ParticipantCan’t find where I read it now. This is why I should never close browser tabs! Think it was from the day when fans were hanging out at the set, and there were chairs set up for Lana, Colin, etc, and someone who was there mentioned PP being there too. People who have been at those outdoor shoots already knew that Robbie was playing PP before the info got leaked, they weren’t saying his name, but they were saying they knew who it was, which means he’s been on set at the same time as the JR6 actors who have been around for the outdoor shoots.
ETA, that I found it. I believe this was the night of shooting where Robbie tweeted that he wasn’t done until 4am, (this person mentions Lana leaving the set at about 2:30am, while others were still working):

ParticipantSilvermist = Jasmine? Though it doesn’t mention her as being recurring, and I’d think Jasmine would be, (of course, maybe she will be and the casting call just doesn’t mention it). The 60 year old imprisoned by Jafar could be her father?
FWIW, Silvermist is actually the name of a Disney Fairy, and she looks sorta Jasmine-y with the black hair and greeny-blue clothing, so I could buy it as a code name.

ParticipantJust went to check up on some Dwarf tweets. Sure seems like we’ll be seeing them soon:

ParticipantAs for Pleasure Island, I always took Thailand as August’s substitution for Pleasure Island, but you never know with this show.
I think of Thailand as being his Pleasure Island 2.0. We’ve seen Pinocchio and Geppetto on a boat trying to escape Monstro, which traditionally comes after Pinocchio’s visit to Pleasure Island, so I’m assuming Pleasure Island happened in Onceiverse history.
I’m kinda sorta on board with the theory that Pinocchio went to NL. But if Grace is around too, then that suggests a SB scene. I was gonna say that this could be another indication of flashbacks to Henry’s adoption, but Pinocchio wasn’t in SB then.
Unless Grace is gonna be seen in SB flashbacks and Pinocchio is gonna be seen in NL flashbacks?

ParticipantAck…this is quickly becoming headcanon. Please, someone try to stop it from happening!
😆 This is totally what my brain did with the Belle/Tinker Bell crack theory. Welcome to my world. BWAHAHAHAAA. 😉
Seriously though, I do kinda like this Rumple’s brother theory. How trippy would it be if they meet, and PP is Rumple’s older brother, and it turns out that Peter had either run away or been taken away as a child, and when he came home, he saw his parents with BabyRumple, and then feeling all rejected and replaced, Peter went to live in NL.
I am thinking though that we may have seen as much Whale as we’re going to with that bit in GMSB at comic con. I wanted more on the science/magic story and definitely see ways for them to do it, but the actor has a recurring role on another show, and seems to be getting guest spots elsewhere. There are enough other story leads for them to chase then to spend loads of time on a more minor character like Whale. I just feel bad to see the character’s place in the story amount to such a golfclap of an end, after spending last summer wondering so hard who in the FTL he was.
David Anders always seems to be guest starring on some show or other. I do think they probably had more planned for him in S2, before they changed direction mid-season. We know they were planning more for Red too, and that that was gonna involve Frankenwolf, so it stands to reason that they had something more in mind for Victor’s development too. I’m keeping every available appendage crossed that they can line up the scheduling for both characters in S3. It really would be a waste if Victor’s not involved at all with any furthering of the science vs magic storyline if THO will be seen again, (which I assume they will be).
Well the guess is the role the young actor is playing would be flashbacks only, so whatever villain the Jr6 are facing is not a young boy but something else. Maybe Tink, maybe a CGI monster.
Wasn’t there a spoiler somewhere that mentioned Robbie Kay was shooting with the JR6 actors? Don’t recall if Rumple was specifically mentioned, but I’m sure all the rest were, and if they’re with PP in present day, PP and Rumple cannot be the same person.
but he was a good man before being the dark one. a very good man. which is way I get very surprised that people consider Henry the son of both dark and light magic.
I don’t get it when people imply that Henry is the product of light and dark magic in a biological sense. I get it in the sense that he was raised by the EQ though. He’s got light magic in his nature and dark magic in his nurture.
I was actually thinking that the story of pp as we know it doesn’t happen until the present and the backstory is only of pp being IN neverland living among the Indians, the mermaids, and the fairies, but without hook at all or with a different pirate (hook’s father possibly) going in and out of neverland
But we have seen Hook in NL during the time of PP. He handed Bae over to PP by giving him to the Lost Ones. At that time, Rumple was an adult in FTL, so he couldn’t also be a young (looking) PP in NL.
Rumple had fathered Bae, and lost him down the portal, and then Bae ended up in the custody of PP. Without some sort of cyclical time warping whatever going on, I don’t see how Rumple could be PP. Also, why would Rumple have dedicated centuries to perfecting the Curse, if he’d found Bae in NL?

ParticipantWould Ariel be fascinated with humans that are living in NL? So far as we know, NL is not a happy place and neither are the boys living there. Even the Lost ones are enslaved.
Maybe they got her curious enough that she found a way to sneak through to FTL to see if there were other, more interesting humans elsewhere? Then she found herself stuck in FTL and went to bug Regina to help her get back home? Maybe that’s how Regina found out about NL?
Even if we don’t get Ariel’s full story immediately, I hope they don’t make us wait too long to find out which land she’s from.
Sorry Phee — I can’t remember… and I could be confusing it with what they said about Tinkerbell…but I could’ve sworn it was in reference to the promo clip with the Little Mermaid. They said something like “how she shows up” will be a surprise. Of course, I read something later that said despite the promo clip, she’ll actually be in Neverland… so who knows. I guess that’s why I thought maybe…maybe she has a way to go back and forth between the two worlds. Afterall – Peter can. And Tink can (maybe?)
There were so many interviews, it’s easy to get stuff mixed up and not remember where you heard what. 😆 Anyway, if PP can just fly to other lands without needing a portal, he’s just gotta fly high enough, then it could very well be that you can just swim to other lands without needing a portal, you’ve just gotta swim deep enough.
Phee
ParticipantExciting! 🙂 Hopefully we’ll get some spoilery tidbits.

ParticipantCool, thanks for getting that clarified. I’ve lost track of how long they’ve been filming for, but figured they’re either on the tail end of 302 or the start of 303. So we’re still in the Snowing ep with the basket of apples.
Phee
ParticipantThat’s what I’m thinking. It could be the perfect timing for them to show those adoption flashbacks if Regina is searching for her son in NL, who has been taken away by THO, and parallel that with showing how THO had a hand in bringing her son to her in SB.
Phee
ParticipantThey also said she’ll have a connection to Storybrook that’s a surprise.
Do you happen to remember which of the frillions of interviews that was mentioned in? I’m drawing a blank on hearing them say that.
So my theory — I think mermaids have the ability to travel to other worlds without the need of a portal…by diving in the deepest depths of the oceans, they can reach another world. There is no way a non-mermaid could survive such a trip and, thus, everyone else needs a portal.
Like Josephine mentioned, we’ve tossed that idea around a bit before, with worlds being connected by the water. I think there’s gotta be some point where worlds actually touch each other. According to Jefferson…
Jefferson: A real world. How arrogant are you to think yours is the only one? There are infinite more. You have to open your mind. They touch one another, pressing up in a long line of lands.
So I think it’s entirely plausible that there’s some physical nexus point, so to speak, which is the point where the crossover is possible. Bae went down a hole in the ground and fell out of mid air in another world. The Shadow flew towards a certain point in the sky and crossed over. Hook’s ship went under the water and came out in another world. Maybe the squid with the magic ink, (I keep going back and forth on whether I think their Ursula will be a half squid half humanoid creature like in the movie, or if the squid will be a separate being), is essentially a guardian of the gateway between the worlds at the deepest point of the ocean? But if you can’t get to that point of your own accord, that’s when you need a portal. That’s why Hook could only get to NL through a portal, instead of just flying towards a star like the Shadow could.
Perhaps Ariel was preoccupied with humans enough to explore other worlds whereas most mermaids just stay in their home in Neverland?
This is something else I’ve wondered about, which world does Ariel actually come from? Because if she’s gonna be fascinated with the human world, she’d be far more exposed to it if she lived in FTL, as opposed to NL, which is probably more primitive and sparsely populated. But we’ve had Wendy say that there are mermaids in NL. So are there potentially separate populations living in both worlds? Or, as you suggest, is it just Ariel who is the little explorer who dares to go to another world to see humans, (I’d sorta like that because it’d show her adventurous spirit).
