I don’t think is Robin Hood, they are going to be in NL for awhile SB is going to be on the back burner.
Just because NL will be the main focus, that doesn’t mean SB and everyone in it will be completely ignored while the NL storyline is happening. And just because the character who will be Regina’s love interest is being introduced early on, that doesn’t automatically mean that their love story will happen early on as well.
We may well see SB in 302, because we know for sure that we’re seeing Belle in 302. If she’ll appear in NL somehow, it probably means she’s doing something in SB and we’ll see it. RH is guaranteed 4 eps, and a story arc involving Belle. I’d expect to have SB and Belle referenced at least 4 times before the rest get back from NL. Those 4 eps can be used to establish RH’s character, (as well as appearing in SB, he could also appear in FTL flashbacks, like I suspect he may in 302, because the actor was in town when they were shooting that ep, and it’s a Snowing ep, and it’s been implied that Snow knew RH).
Like I said in my previous post, I don’t think they’ll give Regina a romance while she’s in NL. It wouldn’t be believable IMO that she’d get interested in a guy which would distract her from saving Henry. Saving Henry is all she cares about in the immediate future. I don’t think it should be assumed that just because her future love interest is introduced early on, that that automatically translates to her interacting with him early on.
If Regina arrives back in SB some time around mid-season (or shortly after), and by then we’ve seen RH’s 4 eps to establish him as a character in his own right, they could then have them interact and maybe actually hook up towards the end of the season. It would pace out the progress for Regina’s character journey and growth at a believable rate.
I love how they added in ‘or she’ so that they didn’t piss off the Swan Queen shippers XD
I’ve noticed some stuff on tumblr recently where people are planning to ship her with Tink. I’m all for crackships (obviously), got no problem with same sex ships, read into and interpret subtext all you want. But I honestly don’t know where people get the idea that Regina being a lesbian (or bi) is ever gonna be canon, and there do seem to be some people out there who believe that she’ll ultimately end up with a woman as her canon partner. If Regina was anything other than straight, they’d have blatantly, canonically shown us that by now…and they haven’t.

Having confirmation that we’ll meet her love interest “very early on in the season” just makes me think even more that it’ll be RH, because we know the actor arrived in Vancouver around the time they were shooting ep 2.
Regina’s goal at the start of the season is to find Henry. That’s her sole focus, she’s not interested in romance, and I’d be surprised if they wrote a romance for her while she’s in NL. Once Henry is saved, and they all get back to SB, that will be when they’ll start exploring the future focus of her character, which will involve the new love interest.
From what we’ve heard about RH having storyline with Belle, that sounds like he must be in SB. They could use his 4 ep arc with Belle to establish his character, and then get him involved with Regina as the season progresses. It would be a natural progression for both characters, instead of trying to force in an unnecessary and unbelievable romance plot for Regina when she’s already got enough other stuff going on in NL trying to rescue her son.
ETA that I just clicked the link to read the full article, and I see that where they wrote, “Does anyone else think she could be paired with him?” the “him” is a link to their story on Sean Maguire being cast as RH. Everyone pile on the RegalHood ship, there’s still plenty of room right up front. 😉

and waaaaaaay back before S2 ended I hypothesized that THO in our world was being run by Dorothy but her reveal won’t be until the end of the season. That would be a nice way to set up Oz for S4.
THO being involved with Oz is still one of my fave little crack theories. Back when everyone was analysing Greg’s license plate, my fave interpretation of it was the one relating to Oz. If it eventually turns out that he is tied to Oz in some way, like through the Wizard and Dorothy being involved with THO, I’ll be excited! I’d still sorta love for Grandma to be Dorothy, but I’m thinking if there’s anything to be revealed about Grandma, it’ll come in the first half of the season, and if there are Oz characters to be revealed, it won’t be until the second half.
Plus, remember August had a Kansas license plate on his bike, meaning that he’d spent a bit of time there at some point. Maybe that’s how the HO got a trace initially on August.
Oooo, interesting! I just love it when crack theories can be merged. August was a recruit of THO. THO is run by Oz. August’s plate is from Kansas. Undeniable proof that it’s all true! 😉
I’m favouring the connection being Regina, just because Tink’s casting call was for 303, which we now know is Regina centric.
Saw it as I was casually scrolling through tumblr, and there was big, bold font saying: “Tink’s Connection Revealed!” and I sat bolt upright and got excited. Then I read the article, and, oh, she has a history with Hook? Gee, never woulda guessed that one! 😛
I think it’ll either be that she gave Snow the dark fairy dust, or that she was involved with orchestrating Henry’s adoption, which connects her to Regina.
theOUATspoiler: Can you ask the Once Upon a Time creators for a clue to who Tinkerbell has the special connection with that they mentioned at Comic Con?
Because we’re in such a magical mood, we’re going to sprinkle a little extra fairy dust on this answer! We recently caught up with the enchanted Once Upon a Time creators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz and they spilled that the newly cast Tinkerbell will have a connection to not one, but two characters aboard the Jolly Roger! (Cue the applause!) The fellas revealed that the iconic fairy and our swoon-worthy Captain Hook have a complicated Neverland history together, but we’re still left guessing at Tink’s other tie-in. So who could it be? The obvious choice would be that she’s in Rumplestilskin’s magical Rolodex, but we think it’s going to be a bit more twisted than that. (Perhaps she’s Charming’s ex-girlfriend?! We kid, we kid!)
I guess I’m just not sold on the idea that PP is involved with the book – I feel like that reveal would be left for later, not season 3. Unless I missed A and E saying it would be revealed this season? I don’t think EVERYONE is working for PP, just GOAT.
The way I’m looking at it, the book was a vital step in the plan that allowed PP to achieve his endgame – getting Henry.
If Henry never got the book, he’d never have figured out the truth, he’d never have gone to get Emma, the Curse never would have been broken, and PP’s employees GOAT wouldn’t have been able to get into SB in order to kidnap Henry for him. So I reckon that book has to have been created and planted by someone who wanted PP’s endgame to be achieved.
