I think the Oz references were for a reason so Dorothy having links to the HO would make sense.

Said it before and will say it again: “There’s no place like Home Office.” A Dorothy connection would be good stuff.

I’ve wondered if Tamara’s “grandma” could be an adult Dorothy, and head of THO in our world. I still haven’t reconciled the whole, “time runs perfectly parallel between worlds” stuff in my head, because I don’t get how these characters’ stories have been in our world for 100s of years if they only happened 30 odd years ago, but anyway…

Keb’s t-word suggests that Jefferson and Rumple’s conversation about the slippers was about 17 years pre-Curse. Add 28 Curse years and you get 45. If they make their Dorothy 16ish when she was in Oz, she’d be 60ish in present day in our world.

I’d been more confident of Grandma being involved in THO before the season finale aired, and figured we’d get a reveal of it in the finale if it was the case, because I figured that postponing a callback to Tamara’s photo until season 3 would lessen its impact as casual viewers would be all, “There was some photo with an old lady in it that we briefly saw in an ep forever ago? Meh.” So when we didn’t get that reveal, I momentarily wrote the idea off.

But in season 3, I suspect we’ll see THO trying to invade SB again. They know exactly where it is, so even if Belle manages to get the cloaking spell working, THO could find a way to break in. Maybe they already have a way, always have, they just hadn’t used it before because PP didn’t want SB infiltrated until just the right time so he could get Henry.

If THO are coming back, it would tie them in nicely if the person doing it is someone who already has an established relationship with GOAT, and the only person we’ve seen who would fit that bill, is Grandma. If they’re gonna expand her role, it would make her more interesting if she’s a familiar character. Females they’ve hinted at previously who have contact with our world and a magical land = Dorothy.

Also, if Grandma is as bad… as Granny, that showdown in SB could be EPIC.

If there’s another Snowing baby, ideally I’d like it to come right at the end of the show’s run. The show began with them having baby Emma and having to send her away, so it would be a fitting bookend to see them have another baby when they’re finally settled down in a stable home and they can actually raise the child. And they all lived happily ever after…

As far as real life pregnancies, both Lana and Ginny are in their mid 30s, so I imagine if they’re gonna have kids, they’d be wanting to do it soon. If they were gonna hide it, Lana would need a body double for FTL flashbacks, coz there’s no hiding a baby bump in an EQ dress. Present day stuff though, they often wear big coats, so hiding a bump may not be too hard of a task.

My problem with Neverland being the Home Office, is wondering how Greg and Tamara were able to communicate from our world to the home office (Neverland)?

I don’t think they did. Dunno that they were even aware of a NL connection until they got orders to take Henry there. I think they have a boss at THO in our world who they were working for, and that is who has the line of communication to NL…

GOAT -> THO: Here’s all the info we have on SB & its inhabitants, oh and we’ve got a magic bean and some big diamond thing, too.
THO -> PP: GOAT have located the boy you’re looking for, and they have a magic bean and a big diamond thing too.
PP -> THO: Tell them to smash the big diamond thing with a Dwarf axe in the mines, then everyone in town except for the boy will be destroyed, and him they must bring to NL by using the bean.
THO -> GOAT: Take the big diamond thing into the mines, smash it with a Dwarf axe, and when everyone else in town dies, the boy will be the only one left. Use the bean you have to create a portal and deliver him to NL.
GOAT -> THO: NL? Righto, we live to serve, so whatever you say, boss.

    Oh, yeah! 🙂

In my head, he was carrying it in is pocket when he fell through the portal and we’ll see him give it back to her when they are reunited. And he’ll tell her that holding on it (her, really) was the only thing that kept him going.

FEELS! Wonder how quickly he’s gonna regain consciousness? Maybe he’s wearing it, and Aurora and Mulan see it before he comes to and are all, “That’s what Emma was wearing!” and they get all suspicious about who he is.

I’m not jumping on board GoldHook for that–but if someone wants to make a music video of them I’ll admit I wouldn’t have a problem staring at scenes of them set to music. 😆

If I knew how to make vids, I’d totally make a GoldHook vid to the song Troublemaker by Olly Murs.

The bottomline is: between Neal and Hook, Henry’d much rather that Emma ended up with his dad, but would be acceptive of Hook if that’s who Emma really wants to be. However, like I said, I see the end of the series better reflecting Henry’s happy ending than Emma’s, Regina’s, Hook’s or whoever else’s and to Henry an ending with Neal and Emma as a couple parenting him together is happier than the two of them being friends who co-parent.

Agreed. K&H have said that Henry’s greatest wish is for a happy, united family, (incidentally, something Nealfire has also dreamed of, especially after losing a happy family with his parents, then with his father, then with the Darlings, then with Emma…Bae was as significant of a child to this story as Henry is, and they both want the same thing as their happy ending, a happy family with Emma). They’re at least being civil and cooperating now, but I’d like the show to end with them all truly making amends. Henry could have his bio-parents back together, his adoptive mother welcomed as part of the family, along with his grandpa, and they could all go over to Casa Snowing for a big family dinner every Sunday. (Sidenote: I’d love for Snowing to have another kid by show’s end, so let’s throw an infant aunt/uncle for Henry into the mix too while we’re at it.)

    Agreed with those points, Demileto.

I love me a sentimental object, so like that characters have these types of things on the show. I’m the type who will attach a sentiment to some tiny, random, whatever, and I’ll put it away, then find it again years later, and not even remember the exact reason why I kept it, but the fact that I did keep it, means I can’t throw it out, because it obviously means something special.

As well as the swan pendant and the dreamcatcher, SwanFire also have the Bug. If Emma hadn’t had any love left for Neal, she wouldn’t have kept that car…their getaway car, their mobile home, the very place where they met. Regarding the swan pendant, I can’t wait for the day when he gives it back to her, (you know it’s gotta happen).

Parallels undoubtedly play a role in this show, in that they use them blatantly as a storytelling device when showing how the flashbacks relate to present day events and how people have or haven’t changed as a result of the Curse. And I do get a kick out of little “history repeating” type moments. But sometimes the obsessive dissection of tiny things, like a similar reaction to a certain situation in eps that are half a season or more apart, that stuff just feels like grasping at straws in an attempt to validate a personal viewpoint to me.

As far as the SwanFire/Snowing gifs on that link…

The stuff with Snowing and Kathryn vs SwanFire and Tamara…I guess it’s the same in that there was a triangle based on lies, but I don’t really read any more into it. It’s a standard method of storytelling that if you wanna create drama to keep a couple apart, you throw a third person into the mix, so I don’t see it as history significantly repeating as a clue that SwanFire are meant to be, just like Snowing were.

The wanted poster stuff…I do like that they’ve repeated the theme of living on the run, but I just like it in the sense that it shows that Emma is her mother’s daughter. Even though they never knew each other, and they each grew up in very different worlds under different circumstances, they still ended up being similar. But do I think that there being a wanted poster in a Snowing scene and a wanted poster in a SwanFire scene is a “sign” of the relationships being the same? Nah.

The pregnancy test scenes…well they had to show the moment that Emma found out she was pregnant, because her having Henry is such a vital plot point. And the swinging of the ring for Snow clears up how she knew at a later date that she was pregnant with a girl. I don’t consider the two scenes to be a calculated parallel of each other though.

The parent/child reunion scenes…I assume the gifs are showing the parallel of how the mother has her hands on the side of the child’s face in both instances, but that’s just a perfectly natural action for a parent to do in such a situation. I don’t think they went back to the scene with Snow and Emma and said to JMo, “do this exact same thing to Henry’s face”. There are only so many fitting actions and expressions that a person can have in any given situation, which is why I don’t read much into stuff like this.

I have faith in SwanFire because of their own, personal story together, not because of how it does or doesn’t mirror other characters/relationships.

Hadn’t expected it to rate in that timeslot. The people who schedule Aussie TV will never get this stuff right. Anyone here who is really into a show these days will just download it immediately after it airs in the US, instead of waiting indefinitely for it to come to our local airwaves, so by the time they do get around to showing stuff here, there’s no audience for it.

Out of the Top 20 shows in that list for last night, only 3 were scripted dramas, 2 of those were Law & Order, (which I’ve never got the appeal of personally, but it seems to be universally loved) and a locally made prime time soap.

Ahh. Yep. I think we’ve cracked it. And it wouldn’t surprise me if they add in some sort of unused shot of Charming & Jefferson so we know what time it took place.

At the end of the scene, Jefferson makes a run for it and Red shows up to tell Charming that Regina has Henry, preventing Charming from running after him. I could see them picking it up there, showing the end of that scene, and then showing Jefferson double back to see if his hat is still on the ground outside Granny’s, (which it won’t be, because we later see that David still has it), and that’s when he could run into Cyrus, who is trying to sneak out, having just come up through a portal.

They could even have Cyrus eavesdropping from inside when Jefferson is saying to Charming, “I’m a portal jumper, and you destroyed my portal.” Would tie it together nicely if we’ve just seen Cyrus come through a portal himself a few moments earlier, and would allow them to overlap a familiar scene from OUAT with a new scene to tie it all together. If Cyrus overhears that conversation, he’ll instantly know that he’s in a place populated by magical folks, and it may even cause him to want to work with Jefferson to try and get another portal working to get out of town and back to Alice.

Then they’ll go back to Jefferson’s place to discuss the situation over a spot of tea.

All just speculation right now of course, but the more I think about it, the more potential I see for them to have Cyrus in SB, shacked up with Jefferson.

It is unlikley that the fairy ornament in the garden has any great significance, beyond being a nod to Tink in the pilot, just because she’s an icon of Disney:

Since 1954, Tinker Bell has featured as a hostess for much of Disney’s live-action television programming and in every Disney movie advertisements flying over Disneyland with her magic wand and her fairy dust, beginning with Disneyland (which first introduced the theme park to the public while it was still under construction), to Walt Disney Presents, Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color, and The Wonderful World of Disney.
