1. Wendy is running after Bae in the last image, and it looks like she possibly gets left behind because of the expression on her face and the grasping for each otherโs hands.
That’s Hook’s ship! Baelfire is kidnapped by a shadow! Peters’? Hook’s? Wheezing! Must breathe.
I think maybe that’s actually one of Wendy’s brothers, not Bae, and her shocked expression is because it’s the first time Pan ever came for them.
The ship on the window is pretty cool. Didn’t the Jolly Rodger once fly to the Darling’s house? Perhaps it’s a nod to that?

ParticipantAnd here I’d been thinking that the scene when Bae is there would be our only sneaky glimpse of Pan, but that looks like we’ll also see the first time he ever came for the Darlings.

He has some bumps coming up. There is a lot of unfinished business coming up with Neal and Emma and his dad [Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold], and we’re going to see some of the things resolved and some scratch the surface of some of the unfinished business that will be addressed.
Pair that up with what he said specifically about SwanFire in the other interview…
“In this week’s episode, you’re going to see them begin to scratch the surface of the unfinished business they have.
…that must mean that the “things resolved” will be between him and Rumple, yes? Positive game-changer, pretty please!

Also there would be a nice moment over who should give Henry the “birds and the bees talk”
Emma: You should do it, you’re his father.
Neal: You’re his mother, you’ve known him longer than I have.
Emma: You’re a guy. It’s one of those guy things guys like to talk about.
Neal: You can give him the woman’s perspective.
Emma: I am not talking to my son about what’s happening…down there. It’s a guy thing. Just tell him what your father told you at that age.
Neal: I don’t want to scar the kid for life!๐ Rolling on the floor with laughter! Giving Henry the “birds and the bees talk” would be hilarious!
Especially if there’s a fish (mermaid) involved. Awkward.
They couldn’t go the Ariel/Eric route with them though, because Henry is from our present day and we already have the story of the mermaid falling for her prince, so it’s already happened. Given that Henry is his own, new, fairytale character, I think that his twu wuv will ultimately have to be some character we don’t know of, or at least someone we don’t know of as having her own twu wuv. Would it be too early in the show’s run to introduce such a character now if she’s gonna be Henry’s endgame? I guess in TV you never have a guarantee about how long your show’s run will be, so maybe they would plant that seed now. Hmmmm.

What if Bae is not the one who lets slip the information about the weapon to Hook anyway? I honestly do not see Bae doing that even in a weak moment. However I could see him telling someone he trusts completely and then they tell Hook.
That’s a possibility. Perhaps Baelfire told Tinkerbell about the dagger, and she divulged that information to Hook in a moment in weakness. We know Tink isn’t the most reliable secret-keeper, since she divulged the location of Peter’s hideout to Hook in the cartoon version.
That’s what I’ve been thinking, that Bae would have to confide at least some information in someone, and then they would be the one to let the info slip to Hook. Tink is a likely candidate, though now it also seems that he was probably close friends with Wendy.
ETA: After listening to the in-depth podcast of “Evil Queen” I realize Daniel made a good point. Did Captain Hook know Maleficent? He recognized her, even though she was undead. Hook said, “Love you in earth tones.” So, just maybe, after Hook arrived back in the EF from NL, Maleficent is the one who tipped Hook off about the Dark One’s dagger and let him know where to find Belle.
Works for me. Regina would have kept a tight lid on the fact that she had Belle, because she’d told Rumple that she was dead, and getting caught in that lie would not have boded well for her. If there’s one person she would tell, it would likely be her best frenemy. “OMG girlfriend, you won’t believe the EPIC scam I just pulled off against the freaking Dark One!”
And if Hook was traipsing around FTL trying to find out about a weapon to kill a powerful magical being, he’d probably try to hit up other powerful magical beings like Maleficent for info. He really did seem to recognise her very quickly. Oh, please let us get a flashback of Hook flirting with Maleficent! That would be delicious. Bet she can give as good as she gets.

ParticipantCan’t wait to see these two start addressing the emo hot mess that’s between them.
“It’s incredibly difficult for him to turn that corner and even entertain the idea that a big betrayal, akin to being betrayed by his father, would happen again. It’s something that he’s not ready to even think about.”
Poor Nealfire. ๐ฅ
“I wanted to love you. I was too afraid …
Pretty sure he’s actually saying, “I wanted to look for you,” isn’t he?

I’m much more fond of the Dorothy theory that Oz was not a good place to her and in order to ensure no one went there again or that no one from OZ could come here, she formed the Home Office (maybe with the Wizard) to eradicate magic.
But back to the Darlings…while I do think flying to NL is going to be the central way to get there, it doesn’t mean it’s the only way. They’ve hinted at “Neverland-adjacent” which is frustratingly opaque and could indicate that there are other ways to reach NL besides flying. And like I said, once George died, maybe the Home Office’s mission changed to eradicating magic (let’s go nuts and combine the two: maybe Dorothy took over the Home Office because she had been recruited by them when she got back from Oz and then she, years later, recruited GOAT). When companies change hands often times the mission and outlook of that company changes depending on who is now in charge.
And I do think it’s worth mentioning that the Home Office has probably been around for a long time, as they seem to have unparalleled resources at their disposal.Even though it’s just wild speculation at this point, I’m totally down with something like this happening. K&H said they’re trying to take us in a direction we haven’t seen before with this Home Office stuff, and that would be something original. FWIW, concerning the mashing up of the Darlings and Dorothy/Wizard of Oz, there’s a hot air balloon hanging over one of the beds in that room with the pics of Bae, Wendy, and her mother. Might mean nothing. Might mean something.
I’m also down with Wendy still being alive in NL.
And I’m also down with Pan being mashed up with the Pied Piper.
Speculating is fun. ๐

In fact, I don’t think Hook knew that the boy he meets was Milah’s son (not at first, anyway).
I hadn’t been thinking he knew either, but the new pic of Hook and Bae on the ship has made me question if perhaps he did know. Hook seems to be gesturing towards a place on the ship’s deck, and Bae’s looking where he’s pointing with a heartbroken expression, whilst clutching a picture that appears to be a portrait of someone.
The pic could either be a pic of Milah, (that Bae finds and he questions Hook about it), or maybe a pic of Bae that Milah drew during her time with Hook, (which is how he recognises the kid). Hook could be pointing to the spot where Rumple killed her. That could explain why the kid looks devastated.

When we first see Hook, back in the EF, he not only knows that there is a magical weapon, he also knows about Belle. The information about Belle could not have come Bae. There has to be a 3rd party involved.
True. If Hook was tracking Rumple’s movements in FTL, that surely would have led him to Belle’s homeland at some point and discovered that she went to live with him, (your idea about him actually being hired to find Belle is intriguing). How many people would have known that Regina had Belle locked up? That information can’t have been too easy for Hook to come by.

I think either Granny will legit die or Baelfire’s soul will be sent to the same place as Philip’s soul, and everyone will think Neal is dead.
I do think Granny is going to die at the hands of Tamara.
Granny is still my bet as well, based purely on the fact that Beverley was on set that day they were shooting on the rocks, but there was no info leaked about what she was doing in the scene. Suspicious!
As far as Nealfire goes, I think he’s gonna disappear when he accidentally pops down a portal back to FTL, (where he’ll meet up with MAP after they’ve saved Phillip). Only thing I dunno is how the SBers would know that he’s disappeared to another world, unless someone sees it happen? As for how he’ll end up in a portal, my best guess about that right now is that he discovers Tamara’s true self and confronts her about it, so she pops a bean and pushes him in to get rid of the threat before he can blab to the whole town.
The only way he could be convincingly presumed dead is if he gets Wraithed and they find his body, but as far as we know right now, there’s no one in town with the ability to Wraith someone.

ParticipantThen what inspired Hook to leave NL and go back to FTL? That’s why it fits for me that he discovered the info about a weapon via Bae somehow, even if not directly or intentionally. Hook went to NL so he’d have all the time in the world to figure out how to get his revenge. There was someone (Bae) in NL who knew there was a weapon that could kill Rumple. Then Hook shows up back in FTL again, trying to find out more info about the mystery weapon.
