I think the first scenario is the likeliest. Going back to the first part of the aforementioned spoiler:

Let us take a look back to what executive producer Edward Kitsis told reporters before the show was picked up to series: “Wonderland takes place post-curse, so the pilot actually starts when magic comes and the Wraith happens.” Note the Wraith, because that's very important to where the spin-off actually picks up, with fans seeing a different character's point of view that won't make you angry.

Angry is a synonym for “mad” which is probably code for the Mad Hatter. This makes me think that the portal opens up in Granny's around when we see Jefferson trapped in his flipped car due to Wraith reeking havoc in SB.

Yeah I'd been thinking that the “angry” was meant to be a hint at “mad” as in Hatter.

Jefferson's car flipped across the road from Granny's:

Jefferson and Charming's conversation about the hat happened outside at Granny's:

Notice that the chairs are up on the table behind them, that's because the Diner was closed at the time, because Granny and Red were with everyone else at the Town Hall:

All things considered, Jefferson's in just the right place to encounter Cyrus if he's sneaking out of Granny's after popping up through a portal in there while there's no one else around.

Thanks for that link, the vid was amazing. The whole thing was choc full of FEELS!

Fave part of it was when they mashed up Nealfire saying how he was trying to get her home with the shot of her parents hugging her and Snow saying “you found us”. If that ain’t proof right there that Nealfire did what he had to do and sacrifice their immediate future together so that eventually Emma could be whole with her family, then I dunno what is. <3

Very possible that he snapped many items on to the ship before they left.

I’ve got this image of them all standing around on deck, asking Rumple to snap stuff up for them before they leave, and in the middle of everyone’s demands, Snow’s all, “I could do with an extra cardi or three from my wardrobe, but for the love of God NOT the pink one.” ๐Ÿ˜›

Was Anton even actually wearing it, or did he just have it on him? Haven’t watched Tallahassee in a while, but I thought he sorta took it out of a pocket after she had him trapped and he slid it out under the cage.

Anyway, regardless, he had the compass simply because Emma needed the compass and they needed to make it a challenge for her to get it somehow. Also, they wanted to introduce Anton and establish a relationship between him and Emma because they intended to bring it up again in the future when he got to SB.

Josephine, your mentioning both the Jabberwocky and impressive cleavage in that post reminded me of Jack. If we see her again, I’ll bet it’ll be in the spinoff, not on OUAT. Maybe as payment for slaying the Jabberwocky, the RQ gave Jack one of her wonderbras. ๐Ÿ˜›

And his appearance of the first time would need to be very quiet, like the woods, because a portal suddenly appearing in SB during S2 would have been a big deal. I guess that’s my issue. If he is in SB during the events of S2 then he had to come via portal and *someone* would have noticed.

Well, as Kranen mentioned on the previous page, there’s that shot in the promo (which I’m guessing even the spoilerphobes have seen, but I’ll use the tags just to be on the safe side) of what appears to be a portal opening up in the middle of Granny's Diner, and it has the same orange glow happening as in the scene where we see Cyrus falling. If that scene in Granny's is in the promo, then it has to have been in the pilot, and given that the pilot wasn't full length, they wouldn't have put stuff in there that wasn't significant. So I think it's highly likely that that's a portal opening up for Cyrus to come through, and once he pops up, the portal closes again and the Diner floor is back in one piece like it never happened. The place looks empty, so there wouldn't be anyone around to witness it, and he could sneak out into SB undetected. Maybe we could get a cameo of Granny thinking she hears something, and she goes to check it out, but by the time she gets there, he's gone.

I honestly think GOAT are working for PP, or at least they’re working for the HO which PP runs. Whether or not they know they’re working for PP is debatable because I don’t think GOAT actually know much, they are just foot soldiers.

Yep, I think that part of the information that GOAT sent to their boss at THO in our world, was information about Henry. We know that Greg took a photo of the tag on his backpack. We know he was essentially investigating Regina. So it stands to reason that he may have even got a photo of Henry at some point.

So their boss is the one in contact with PP, who is the big boss that GOAT don’t know about. Their boss sends PP the information from GOAT, and once PP has confirmation that Henry is there for the taking, he sends back orders for GOAT to kidnap him and bring him to NL. GOAT don’t really know what’s going on, but being the loyal footsoldiers that they are, they believe in their “cause” so much that they don’t ask questions, they just follow orders.

Fairies are the sort of creature I’d expect to see everywhere though, because they feature in many stories and come in many variations.

When you think “mermaid” within the context of possibilities for this show, you think of one specific story, and one specific mermaid, so I’d be more likely to expect that there is one realm inhabited by mermaids.

I could easily buy Cyrus being in SB, even though we haven’t seen him there thus far. They didn’t have the go ahead for this spin off, or the characters cast, during the whole of the shooting of season 2 of OUAT, so I can suspend belief enough to accept that he was there, even if we didn’t see him. Perhaps he’s been hiding out at Jefferson’s place? Maybe they were in WL at the same time in the past, and Jefferson saw Cyrus wandering around SB looking lost and took him in and convinced him to lay low?

Right you are! I hadn’t watched the ep in a while, but just went to check the transcript:

Prince Charming: This is my fault. The siren who lived here? I killed her. Thatโ€™s why the lake is dry.

Assuming his assumption was correct, that explains that.

I still sorta like the idea that the Siren is who Regina was referring to though, if it would fit into the t-word that that scene at Rumple’s place happened before Charming killed her. Now that they’ve foreshadowed that the mermaids are in NL, why would Regina be having a problem with one in FTL, (unless they’re in both places of course)? And I’m thinking she wouldn’t have liked the existence of Lake Nostos, which could nullify spells she might wanna put on people, so I could buy her having a problem with the Siren.
