ParticipantDoes it feel retconny to anyone else that Cora and Regina will be interacting at this point in the timeline? That’s how it’s feeling to me and it bugs.
Young Apprentice or Sorcerer?
Before the press release came out I commented in the promo thread that the guest star list would indicate whether Regina’s shown crushing Robin’s heart, or if it was some other, younger guy, because from what little we saw of his face, looked like it might be someone younger. I’d say this is the guy.

ParticipantAs sickening as this maybe….what if motherhood is what Zelena needs to change? It changed Regina, maybe it can do the same for Zelena
Maybe, but I’d see it more as a thing that they’d do for Regina’s development instead.
She was an evil step mother to a kid she hated and tried to kill her.
Then she was the adoptive mother for the grandson of that kid she’d hated, and due to the circumstance that is SB and Regina trying to keep the truth from Henry, they ended up having a strained relationship for a while and she wasn’t exactly the perfect mother.
Third time’s the charm and she’s again gonna be a mother to a child she’s not the biological mother of, but this time she knows where the baby came from from the getgo (no parentage surprises like with Henry). And she can make the choice to love the child despite having it thrust upon her by deeds committed by one of her evil family members (like how she ended up as a mother to Snow).
This time she can make a fully informed choice and have an open and honest relationship with the child from the begining.

ParticipantI would kind of agree with this if they weren’t in NYC. They left Storybrooke for a Land Without Magic. I don’t see any way Robin would have the thought that the little personality quirks “Marian” were related to any type of long con glamour in such a setting.
How did he never see that 6 leaf clover pendant? Wouldn’t that thing likely have to be on a person in order for the spell to work on them? Making a baby typically involves getting all the way naked, which kinda makes a necklace pretty evident. Robin knows what that pendant is because he’s owned and used one himself.

ParticipantYou couldn’t pay me enough to wear that spider shaped brooch at my neck. Lana is braver than I.
-I don’t think that is RH with EQ. Seems a bit too young.
He does look quite fresh faced, so if it’s Sean Maguire he’s had a shave. We’ll see when the press release comes out if there are any other males listed in the guest stars.
-I think that this is the episode where we see how Cora kidnaps Henry Sr /reduces him down to just his heart, and takes him to WL. So I think the flashback is a bit before Regina’s trip to WL to retrieve her father.
Assuming the shot in the promo isn’t cleverly edited, and it really does pan from Regina to Cora in the one shot, Cora’s gotta be using an invisibility something or other, because Regina shouldn’t be hanging out with her during that period of time.

ParticipantNitpick: Where did Lily get the necklace? Had the Apprentice snuck into our world and given it to her at some point? Because the last time she was near her mother, she was inside a freaking egg, so she didn’t take that necklace with her down the portal. (It’s a nitpick because I don’t expect we’ll ever get an answer, if they were gonna clarify it, they’d have done so in this ep.)

ParticipantDidn’t feel like the end to me. Felt like the start of Belle thinking maybe there IS still some tiny bit of good left in him after all. That doesn’t necessarily mean that they’ll get back together, because I’m in the club who thinks he’s likely to die, but if he does, I expect a deathbed reconciliation for them. This scene didn’t feel like the last Rumbelle scene they’re ever gonna do IMO.
The most interesting part of the scene to me was Will’s head being turned aside in the background when Rumple was putting her heart back in. I wanna know what Will was thinking! Was he just diverting his eyes because it was an intimate moment and he felt like he was intruding? Or was it a reaction to what Rumple had said about how Will would look after her, (I’ve said before that I thought Will might have been using Belle to find a way back to WL)?

ParticipantI didn’t read his reaction that way at all. He seemed pretty shocked. And all he said was he couldn’t leave Zelena in NYC, not that he was staying with her.
I went back to re-watch to pinpoint why it rubbed me the wrong way. It’s their choice of words, “I’m sorry, I can’t leave her here.” He’s just found out that the woman who killed his wife has been raping him to make a baby, and the way they worded it “I can’t leave her” just has the wrong connotation IMO. Had they had him say, “I’m sorry, we have to take her with us, because she’s carrying my child,” that would come across differently IMO. That would sound like he’s on Regina’s side, instead of almost sounding sympathetic towards Zelena.
I’m convinced this the pregnancy was all a ploy to get back in Storybrooke so she can get her real happy ending.
If so then it’s risky to fake it when it can so easily be dis-proven. If Regina’s got half a brain, she’ll make Zelena pee on a stick before she agrees to take her back to SB with them.

ParticipantI posted this in another thread, then onceaholic replied with a link to this thread, so I’ll copy and paste what I said in the other thread…
A major premise of this half season makes no sense. We have this event where the darkness was stolen from Emma and put into Lily. So now we see how Lily is compulsively dark, she’s a liar, she’s bad news, because that’s how she was made when the darkness got put into her. The darkness that was taken out of Emma. Yet we still see Emma having the option to go dark or light. Yet Lily apparently doesn’t have that choice. Even though it was a singular even that made each of them the way they are. Like…WUT? And it’s a concept that’s at the centre of this current storyline, and IT DOES NOT COMPUTE AND IT BUGS ME. *HEADDESKING FOREVER*

ParticipantWhat I don’t, fundamentally, get is Robin’s reaction. There is a fine line between acting honorable and being inexplicably not revolted at having been taken advantage of in this way. He just seemed almost fond of her, for crying out loud — and not for a second did he seem to question the veracity of the claim. I mean, she just lied to him about who she is, impersonating his wife, whom she had killed. Wouldn’t the expected reaction be “Prove it?”
Yeah, THAT. They can still fix it if the next episode opens on the same scene and they show more of his reaction as the whole hot mess really sinks in in his head, but I won’t be holding my breath for that. They should have written his initial reaction in a different way.
I dunno if she’s lying. Her plan is to get Robin away from Regina and secure her own happy ending by ruining Regina’s, right? How does being fake!pregnant ensure that happy ending? Being real!pregnant would screw Regina’s happy ending forever. So I reckon it’d make more sense for Zelena to plan to have ALL the sex with Robin that she could, in order to get herself pregnant. That way even if other parts of her plan fall apart, and her secret is revealed, and Regina and Robin want to be together again, Regina’s still gotta live the rest of her life being a mother to the child that Zelena had with Robin, and that’s fun times and happy endings for Zelena.
I don’t WANT her to actually be pregnant, I just think it’d make more sense if she was. But this show and making sense…so maybe there’s still some hope that she’s lying.
