ParticipantLinking to a twitlonger I wrote, because it haz a bad word in it, (I’d copy and paste it without the bad word, but I really feel like the bad word is needed to sufficiently convey my feeling on the subject).

ParticipantAs I was watching it, I actually enjoyed it for the most part. When it was done, the more I thought about it, the more things I found to nitpick, which became things I want to rant about. I’ll limit it to one rant (for now, partly because I’m just full of expletives right now, so can’t really rant sufficiently on this forum)…
A major premise of this half season makes no sense. We have this event where the darkness was stolen from Emma and put into Lily. So now we see how Lily is compulsively dark, she’s a liar, she’s bad news, because that’s how she was made when the darkness got put into her. The darkness that was taken out of Emma. Yet we still see Emma having the option to go dark or light. Yet Lily apparently doesn’t have that choice. Even though it was a singular even that made each of them the way they are. Like…WUT? And it’s a concept that’s at the centre of this current storyline, and IT DOES NOT COMPUTE AND IT BUGS ME. *HEADDESKING FOREVER*

ParticipantRG, (apart from having to watch Once) I hope you had a very Happy Birthday! 🙂

ParticipantIt’d be pretty dark if the story has to be written in evil blood. If it’s the case though, I would assume that that’s just a specific type of “ink” needed if you want to alter the story, and other writers had used more innocent ink to write the stories when they were just recording what happened.

ParticipantI have nothing constructive to add, but just had to say OMG WATCHER YOUR NEW SIG MADE ME LOL.

ParticipantThis is just a nitpick, but it bugged me in the last ep too, and now it’s making me twitchy again…
…DO THEY NOT HAVE HAIR SPRAY, OR MOUSSE, OR SOME SORT OF WHATEVER TO DEAL WITH ALL THOSE FLYAWAY HAIRS BECAUSE IT MAKES HER LOOK SO MESSY AND IT REALLY STANDS OUT WHEN THE REST OF HER LOOKS SO CAREFULLY PUT TOGETHER.Ahem, apologies for the all caps, it’s just that her messy hair is SRSLY bugging me, because it’s something that really shouldn’t be a thing at all if the hair dept are doing their job.

ParticipantHad he not stopped her from running away on her wedding day, the Evil Queen would have never existed, so those villagers, children, and even Graham would still be alive, so he is partially if not half responsible for the monster her became.
If you wanna pinpoint that moment when Rumple stopped Regina from leaving, in my book he bears as much responsibility as Isaac (thank God I don’t need to write the A word anymore) does for stopping Snowing. We all still blame Snowing for having made the stupid choice and done the stupid thing when Isaac had presented them with the option. So by that same reasoning, I’m gonna hold Regina accountable for her choice in that instance as well.
I don’t deny that Rumple was a word-I-can’t-say-here for how he used Jefferson and Victor to manipulate Regina into going full on dark, (“making his monster”), but maybe she wouldn’t have been in a situation where he’d have been able to manipulate her in that way if she hadn’t made the choice to turn around and keep learning magic, instead of sticking to her guns and leaving.
As for my 2c on HeartGate, I think that it’s absurd that someone who had been treated as she had by Regina in the past would willingly give up her entire agency to said person, and put her life in their hands. I also think it’s absurd that Belle would have given the Dagger to Hook. Basically I think they’ve made Belle act pretty stupid recently. So maybe she DID give her consent for Regina to take her heart because unfortunately it’d be in character for her these days.
If Regina just wanted some help from Belle with the Rumple situation, and if Regina trusted Belle, there shouldn’t have really been any need for her to take her heart at all. There aren’t any spare hearts lying around down in Regina’s vault that they could use as a prop? They couldn’t have had that whole scene at the well (not including the part where Belle mentions Will, which really wasn’t necessary) with Belle just being herself? Then, if she and Regina are legit working together, Regina could have stepped out holding any old random heart and pretend that it was Belle’s. Maybe Regina could give it a fake squeeze and Belle could fake being in pain. Or just Regina ordering Belle off home and forget what happened here and Belle walking off like a zombie would have convinced him. The only reason they made Regina have her actual heart was so she could do the juvenile thing of bringing up Will, which frankly, was unnecessary, (not in a “Regina wouldn’t want to be mean to Rumple” way, because of course she would, I mean in a “did we really need that as a vital part of the scene, no it was superfluous” way.
And in the same thread why didn’t Rumple just talk to Regina about going along with his plan to dupe the Wicked Witch? Or you know, telling Robin that his wife is dead and Zelena is Marian? Those are all choices he could have made.
Because that would involve more scenes with characters actually interacting on a personal/emotional level, which takes time away from ZOMG SHINY SPLODEY TWISTY MAGIC SEECRIT PLOT HAPPENINGZ.

ParticipantThe blue mist just makes me think there must be a connection to Blue Fairy.
The voice says that Emma and Lily are still entwined, just like they were before and always will be, sooooo that nonsense with Snowing really was all for nothing then, considering the girls were already connected before that, and what they did didn’t remove Emma’s ability for darkness after all.
As irritating as I’ve found the stuff with Snowing and Emma recently, I must say that the way JMo delivers that line about ending Lily if she touches her parents made quite an impact.

ParticipantOn a different type of show, Cruella may have ended up having some scenes with the shrink. Instead of just hanging out with his dog.

ParticipantIf anyone happens to find a random eye on the ground, it’s mine, because I rolled them so hard after that line from Emma about how honest Hook’s been about who he is, that they rolled right outta my head.
(PS. Someone made a great vid for my recently sunk Flutter ship on Arrow , and now I am NOT OK all over again. #nevershippingagain)
