounter with Monstro happens when Geppetto is saving Pinocchio from Pleasure Island. Maybe Captain Liam Ahab is trying to find a way to NL, (which is how Hook knows it exists), and MonstroMoby attacks?
I still love the idea of the magical squid being a Kraken though.

ParticipantI was thinking of it this way, once people meet Red, they don’t have quite the same attitude about were-wolves just being monsters. So if Hook had met Ariel, he wouldn’t dismiss all mermaids as monsters in the water, which is how his line came off.
Whatever else in my headcanon has constantly changed, one thing that stayed the same for the most part is that I don’t think he knows she was a mermaid. I imagine him having been friends with her as a human the last time he was in NL, but not finding out until present day that she was a mermaid, and him discovering that messes up their relationship, but he eventually comes to terms with it and accepts her for who she is.

ParticipantAt the moment, I’m thinking he was just taken there as a teen. Not necessarily at 17 though. Maybe the magic in NL is weakening and it’s making people begin to slowly age?

ParticipantLOL Figured you’d like that one, slurpeez. 😉
Just saw this on tumblr:
SO. I just talked to one of my sources in the business (Mama’s got people in the entertainment news/gossip field). The reason that entertainment sites aren’t running those new promo pics as “official promos” is that they are from LAST SEASON. The first two photos have a hook superimposed in (for the “get hooked” thing….not for shipping purposes). The third pic with an apple just had last year’s date removed.

ParticipantI don’t have any hard and fast theories for what I think Tink’s deal is. But PP had to get to NL somehow. Perhaps Tink took him? Why would Tink take him? Because her boss Blue gave her the task? If so, why would Blue want PP in NL?

ParticipantIt’s like a HookedQueen shipper hacked the official FB page and put up some of their fanart. Nothing about it looks professional or relates to S3.

ParticipantYes, that’s what’s been discussed a bit recently in relation to Killian becoming a pirate, that perhaps it was a scenario similar to the Dread Pirate Roberts from The Princess Bride.
Ariel can show him that not all mermaids are the same!
YES!
